Young Master Chu’s Guide to Spoiling his Wife - Chapter 43

Shen Qian Yun’s words turned Gu Xiao Xiao’s sniffling into giggling. She breathed in and rubbed her eyes, “Grandma, aren’t you afraid that I won’t be able to marry myself off and that I’d have to stay with you for the rest of my life?”

“Nonsense! You are so good at making people happy. I don’t have enough time in the world to spoil you, why would I find you annoying?”

After telling Shen Qian Yun about this, Gu Xiao Xiao felt a lot more relaxed. Days at home were peaceful so before she knew it, her break was over.

Gu Xiao Xiao never brought up the fact that she wanted to bring her to City B. Though Shen Qian Yun doesn’t have other families around, she has never left this place all these years so Gu Xiao Xiao wasn’t sure how to bring it up.

In the blink of an eye, a week had passed. Gu Xiao Xiao was still too afraid to speak up, which troubled Chu Xiao Xi.

Today, Gu Xiao Xiao went downstairs to the supermarket, leaving Chu Xiao Xi and Shen Qian Yun home alone.

Shen Qian Yun sat in the living room and watched Chu Xiao Xi sticking out her head from her bedroom. She waved her over and Chu Xiao Xi sat by Shen Qian Yun, held onto her arms, and called her grandma.

“You said you are here for fun but you never go outside with Xiao Xiao.” Chu Xiao Xi has been very busy these days. Shen Qian Yun was not blind and could obviously tell. “I am very grateful that you accompanied Xiao Xiao here despite your busy schedule.”

“Grandma, you don’t need to be so polite. I have been treating Xiao Xiao like she is my family for a long time. Accompanying her is normal.”

“Xiao Xiao is simple-minded and I can tell you are a smart kid. With you by her side, grandma isn’t worried.

Makeup can change how a person looks and clothes can show a person’s taste. However, someone’s temperament cannot be faked.

Having lived so many years, Shen Qian Yun knew how to read people. No matter how she looked at Chu Xiao Xi, she can tell that Xiao Xi was no ordinary family’s kid. Shen Qian Yun was sure of it.

“Grandma, how about you come with us to City B in a couple of days?” Chu Xiao Xi suddenly suggested.

“Go to City B?” Shen Qian Yun didn’t see this coming and was a little startled, “Why would I go to City B?”

“As you know, Xiao Xiao and I are living off-campus now and I have to travel internationally in a while with no set return date. Xiao Xiao hasn’t been in too great of a mood lately so I wonder if you can come back with us? I also get to be blessed with your cooking that way.”

“The reason you came… is mainly for this right?”

“Nothing can get passed your sharp eyes!”

Shen Qian Yun looked at Chu Xiao Xi in silence and didn’t speak for a long time. Chu Xiao was a little nervous about this. Just as Chu Xiao Xi was about to get a little worried and was about to change the subject, Shen Qian Yun suddenly nodded and agreed.

“Alright, it’s been a while since I have visited a big city. I will use this opportunity and look around City B!”

The moment Gu Xiao Xiao pushed open the door, she heard Shen Qian Yun’s statement. She was standing by the open door and she even forgot to close it. Looking at Shen Qian Yun and Chu Xiao Xi with her eyes and mouth wide open, she was as shocked as ever.

She didn’t know what Chu Xiao Xi did to make Shen Qian Yun agree to this. But Shen Qian Yun had agreed to go to City B with them. That was a fact.

When it was time to go, The three of them sat on the train heading to City B. They chatted and joked. Very soon, they reached their destination.

“Grandma, this way!” Gu Xiao Xiao happily led the way. She turned her head back and said to Shen Qian Yun and Chu Xiao Xi, “There shouldn’t be traffic right now. We will very soon…”

Before she could finish, Gu Xiao Xiao bumped into someone before her. She was a little shocked and quickly apologized. What greeted her, however, was two unexpected faces.
