“Your boyfriend?” Pretty Sister asked as she looked down at Peach who looked childish. After all, Peach was a year younger than the other students in first grade. Standing amongst the other first graders, she seemed exceptionally petite.
Peach corrected the beautiful teacher’s mistake in a serious tone, “No. He’s my husband.”
“Oh I see.” A look of surprise crossed the teacher’s face as she nodded and beckoned Shen Mochen to come forward.
Glancing at Peach who was still practising her standing posture in the classroom, Shen Mochen frowned and reluctantly trudged in.
Pretty Sister pointed to Peach who was standing feebly and said to Shen Mochen, “She will still have to practise for a while. You can grab a chair to sit and wait for her.”
“It’s fine. I’ll stand here to wait for her,” Shen Mochen replied briskly, staring at Peach intently with his sharp eyes, as if trying to burn a hole in her.
“Umm…” Pretty Sister looked at Peach, as if to say “Your husband is not very good at talking.” She then seriously continued correcting Peach’s standing posture.
Oddly enough, ever since Shen Mochen entered the dance classroom, Peach became a lot more obedient. She was able to complete her standing posture training in accordance with the requirements of her beautiful teacher who was astonished and clicking her tongue in wonder.
Pretty Sister said with a despondent expression on her face, “Indeed, the charm of your teacher is no match for your husband.” She then patted Peach’s tiny head and said gently, “Okay, you’re good to go. Pack up and head home.”
“Okay, goodbye Pretty Sister!” Peach hurriedly grabbed her clothes, changed her shoes, and snatched her backpack off the floor before dashing to Shen Mochen. She said with a grin, “Let’s go.”
Shen Mochen glanced at the beautiful teacher standing behind them, and calmly uttered, “Goodbye, teacher.” After which, he sauntered out of the classroom without looking back.
“Ah, wait for me!” Peach called out, struggling to catch up with him with her pile of belongings.
When Shen Mochen was in sixth grade, Peach was promoted to fifth grade.
The sixth graders were about to sit for the graduation examination for elementary school, in order for them to enter middle school. While other parents were extremely nervous, Shen Mochen still calmly attended school and would wait for Peach to find him in his classroom after school.
Over the past few years, everybody in elementary school knew about the famous Shen Mochen having a little girlfriend.
Sixth grade was the time when teachers would start noticing puppy love amongst students. However, the teachers in school had seen Peach and Shen Mochen be inseparable from the first to the sixth grade. Initially, they had thought that it was just puppy love between Peach and Shen Mochen as they were just children. Yet, the teachers did not expect them to be so serious. Although Shen Mochen always seemed to ignore Peach on the surface, he would still go home with her every day after school.
This year happened to be the sixtieth anniversary of their elementary school.
Various activities were being held in the school to celebrate the anniversary. The space along the corridor of the classrooms were being freed up to display students’ art pieces. Needless to say, the most prominent one was Shen Mochen’s artwork.
Although the extracurricular classes held in elementary school were just to go through the motions, Shen Mochen relied on his own talent to master his sketching skills. His drawings were wonderful and very realistic. While other students’ art pieces only took up one or two frames along the corridor, Shen Mochen’s artworks filled the entire corridor.
On New Year’s Day, a cultural performance was held in the school. Students from the various extracurricular classes were required to perform.
