Mr. Xu turned to the third page and stared at the drawing for what seemed like an eternity. On the paper, there was only a figure somewhat similar to brackets, except that it was plumper than brackets.
Hmm… How should he describe the drawing… It looked like an apple without leaves. Given that the first two drawings were of food, Mr. Xu looked at Peach confidently voiced out with a smile, “Peach, is your third drawing of an apple?”
Peach’s face was one of shock as she stared wide-eyed at Mr. Xu.
He was mistaken afterall!
“It… isn’t?” Mr. Xu whispered to Peach who was next to him, as he continued wiping the beads of perspiration forming on his forehead.
“Teacher, I draw two buttocks!” Peach’s crisp voice resounded throughout the classroom, instantly shattering Mr Xu’s aesthetic outlook after twenty years of teaching.
“Hahaha…” the other children broke out into peals of laughter.
Even the corner of Shen Mochen’s lips turned up. This was rare.
“Well… Let’s take a look at the sketchbook of the next student.” Mr. Xu felt that he was about to faint at his desk. He briefly flipped through the rest of Peach’s drawings but they were too abstract. This little girl even drew two buttocks, who knew if she had drawn other censored organs in her other drawings. If he guessed wrongly again, he would probably faint and have his students carry him out of the classroom.
“Okay…” Peach muttered, and left the teacher’s desk unhappily. She actually thought that her other drawings were quite good.
Later on, Mr. Xu approached Peach’s parents and tactfully expressed his opinion that Peach was not cut out for art. He then suggested that they should sign Peach up for the extracurricular dance class instead. After all, she was an adorable girl and learning dance would benefit her by improving her temperament and elegance.
After returning home, Peach’s parents tactfully conveyed Mr. Xu’s message to Peach. They repeatedly assured her that although Shen Mochen was in a different extracurricular class, their classes would end at the same time, so she would still be able to go home with him. Peach pouted, unwilling to agree.
Ever since the art class, Peach became famous for her drawing. For a few days after the class, teachers teaching different grades would often visit Peach’s classroom to take a look at her, and she would be cheerfully introduced to the other teachers as the girl who drew two buttocks.
Even Shen Mochen became a celebrity in the eyes of teachers of all grades. Occasionally when they saw him, they would point at him with a smile and introduce him as the husband of the girl who drew buttocks.
Although the teachers were just joking, Shen Mochen was unhappy about it for a few days. Originally, he was only known for his good grades amongst the lower grade students. Now, all the teachers in school know about his relationship with Peach. Once famous for his abilities and an idol-like presence, he was now a topic of gossip, associated with Peach’s apple-like buttocks drawing. How could he not be depressed?
Fortunately, the effects of Peach’s drawings were not long-lasting. The teachers simply joked about it for a few days as a happy thing, and let it slide.
However, Shen Mochen ignored Peach for those few days, leaving her with a look of dismay as she stared at him. Sigh… She regretted signing up for the art class.
