When The Villainess Loves - Chapter 3

Because of the heroine and the male lead, he lost his precious friend, Herrace. He deserved to become a villain.

“Oh, I’ve been organizing the facts, and it looks like everyone has been used as a mean to make Ariel stand out.”

Or it was used as a tool to reveal the scary personality of the crown prince.

“I’ve come inside this novel, but how could I just overlook this?”

The miserable futures of my favorite characters is an unpleasant sight.

Before the original work begins, I could at least twist up the situation a bit so that they could be safe.

“In the first place, Robert and Ariel will love each other and  marry each other no matter wether they have supporting characters around or not.”

An obsessive man isn’t an obsessive man for no reason. So don’t try to mess with them, my beloved supporting roles. And with me as well.

I made a a table and finished it up neatly. Inside the table I have written down all the supporting characters I want to meet, the things I want to do for them and the small wishes I want to share with them.

“One person is a little vague.”

One part of the list was a bit irritating: Daniel.

The character, who gave the last ordeal to the heroine and male lead, who was the leader of the assassination guild and the friend of the sub-male-lead.

Unlike the three sub-male-leads, who’s apperances were described detailed inside the book, I had no information of Daniel’s appearance beside his brown hair.

“Your identity is attractive through.”

He is the last member of a royal family, whose country was invaded and destroyed by the Empire.

“He’s the only one I am worried about meeting.”

Because I’m the princess. Unlike the others, there was nothing I could do for him.

“Let’s put Daniel on hold for now!”

He’s a friend of the sub-male-leads, so I might meet him regardless of my decision.

Well, if we meet… .

“Loudly, I’ll have to look in the lobes.”

I can do that as a fan of the original, right?

After a rough conclusion, I hummed while arranging the papers.

“Then, rest well, Your Highness.”

“Yes, good luck!”

From some time now, my two maids Rinnie and Arin, and Emma my maid of honor, were holding up a bowl full with my hairpins.

For a week before I noticed that I possessed a character inside a book, I was almost out of my mind. It seemed to have tanken quite the effect on my surroundings. During that week, while worrying about me, Emma gathered the other attendants to serve me.

It doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters to me is my safety and the safety of my beloved supporting characters.

But I’m being nice. Especially to Emma.

‘Because she was the last one to stay with my unnie.‘

Emma, who had a strange look on her face, quietly closed the door and went out.

When I was waving my hands to farewell her, I suddenly felt dizzy.

“… Are you tired?”

Am I eating well and sleeping well?  Then the realization came to my mind: “Ah!”

Leticia unnie told me, that the disease will only be cured after my soul became completely one with her body.  So as of now, this body was still sick.

Come to think of it, Leticia unnie often stumbled when she was alone even before her illness was revealed in the original book.

“I used to say that she was terribly gruesome and fascinating when she curled up her lips while sweating with a pale face.”

It was a scene that I wanted to witness while helping her myself. Me, who has died in her past life, has now taken over Leticia-unnie’s ill body right now.

Hehe.

“Hey, I’m in trouble anyway.”

If I have anaemia all the time, my plan for the next three months could become completly useless.

I also need to meet the emperor to declare my withdrawal from my right to succeed the throne. But I’m still not ready for that yet.

“I need to see a doctor first.”

Emma and the two maids were not the only ones who stay with me in my palace:
Doctor Rox does so as well. I thought of him as a warmhearted old man.

I hurried out of the room hoping hoping he could help me easen the anaemia.

“But it really doesn’t hurt at all. I don’t feel any pain at all.”

As I headed to the doctor’s office quickly, I was amazed of myself.

Most of the people inside the Imperial Palace are congegated at the “Palace of Palm”. There, research and treatment are conducted parallel with the full support of the imperial family.

But there is one exception for the imperial family.

There was an exclusive representative in the palace, where the imperial family reside. The representative stays in a small clinic.

Fortunately, this clinic was not far from the princess’ room.

When I knocked and opened the door to the clinic, the old doctor in a light green suit welcomed me.

“No, Your Highness?”

The friendly-faced old doctor welcomed me with round eyes.

I approached him with a grin while looking at his warm smile. Perhaps Leticia-unnie has never visited this doctor.

Unnie was extremely wary of her illness being known of by others.

But I didn’t really care about that. I’m going to do what I want to do and leave here in three months, whether it’s publically known or not.

“Is your Highness not feeling well?”

So it doesn’t matter if this person knows of the disease or not. Rather than that, it’s about time to recieve some help!

I spoke softly to the doctor, who had a worried look in his eyes.

“I came here because I wanted to get the Lanois examination done. Is it possible right now?”

The Lanois test, in other words, was a very thoroughly done medical examination here.

The test, that could provide detailed insight of the body, could only be done by doctors who knew how to handle and control mana.

It is a basic test that any doctor employed at the palace could do.

Leticia-unnie’s disease could only be found out through this Lanois examination.

The original story said, that she never took the test again after she had it once when she was still young.

“Of course it’s possible. However your Royal Highness, are you not feeling well? If that’s the case, you’d better tell me the symptoms first.”

The old doctor, Rox, carefully explained. I answered with a gentle smile, just like I do with Emma.

“The symptoms aren’t special, but I think my stamina has decreased. I get tired very easily.”

I started with common symptoms.

“Yes, yes.”

Up to this point, it seemed to be considered insignificant, but in the words that followed, one couldn’t take lightly.

“… and I’ve been vomiting a little blood.”

“Wait, did you vomit blood?”

He was amazed, so I showed him my blood-stained palm.

It was the trace of finding my unies’s memory when she was 1 years old after 3 days.

The reason I told him I was vomiting blood was because I needed to cure my anaemia.

Only Rox had to disclose the truth of my statements before prescribing me some medication.

Anemia release. I also needed a diagnosis with the disease in mind.

Since I was constantly vomiting blood, it was impossible to manage the anaemia myself.

“But there’s nothing else particularly strange about it.”

When I talked in an insignificant tone and a blurry smile on my face, he was amazed and the wrinkled face of Rox, who listened to me more attentively, became very serious.

“Please sit here for a moment!”

The doctor who only looked calml on the surface, led me to with a quite anxious attitude.  As I watched him, I followed his lead quietly.

“Will it takes a long time?”

“It’ll take half a day.”

“I see. I’m sorry to trouble you with this.”

“What are you saying, your highness? No, it’s no trouble to me.”

Rox shook his head with a serious face. Then he began his examination meticulously.

I waited for him to discover my illness.

Perhaps he’d like to prescribe some painkillers, but all I needed was a “temporary measure against anaemia” based on a clear picture of the situation. Why don’t you give me blood supplements?

How long has it been now?

A red light spread outside the window like and in an instant the sky was colored in blue darkness.

“Are you done?”, I asked while savoring the moment at the end of the day.

“… .”

“It’s all right. Go ahead and tell me.”

Rox kept his mouth shut after the examination. At my urging he opened his mouth again and again.

Then he looked at me and groaned: “How could I…”

“Huh?”

For a moment, he kept his mouth shut and looked at me, and when he came to groan full of regrets, he sprang up to his feet with a face full of determination.

I sat idly by and watched him move busily, lock the door and close the window meticulously.

What, what are you doing?

After he finished, he pulled another chair right in front of me and sat down. Then he opened his mouth with a very heavy expression.

“Your Highness, how are you enduring this?”

I stared at him bewilderedly, and soon realized he was talking about my painless symptoms.

‘No, he doesn’t know about the painlessness, so how am I holding back the pain?’

I’m thinking about what to say, but Rox said without waiting any longer for my answer: “The official name of the illness is ‘Rafaelis’. It is also called ‘angel’s doll’.”

Rox spoke with a whisper that only I could hear it. It was such a serious atmosphere that I listened with my head down as if I were hiding.

“I am afraid you have already heard of it, your highness. On the day of the winter queen’s visit, iceblue flowers are in full bloom. … It’s Blairwell’s poem.”

“… .”

I hardened my serious look.
