The moment they broke through the magic barrier, Locke’s Steel Dragon sent a message through the system.
“There’s a large amount of dark magic essence in the space. Would you like to absorb it into the Hanos Steel Dragon’s dragon core?”
Of course, Locke could not miss out on such a good opportunity. He immediately chose ‘yes’!
The hundred-meter-long steel dragon immediately transformed into a thousand-meter-long dragon. Its huge body blotted out the sky and the sun. It looked even more terrifying than the dark clouds in the sky.
Adele and Warren, who were resting on the dragon’s back, woke up immediately after feeling a huge magical wave sweeping through them.
When they opened their eyes, they realized that the dragon was growing infinitely, reaching a thousand meters in size.
The frightened Warren asked Locke, “Kid! What are you doing?”
Locke waved his hand to calm him down. Then, he explained, “I’m only absorbing the power of the source of darkness in this space. I think that I can suppress the abyssal passage on the ground by reducing the dark energy!”
The four of them immediately went to the dragon’s head. Looking down from the side, the ground was already filled with undead creatures. Clifford casted a spell to calculate, and there were about 500,000 Abyss Death Destroyers!
As the Steel Dragon continued to absorb the source of the dark element in the space, the huge magic formation that enveloped the mountains quickly collapsed due to the loss of energy. Without the energy provided by the magic array, the gap in the abyss kept shrinking.
Just as it was about to close completely, a huge figure and a hellish dragon directly charged forward. The evil dragon used its claws to expand the abyssal rift. After a few more special humanoid creatures walked out, the dragon released its claws.
The 12th team leader glanced at the crack in the Abyss and immediately ordered Locke to change the direction of the dragon, turn around and flee.
“Run! If we don’t leave now, we won’t be able to leave!”
The confused Locke immediately commanded the Steel Dragon to stop absorbing the dark energy, and they prepared to fly out through the magic barrier. However, it was already too late. Before the thousand-meter-tall body could turn around, it was struck by a tremendous force.
Thankfully, the steel dragon turned around and the attack avoided its vitals. The steel dragon did not fall because of this. It activated the automatic protection device and its body shrunk immediately. With the four people on its back protected, it left the dangerous area quickly.
Seeing the dragon leave, the Lord of the Abyss on the land let out a sigh of relief.
“Thank goodness they left! When they first passed through the abyssal rift, the energy consumed was too great! If they attack us directly, it will be hard to say who would win this battle!”
After escaping from that mysterious man and his dragon, they sighed in relief. The pressure from the black beam of light was just too great! Team 12’s captain, Adele, was the only one still looking at the mountains.
‘The Lord of the Abyss!’
Seeing the tense in the imposing Adele, Clifford could not help but approach her and ask, “The creature that came out of the abyss at the end…”
“Do you know what it is?”
Adele remained silent. She composed herself and found a place to sit down.
Once they returned to the underground branch of the Dunmei Dark Blade Dragons, Adele told Green everything that had happened and her speculations.
“The Lord of the Abyss! They actually opened the door to the far future!”
“Who is behind this, exactly? Tarafaldon? Or—”
Speculation alone would not change the fact that the Lord of the Abyss had arrived. The only thing he could do now was deliver the information to the Senate and the King.
“You guys can stay in the city and wait for news today! This situation is more urgent than we thought, so please do not wander around. Everyone, stay in the city and wait for the news!”
Just as Locke and Clifford walked out of the underground branch, a magic alarm sounded in the city.
“The red Cosmic Disaster is arriving. Everyone, from today onwards, please stay in your rooms and do not wander around! There could be abnormalities happening in the Dunmei Kingdom at any time!”
The alarm kept echoing throughout the city. The leader of Team 12 and the leader of Team 9 ignored Locke and left. Helpless, Locke could only follow Clifford to Princess Vicki’s inn.

As Dunmei’s situation was very unstable, Locke wrote a letter on the table and handed it to Smythe.
“This is the letter I wrote to my father! You should know that something strange happened in the city today! It won’t be long before the enemies in the southern mountains attack! So, during this period of time, please move to Reynolds mansion! That is the furthest place from the battlefield, and it is the safest place at this stage!
After hearing Locke’s words, Smythe nodded and went downstairs to prepare the carriage and items.
It would take them almost half a month to get to the Reynolds mansion by carriage from Dunmei!
