“Still Normal Rank!”

Crayon Knife wailed, making Fatty almost go crazy.

Luo Moling burst out into laughter and clutched her stomach from laughing too much. There was nothing that made her happier than seeing Fatty suffer.

Fatty gritted his teeth but felt helpless. When he looked at the system time, there were more than 10 minutes left before daybreak. Thus, he told Luo Moling, “What are you laughing for? Forge two so I can see if you’re so capable!”

Luo Moling waved her hand arrogantly. “Alright, follow me!”

The Tailor’s Shop was located in the next alley, so they reached it in two minutes. Unfortunately, two Normal Rank items and one Refined Rank item were forged out of Luo Moling’s three consecutive forging attempts.

This Refined equipment was the blueprint for the cloth armor Snail of Darkness created. +2 Intelligence, +1 Spirit. It was considered a high-quality item the Mage Classes could use. Snail of Darkness happily took the cloth armor and hastily changed into it.

“How was it?” Luo Moling lifted her chin arrogantly and looked at Fatty. She was not confident when she’d forged a Normal Rank item at the start. However, after successfully forging this Refined cloth armor, she felt that she could make Fatty suffer a blow.

“Don’t be so proud!” Fatty looked at the time and discovered that daybreak was arriving very soon. “I still have the Staff Crafting Blueprint on hand. I’m not defeated yet!”

The competition had started out of the blue. Luo Moling was temporarily in the lead, but Fatty still had one last chance. Whether he would be able to turn the tides and beat Luo Moling would depend on this last attempt.

Fated Sky and company watched on excitedly, certainly unwilling to miss out on the last showdown. Therefore, the whole group went back to the blacksmith.

While standing before the anvil, Fatty silently let out a long breath and began counting the time.

Upon seeing Fatty remain still for a long time, Luo Moling scoffed, “Are you losing confidence? Give up! Surrender and I’ll let you lose just by half!”

As for what they would be losing, the two of them had not made any deals, so Fatty ignored her. He suddenly lifted the hammer and started forging when there were only 15 seconds left until daybreak.

By the time the completion rate was complete, the sky had turned bright.

Luo Moling and company did not notice this detail, for they were all staring unblinkingly at Fatty and waiting for the latter to appraise the Staff.

He clenched his jaw and appraised the Staff. They needed to see the results, no matter what.

Fatty suddenly lifted his head and laughed boisterously when he saw the Staff’s stats.

Luo Moling and the rest looked at each other upon hearing his laughter. This also attracted the attention of the rest of the players around the blacksmith stage. This laughter could only mean two things: Fatty had either gone crazy over repeatedly forging Normal Rank equipment, or he had produced a high-quality item.

“What did you make? Show us the stats!”

“Yeah! Why the hell do you keep laughing?”

Surrounded by a group of players, Fatty told Luo Moling arrogantly, “Humph! Now I’ve beaten you completely!”

Then, he walked off the blacksmith stage and found a place to set up his stall before he showed the stats of the Staff he had just forged!

[Profound Staff of the World Tree]

Level: 10

Rank: Superior

Physical Attack: 10-12

Magic Attack: 21-30

+3 Intelligence

+2 Constitution

+2 Mana Restoration/Second in Combat

After using the skill, one had a 25% chance of increasing the next magic damage by 10 points.

Durability: 60/60

Forger: Chicken Sugar

Everyone gasped when they saw the stats. Someone even exclaimed, “Explosive damage! Explosive durability! It can even increase two player stats! This is extremely high quality!”

Luo Moling, Fated Sky, and the rest were stunned. They had never seen this before in real life, but the official website stated the damage of different Level 10 weapons. Normal Rank weapons would inflict about 8-10 damage, while Refined Rank ones were slightly higher at about 12-15. Superior Rank weapons would deliver about 16-19 damage, although the Superior Rank Staff of the Magic Classes would be stronger and inflict around 18-22 damage with a durability of 25-40. However, the Staff Fatty had forged would cause 30 magic damage and its durability was 60!

Most importantly, there were additional stats. +3 Intelligence and +2 Constitution were stats seen in Refined Rank equipment so they were nothing extraordinary. However, the in-combat mana restoration and the possible increase in magic damage were both stats only found in Superior Rank equipment. Moreover, even though the average Superior Rank piece of equipment would only have one such stat, there were two in the Staff Fatty had forged!

Such a high-quality Staff could be used up to Level 25!

No wonder he looked so proud…

“Boss, are you selling this Staff? Name a price!”

“Yes, tell us the price. So long as it is below 1 Gold Coin, I’m willing to pay anything!”

There was a big number of Magic Class players in the blacksmith shop who had come either to forge equipment or to wait and see if they could obtain a Refined Rank Staff other players had forged. Upon seeing the Staff Fatty had forged, they felt as though the other Refined Rank Staffs being sold at the stalls in the game were fake.

As the Magic Class players surrounded Fatty in an attempt to purchase the Staff, one of the players in the crowd suddenly said, “Chicken Sugar? Why is this name so familiar?”

Then, he shouted, “Ah! I remember now! My elder brother mentioned that they teamed up with a Thief to clear the dungeon. That Thief was carrying a Superior Rank Dagger forged by someone named ‘Chicken Sugar’!”

Silence. Everyone looked at Fatty.

“That’s right! It was me!” Fatty announced proudly. “That Thief should be called ‘Create a Future’. I still remember him. The Superior Dagger he owns was indeed forged by me!”

This caused an uproar. The game had only started that day, yet this Venomancer had already forged two Refined Rank weapons! How could this be possible? Even though they were both Level 10 weapons, at this stage of the game, when there was Normal and Refined Rank equipment everywhere, a Superior Rank weapon would make one stand out from the crowd!

The players looked at each other. Then, someone hollered and they all charged toward Fatty and surrounded him.

“Big Brother, help me forge a weapon! I will supply the materials and I am willing to pay any amount of money for your services!”

“Me too! Help me forge one for two Silver Coins!”

“Four! I offer four Silver Coins if you help me forge first!”

“Big Brother, have you learned to tailor yet? Can you help me make cloth armor?”

“I have a rare Ring Blueprint. I do not trust just anyone to craft it. Have you studied alchemy? Help me out!”

Following the opening of the Gerov Bandit Camp Dungeon, quite a few players owned various kinds of blueprints. As they were difficult to obtain, these players would either sell them or request the help of an expert to forge the items. Hopefully, they could obtain a high-quality item. There was no way these players would find someone else when a blacksmithing expert who had managed to forge two Superior Rank items in a day was right before them!

These excited players surrounded Fatty, pushing Luo Moling and Fated Sky to the side. While looking at the surging crowd, Luo Moling felt helpless in this unexpected situation, although she still felt disgruntled over losing to Fatty.

The commotion caused by a forging expert should not be underestimated. Such experts were hard to come by, exactly because no equipment could be obtained by killing monsters. Everyone wanted the highest quality of equipment, but where could they get it? Therefore, a lucky or reputable forging expert was the most important asset one could have! Otherwise, the players would have to scourge for blueprints and attempt forging them themselves.

Crayon Knife and Snail of Darkness were very excited when they witnessed this turn of events. They had already decided to seek Brother Chicken’s help if they ever wanted to forge weapons or equipment in the future!

Fatty was completely surrounded by a huge number of people and would not be able to escape anytime soon. Hence, the two of them added Fatty to their friend list and sent him a message before they logged off to rest.

Luo Moling and Fated Sky did the same, for they also knew that Fatty would be stuck here for quite some time.

Fatty wanted to see the expression on Luo Moling’s face when she realized she had lost, but he could not leave. Some of the players were asking if he was selling the Staff, while others were clinging onto him, asking him to forge equipment. Helpless, Fatty had no choice but to start earning money.

It was only the first day of the game, yet so many people were forcing him to make money. Fatty was in a dual state of torture and pleasure.

He set a fixed price of three Silver Coins per Level 10 weapon and heavy armor forged. This price was considered quite high, considering that a player’s income would at most be 3 Silver Coins after they completed the Gerov Bandit Camp Dungeon. In order words, Fatty was taking all the money they’d earned from one dungeon run.

Even so, many players still sought his help, so he received nearly 20 sets of materials and blueprints.

He had never forged so happily before. After completing the 20 sets, he obtained nearly 60 Silver Coins. Combined with the 37 Silver Coins he already had on hand, he almost owned one Gold Coin.

Most importantly, his forging proficiency had increased drastically! The 20 sets of blueprints, which were at Level 10 and above, gave him more than 260 proficiency points. Fatty’s total proficiency had exceeded 400 points, taking into account the four blueprints he had forged earlier.

He could now forge Level 20 weapons and equipment!

One blueprint was worth around 6-7 Silver Coins, so 20 blueprints were worth around 1 Gold Coin and 6 Silver Coins. If he had wanted to buy blueprints to increase his blacksmithing proficiency, he would not have possessed sufficient financial power to do so. Now, he did not have to pay for anything and he instead earned some points. One could say that these proficiency points had been obtained for free!

Fatty was extremely happy that he had managed to forge 10 Refined pieces of equipment out of the 20 blueprints. The other 10 were Normal Rank items with extra Stats! This might be because his proficiency had increased, as the forging process was not done during daybreak.

Everyone was shocked when they tabulated the numbers. Regardless of how Fatty had done it, his reputation was set!

Fatty felt proud, even as he congratulated himself for not failing to deliver and successfully concealing the truth.

He would ask for a higher fee the next time someone wanted him to forge something!

After a lot of difficulty, Fatty could finally log off. It was already 12:30 at night. He was feeling a little tired, but this was the first time he had ever felt so happy. After all, he had never experienced the feeling of being revered by so many people before.

“Ali… Alibaba… Alibaba is a happy youngster…” Fatty hummed. He entered the washroom and cleaned up before heading to the bedroom and laying down on the bed.

Amid his drowsiness, Fatty suddenly made a decision.

“When I go back online tomorrow, I’ll study both tailoring and alchemy! I swear to become the first player in the Chaotic Era to learn every skill!”
