Venomancer Of Gaming - Chapter 14

“Ahh! This makes me so mad!”

July, who had been revived, screamed inside Demon City Isengard. This was still the newbie stage, so one would not suffer any losses if they died. However, she was so furious that she could not stop letting steam out despite the gazes she was attracting.

“That bastard! Does he not know how to be tender with a pretty girl?” She tugged Fated Sky and said, “I refuse to let this go! Let’s go back and take revenge!”

Fated Sky grimaced and replied, “Forget it! We are all currently at the newbie stage and cannot PK. How will you go about achieving that? Furthermore, unless we call for some help, you will not be able to get revenge. That fella is definitely an expert!”

“So what? How could an expert bully us this way?” retorted July.

“It’s understandable!” Fated Sky sighed. “I could handle the boss monster alone, but I would not share it with anyone else either. Didn’t you see that his expression never changed? It was so cold… It is understandable that someone like this would do such a thing…”

July recalled how cold the expression of Fatty’s character had been as though it was something insignificant. He had indeed been very cold and unaffected while harming a pure beauty like her…

July’s anger unknowingly faded away completely, leaving behind an unexplainable nervousness.

Usually, humans would develop a sense of fear for people who were much stronger than them. They would unconsciously not want to become enemies with strong people…

July finally stopped making a scene and went back to completing Quests after being comforted by Fated Sky. The cold impression they had of Fatty’s character, however, remained in the deepest corner of their minds…

They did not know that the cold expert in question was cackling maniacally at that moment!

There was no way Fatty could not be ecstatic. This was the very first time he had ever successfully killed a 5-Star monster. In the past, he had either been unlucky or someone had always stolen it from him. Now, he had solo-killed it, which was an impressive achievement!

This was only a 5-Star monster at the novice stage, but Fatty had never been very ambitious in the first place. Such an achievement could make him feel proud for a very long time.

As expected of a 5-Star monster, killing it gave Fatty ample EXP, increasing his EXP bar to Level 4 84%. This amount of EXP was equivalent to killing 20 Common Goblins.

The loot was great as well. By opening the corpse, Fatty obtained two Skill Books and two Weapon Crafting Blueprints.

The two Skill Books were the Death Knight’s Rune Crafting and the Venomancer’s Poison Crafting!

These two Skills were must-haves for Death Knights and Venomancers. Most of the attack skills of Death Knights relied heavily on runes, making rune crafting essential. Such Skill Books were much more expensive than other Skill Books.

The Venomancer’s Poison Crafting was a Skill useful in earning money. Venomancers usually used long-range attacks and rarely executed melee attacks. Therefore, the poisons created by them were useless. However, for the Thief Class, these poisons were necessary!

The Thief was a high-attack Class with great crowd control abilities. Hence, in the Chaotic Era, many people chose the Thief as their Class. Very few people chose to become Venomancers, however, and an even smaller number knew how to craft poisons. Fatty could still remember the prices of poison slowly dropping only after more people started playing as Venomancers…

Despite not obtaining the Skill Book for Corrosion, Fatty was okay. After all, it was of little use to him. At most, it would help him level up faster, thus allowing him to possess more support skills in a team. However, poison crafting would become the source of his income.

The two Skill Books could be studied after hitting Level 10, which naturally increased their value. Hence, Fatty happily put the two books inside his backpack and picked up the two Weapon Crafting Blueprints.

In this game, with the exception of a few selected monsters, one could not obtain any finished weapons or armor from monsters. All equipment was obtained by crafting, a life skill players could learn after reaching Level 10 and heading to the capital. One had to learn how to blacksmith before being able to forge weapons, and one had to learn how to sew before being able to forge armor.

In theory, the highest rank of equipment players could craft was the Legendary Rank. Players could not craft Demon Armaments, which were obtainable only by killing world boss monsters.

It was not easy to make Legendary Rank equipment. The most common ranks were the Refined and Superior Ranks. Legendary Rank equipment was the best equipment ordinary players could ever dream of obtaining.

The two Weapon Crafting Blueprints Fatty had obtained were Level 10 ones. One of them was a blueprint to make a Mace used by the Prophets and the other a blueprint to make a Dagger used by the Thieves.

Both were not weapons Fatty could use. Since only the Apostle Race was born in Demon City Isengard, no one could choose to play as a Prophet or a Thief. Therefore, Fatty could only keep them and wait until he arrived at the capital. He could then sell them or trade them for a Staff blueprint so that he could make one for himself.

The game had only started less than two hours ago, but Fatty’s loot was already bountiful. The combined price of the four items would amount to around 10 Silver Coins, which was considered a small fortune. This situation was completely different from when he’d had to beg players because he had entered the game later.

After handing in the Quest, Fatty reached Level 5.

This speed of leveling up was quite impressive. If Fatty completed the main Quests, he would quickly be able to reach Level 10 and enter the capital.

However, Fatty was a little hungry after playing for so long. Thus, he returned to Demon City Isengard before finding food to eat.

Since he was leaving, Fatty’s character was doing nothing but standing dumbly in the city. After giving some it thought, he ran to the player market and set up a store. Then, he put the Rune Crafting Skill Book and the two blueprints he had obtained up for sale.

He set the purchase price for the Skill Book at 20 Silver Coins and priced each blueprint at 10 Silver Coins.

This was a very high price. Fatty felt that no one would possess enough money to purchase them. This price was, in a way, meant to show off his loot.

The set-up of the stall was very simple. The player just had to sit down and lay a piece of black cloth on the floor before them. The items for sale would be placed on top. Other players could pick them up to check their Stats, and of course, in this game, stealing was not possible. The equipment could be taken away only after the player paid for it.

After he confirmed the stall’s name, a signboard appeared beside Fatty’s character: ‘Can’t Afford to Be Hurt Even With Money!’

After doing all this, Fatty nodded in satisfaction before slowly standing up and leaving the controller. He headed to the kitchen to find food…

This short trip took about half an hour. He returned to the controller and sat down only after he’d had his fill.

Then, Fatty was dumbfounded. The Skill Book and the two blueprints had all disappeared and there were 40 extra Silver Coins in his backpack!
