“Do you feel that I have ignored you because I spend too much time in the team?” Gu Chen could only think of this one reason. “That is easy, I can come home once a month, or you can come with me to the team and live in the Guardian Yard.”

“No, no, no!” Jian Sangyu shook her head. Her small face had turned completely white.

Honestly, when she had to receive him every third or fifth month at home, she was suffering from every single second and every single minute. If he came home every month or she went to live with him in the team, she would not be able to survive!

“Let’s just talk about our life… life!” Jian Sangyu switched the topic instantly.

Gu Chen was silent with a depressed face. After a few seconds of quietness, he started the engine again.

Half an hour later, Gu Chen pulled the car over in front of a restaurant, glanced at her and indicated that she was allowed to get out of the car now.

But when Jian Sangyu was about to climb out of the car after opening the door, Gu Chen called out to her again. “Hang on.”

The next second, Gu Chen’s overcoat was upon her head, followed by his words.

“Put this on first before getting out of the car.”

That the overcoat was on her head indicated that Gu Chen must have tossed the coat through the air to her.

Jian Sangyu thought of the back side of the dress, swore at him for being old-fashioned, pulled down the coat from her head and put it on.

The overcoat was Gu Chen’s suit, which was quite baggy upon Jian Sangyu. It could fit two of her at the same time. The coat smelt of cigarettes and she was not sure whether that was from his own doing or someone else’s.

Jian Sangyu felt that she must have missed one reason when telling Gu Chen why she wanted a divorce. This guy simply had no idea what being gentle meant!

Couldn’t he have just put the overcoat over her when he asked her to put it on, or at least he could have just stretched out his hands to pass it to her instead?

What did he mean by tossing it through the air?

Judging from his behaviour, it was indeed a good idea that his grandfather made the engagement for him when they were still little. Jian Sangyu believed that his personality would prevent him from finding any girlfriends that would adore him.

Honestly, loving him required a great deal of boldness. He had three things that he was terrible at; he was bad in bed, in temper, and in personality.

Gu Chen was already waiting for her outside the car. Not daring to make him wait for too long, Jian Sangyu put on the overcoat, climbed out of the car and followed Gu Chen into the restaurant.

This was not a random small restaurant on the street. It was a privately-owned restaurant that required reservation. Yet everyone from the Gu Family were the exceptions.

Gu Chen had not said a single thing after he entered the restaurant. After the waiter came with the menu and left, he poured a cup of tea for Jian Sangyu.

The tea at the restaurant was jasmine tea, one that was brought here by the owner from the place of its origins. As the tea poured into the cup, the scent of the tea would make everyone fascinated. A small sip would leave fragrance upon the lips and teeth.

Gu Chen liked tea, so Jian Sangyu could sense clearly that Gu Chen’s mood turned better because of one cup of tea as she sat opposite him.

Alarm off.

Jian Sangyu let out a sigh of relief and took some sips from the cup too. She was not so especially interested in tea, but she liked tea-leaves eggs. All kinds of tea were just ingredients for Jian Sangyu to boil tea-leaves eggs.

“Jian Sangyu.”

Gu Chen called out to her and said, “Although I am not sure why you want a divorce, yet you must understand that marriage is not a game, so I do not agree with the proposal. Now, let’s talk about you.”
