Gu Xiang went directly to the balcony. The sun shone on her and the wind blew at the ends of her hair. She found it interesting that the act of blocking Meng Yan could offend her mother to the point of her making a phone call about it.
Gu Xiang replied, “Yeah! What’s up?
“She said a few words to you and you blocked her. Don’t you think you have gone overboard?” her Mom said. “You just married into the Jiang family and you don’t acknowledge us anymore, huh?”
“Mom.” Gu Xiang scoffed. “Although you are my mother, I have to remind you that I have married into the Jiang family purely to help all of you. If you think that I am unwilling, I can file a divorce immediately. Then you cannot blame me as to how the Meng family turns out.”
“Y-You…” when her mother heard how obnoxious she sounded, she was enraged.
Gu Xiang did not care about her. She had already given up her happiness by getting married. Why should she endure a lecture?
“I’m busy. Got to go,” said Gu Xiang.
She hung up and looked at the phone. Then she walked out speechlessly, ready to go out.
The helper saw that she was leaving and said, “Madam, would you like breakfast before you go?”
“Nope. No appetite.” Gu Xiang was not in the mood for that at all.
She was not in a good mood and she needed some time alone.
She had just reached the door when she heard Jiang Chi’s voice. “Come back!”
His tone was very stern. Gu Xiang turned around and looked at him. Jiang Chi was sitting by the dining table with a napkin in hand. He was wiping his good looking hands. His fingers were long and slender…
Gu Xiang could imagine how his meticulous hands held the scalpels. At the moment, he looked solemn and his expression was very cold.
Gu Xiang said, “Mr. Jiang, what’s the problem?”
“The helper has already made breakfast, why won’t you eat before going?”
“I said that I have something on and I am not in the mood to eat.”
Jiang Chi replied, “I dare you to leave without eating.”

After Jiang Chi wiped his fingers, he put the napkin down.
He said to Gu Xiang. “What a coincidence. There is no person in this world that I cannot control. If you dare leave now, you can forget about coming back again in the future!”
The helper stood to the side and watched Jiang Chi and Gu Xiang. She felt like a storm was brewing but she did not dare to speak up. She headed into the kitchen to hide.
Gu Xiang said, “So be it! Who cares.”
She did not rush out. Instead, she went to her room to pack up. Stinky man! Rascal! He knew that she was in a bad mood and yet he bullied her! She had just moved in and he was already treating her like this. What about in the future? She could not handle this discomfort!
She threw all her clothes back into the suitcase. The underwear she had hung up on the balcony was still left to be packed. She took them all and was about to put them in the suitcase when Jiang Chi entered.
He stood at the entrance. He was almost as tall as the door. Seeing Gu Xiang enter from the balcony with her underwear in hand, he asked, “What are you doing?”
