The Vampire’s Love for Mankind - Chapter 6

Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios

I pushed open the door in front of me and entered the fourth stage.

It was a dimly lit room. Candles were lit on the floor, and thick curtains covered the windows tightly. There was no decoration in the large room, except for a huge oil painting hanging in the middle of the wall at the end of the room.

The oil painting depicted the White-Winged Angel that the priest had sung in his poems. The entire painting emitted a faint white splendor.

This surprised me. Why would an angel oil painting be placed in the undead room used to punish humans?

Curious, I walked step by step towards the painting. The angel’s ethereal and holy face fascinated me. I didn’t even realize that those eyes, which were more beautiful than sapphires, were slowly turning blood red.

A sudden chill hit my brain, and I woke up in an instant. I realized that I wasn’t in the room I was in earlier. I was in a ward.

A thin woman was lying on the hospital bed, coughing intermittently. Her pale lips suddenly coughed out blood.

“Cecily…”

The distant call that seemed to come from hell evoked memories that I thought I had long forgotten.

The person on the hospital bed was my mother! The sorrow of losing my family crept into my heart, and tears welled up in my eyes.

I hurriedly ran towards the bed. At that moment, the surroundings suddenly changed and I fell onto a patch of grass.

A thick fog shrouded the silent cemetery. My heart skipped a beat. This was the cemetery where my grandfather was buried!

Even if I had to do it all over again, I could still feel my rejection and fear of this place. I almost suffocated as I held my head in my hands and squatted down. My grandfather’s favorite song came to my ears.

However, my mind was still involuntarily overlapping the scene of my mother and grandfather dying. Despair and confusion were like a finely woven net that bound me tightly.

I am so lost in grief that I don’t realize that my panicked and helpless side has fallen into someone else’s eyes.

Those red eyes that had lured countless souls into depravity were filled with mockery. The owner of those eyes was Ansir.

Ansir’s lips curled up into a cold smile, and his scorching gaze was like that of a ferocious beast preparing to hunt. He waved his right hand toward his face, and his face transformed into a sinister and terrifying evil spirit. He walked towards his target—me.

And I had no idea.

A cold aura spread out in all directions, and the scene began to sway. Suddenly the image of the White Feather Angel I had seen in the painting flashed through my mind.

My body shook like I’d been struck by lightning. Only at that moment, I was completely awake.

It turned out that there was a trap hidden in this painting that could hypnotize people, evoking the most fearful and unwilling memories.

Just as I thought I could successfully clear the level, a terrifying evil spirit suddenly appeared in front of me!

Unlike the makeup NPCs that could be seen through at a glance, the evil spirit in front of him was so real in terms of killing intent and strength. It was so real that even facing him required firm willpower.

Did I encounter a real evil spirit?

However, my body’s reaction was faster than my thoughts. My hand subconsciously picked up the candlestick beside me and charged at the “evil spirit” with all my might.

“Stop!”

A furious roar resounded throughout the entire room.

However, in order to save my life, I still attacked with all my might. “You evil spirit, get lost!”

“Damn it! Open your blind eyes and look at who I am! How dare you hit me harder and harder!” The violent and angry curses brought back my rationality.

A pair of hands clamped down on me. The evil spirit’s face faded, revealing its blood-red eyes that were filled with killing intent.

It was actually Ansir!

That’s why I was chasing Ansir while holding the candlestick… and this was a live broadcast of the entire school!

As a vampire, this was probably the first time he had been trampled by humans.

The students of Rockefeller were all attracted by this scene of the live broadcast. The next second, the entire school was in an uproar. Although no one dared to mock Ansir, the president of the noble vampire student union was actually beaten up by a human girl.

This plot was too exciting!

Elvin, who was still watching the livestream, was watching it with the same relish. He swirled his glass of red wine and watched Ansir’s tall body being pressed down and chased. He looked like a dog that had fallen into water and was running around with his head in his hands. It was pitiful, but also very interesting.

Elvin took a sip of his red wine, a playful smile on his lips as he saved the memory of Ansir’s thrashing.

He even stopped the live broadcast just as Ansir was about to counterattack. He kept replaying the scenes of him being beaten up, enjoying it repeatedly.

To be honest, I wanted to apologize to Ansir when his true face appeared.

However, in his fury, Ansir didn’t give me a chance. He looked at me coldly and slowly raised his lowered eyelashes. “You lowly human, how dare you hit me…”

“…” I racked my brain for a way to escape from this powerful demon, but I had no chance of winning.

Ansir’s cold eyes were filled with gloom and fury. He raised his foot and walked towards me. Suddenly, an invisible pressure hit me. The chandelier above my head exploded, and all the surveillance cameras exploded!

Ansir’s power was overwhelming. I was pressed against the wall and couldn’t move. Those blood-red eyes were filled with killing intent as they stared at me!
