The Vampire’s Love for Mankind - Chapter 37

My gaze turned cold. Just as I was about to retort, the curly-haired girl spoke first, her tone full of contempt. “So what?” She sneered and sized me up from head to toe. Her gaze was impudent, and there was no fear in her eyes. “At the end of the day, she’s just a whimsical toy of His Highness Ansir. She’s no different from those in cages. When she’s tired of being played with, she’ll be a worthless piece of trash. At that time, His Highness Ansir will just throw her away like an abandoned item!”

Hearing the mocking laughter of the two, I took a deep breath, my gaze turning cold. Turning to the waiter beside me, I said coldly, “I don’t need to continue the tour. Bring me to Ansir, now!”

Ansir had thrown me into an even more embarrassing situation time and time again just to see me bow down to him, right?

He wanted to show me the real toys, so he brought me here to show how the humans, who had abandoned their dignity, were played by the vampires?

The punishment he had given me was nothing compared to what the human girls had gone through. In fact, it could be said that he had already shown me mercy?

“Do I need to be grateful to him?”

.

“Don’t even think about it!”

Seeing that I was angry, the waiter didn’t dare to delay and immediately led me to the VIP section.

Finally, we stopped in front of a high-class private room. The waiter knocked on the door. After pushing the door open, he gestured for me to enter.

I walked into the booth and saw Ansir leaning against the sofa alone, his long legs crossed, a glass of red wine in his hand.

When he saw me come in, his expression was flat and his eyes met mine indifferently, as if everything that had happened had nothing to do with him. The sight of it made the anger in my heart rise even higher.

I walked right up to him, my gaze sharp and unflinching. “President Ansir, is this another trick to humiliate me?”

Hearing this, Ansir paused and frowned.

The anger in my heart was already burning, so I couldn’t help but say the words that I had been hiding in my heart. “You brought me out of my home, so I believed that you were being kind. But what happened after that? You just pushed me into an even worse abyss than my home! You made me feel that I was very lowly, dirty, and pitiful.”

Most of the time, my troubles did come from Ansir.

He forced his way into my life and changed my fate, creating a series of events and causing countless problems in my life. I fought against it, but there was nothing I could do.

Suddenly, I hated this feeling of powerlessness. After a moment of silence, I glanced coldly at Ansir and said coldly, “Ansir, you may think that you’ve been helping me, but you never seem to have thought that my difficulties were all caused by you.”

Ansir didn’t say anything. His gaze turned dark and gloomy. The hand holding the wine glass seemed to be secretly exerting force, and his knuckles had turned white.

He seemed to object to my words, but at this point, I had no strength to guess what he was thinking. I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself down. I was about to lose control of my anger. “Please, I beg of you. I hope that we can draw a clear line between us and never see each other again.”

Ansir looked at me. When I said the last sentence, something called guilt flashed in his eyes.

But soon I dismissed the thought.

Ansir had always been arrogant. How could he have such feelings for me, a human being? I must had been mistaken. In his dictionary, there was probably no such thing as guilt.

There was a hint of heaviness in the silence that hung in the air, an atmosphere that made me feel uncomfortable. At this point, I didn’t really care what Ansir thought anymore. All I knew was that my heart wanted so badly to get out of this place that I felt like I was suffocating.

After saying that, I pulled the door handle and walked out of the private room. Then, I ran out of the clubhouse. I didn’t tell Ansir where I was going, and no one stopped me.

Sadly, just as I was about to call a cab and spend the night at the hotel, I realized that I had forgotten to bring my phone and my wallet.

The location was hidden, not much better than Ansir’s villa. There was no way to get a taxi.

It was a quiet night, and a cool breeze blew by. I rubbed the chill from my arms and couldn’t help but feel desolate.

I was penniless and have nowhere to go. At the thought of this, bitterness rose in my heart.

At that moment, a black car stopped in front of me. The driver’s door opened and a man got out.

I recognized him. This man was Ansir’s chauffeur. The chauffeur walked up to me and opened the door to the back seat. He said respectfully, “Miss Cecily, please get in.”

I frowned, puzzled. “Where are you taking me?”

The driver answered, “I came to pick you up on Young Master Ansir’s orders. He has something to say to you. As for what he wants to say, you’ll know once you get in the car.”

Seeing that I was still hesitating, the driver smiled. “Don’t worry, Miss Cecily. Young Master won’t eat you. But it’s not easy to get a taxi here. Are you sure you want to stay here alone?”

I glanced at the hellish clubhouse behind me and got into the car.
