The Vampire’s Love for Mankind - Chapter 23

At this point in the diary, I was distracted by the memory of two kisses, and my pen stopped unconsciously.

I subconsciously touched my lips. There seemed to be a faint tingling sensation on my lips. The warmth from my lips reached my fingertips, and an unnatural ripple appeared in my heart.

Ansir was like a blooming poppy, mixed with the fragrance of desire. No one could resist his temptation.

I was afraid that if I continued to be entangled with him like this, even if I knew in my heart that this was all a game of the devil, I would not hesitate to sink into it.

In order not to fall into a dilemma, I would try to avoid everything related to Ansir while completing my studies in Rockefeller.

At this thought, my eyes focused and my left hand clenched into a fist as I made a decision.

The morning sun shone through the thin clouds and into my room through the window..

I glanced sideways at the alarm clock on my desk. My biological clock was as punctual as ever. If I got out of bed and washed up to go to class now, I would be just in time.

I packed my things and prepared to leave. Just as I reached out to open the door, my eyes caught sight of a note stuffed under the door.

I frowned and bent down to pick up the note. I opened it and saw messy red handwriting.

The note read:

“Cecily, please don’t come to school today. If you insist on coming, please be safe.”

There was no signature on the note, and the handwriting was hurried. It was a short line of words, and the content was completely illogical. I read it a few times, but I still couldn’t figure out what it meant.

But I was pretty sure something bad was waiting for me.

It’s just that I’ve “caused” trouble several times since school started. I believed the teachers already had a prejudice against me. I couldn’t take leave and skip classes anymore.

With this in mind, I put away the letter and walked to the classroom.

I mentally prepared myself for the big trouble that was waiting for me. However, to my surprise, I had a peaceful day.

No one in the class teased me anymore, not even verbally. They all kept a certain distance from me.

All of this seemed to be too calm, so calm that it was slightly unusual.

However, I had a feeling that wherever I went, there would be gazes on me, followed by whispers that I couldn’t hear clearly. But when I turned around to look, they all scattered to avoid me. Even my deskmate, Qi Na, looked like she wanted to say something but stopped herself.

I wrote a note to Qi Na in a puzzled mood. Soon, she replied to me. After hastily reading the contents of the note, my eyebrows furrowed. Every word on the letter was like a sharp needle that pierced me.

Qi Na told me that the entire Rockefeller community was now talking about me being a slut.

According to the rumors, it was Sandena who invited me to the ball party out of goodwill and apologized to Ansir for wronging me and asking me to go to the Undead Room. However, I shamelessly seduced Ansir at the ball. I even ignored Sandena’s warning and used underhanded means to kiss Ansir. She even said that I had planned for a long time to climb into Ansir’s bed.

Qi Na tried her best to use euphemistic words to describe the entire rumor. The contents of the school was probably even more filthy than what was written on the paper.

When Qi Na saw my gloomy expression, she didn’t dare to say anything else. She was afraid that she would agitate me further, so she gently patted my shoulder.

I wanted to smile at her, but after trying, I couldn’t.

The contents of the note made my face burn with embarrassment, and I finally understood the way people were looking at me carefully.

They wouldn’t dare to bully me anymore after I got involved with Ansir. However, they would definitely hate me even more after I did such a shameless thing. They would probably have called me a slut behind my back.

I exhaled slowly, my fists clenching unconsciously.

Once this sort of thing spread, it would be too difficult for me to clarify. I had to think of a way.

However, it just so happened that today was the holiday that happened once a week for students to return home. I decided to leave this place and return home for two days.

I persevered until school ended. I packed up my things and said bye to Qi Na, then took the school bus and left.

The bus could only reach the school gate, so I had to think of a way to get home.

This was because the students here were all from military families, and their families were all rather wealthy. Basically, they either drove by themselves or someone came to pick them up.

However, it was obvious that my father, who had probably long forgotten about me, had no idea that today was the day I returned home, so no one came to pick me up.

So I became one of the few students at school to walk home.

Moreover, the journey from Rockefeller to Noble’s villa was very long. After walking for a short while, the sky was already dark.

The street lamps lit up one by one, and there wasn’t a single person in sight. I felt a faint sense of unease.

Just then, a black car suddenly sped toward me and stopped in front of me.

The door opened and two tall men got out of the car.

I immediately reacted and turned to run. However, they blocked my way and grabbed my wrist, dragging me into the car!
