The Richest Girl Just Started Kindergarten - Chapter 28

Lu Lu is Running Away From the Disney Princess (2)

“Before, I would always hear her crying and the woman shouting and yelling at her.”

“It has been quiet for the past few days, did something happen to her?”

Because Lu Lu lost her mother at the age of one, everyone felt bad for her. However, she was also extremely cute and polite, with an aura that made everyone like her, which is why everyone in this neighborhood loved Lu Lu.

However, ever since Lu Lu’s father found a stepmother for her, Lu Lu was often bullied by her and her daughter.

When Lu Lu’s dad was still alive, her stepmother was still civil to her, but the moment he passed, the woman changed her attitude as quickly as flipping a page in a book. Despite people complaining about Lu Lu’s situation many times, nothing ever changed because her stepmother would always put on an act.

The neighbors knew that there was no way to change anything for Lu Lu. The poor girl had a tough life without any other relatives other than her parents, and now she could only rely on her step mom.

These same neighbors only spoke up when they really couldn’t look past something.

When they heard Aunty Zhang mentioning that she hadn’t heard Lu Lu in a couple of days they questioned, “Do you think Zou Lixiang got rid of her?”

“What a mess, she must’ve. She’s still only in her early thirties and will probably remarry, how could she let a non-blood related little girl drag her down?”

“Tell me, how can there be such a ruthless woman in this world?”

“Hey, I pity the child, what evil crimes has she committed previously to end up like this?”

“Everything is to blame on the woman, as a mother, how can she be so toxic? Does she not believe in karma?”

“Where was Lu Lu sent to? Was it an orphanage? If so, I have a relative that has good family conditions, they are nice people, too. They just never had a kid, how about I ask them to see if they would like to take in Lu Lu?”

“All right, all right, you need to call them and ask.”

“Yes, it’s better for Lu Lu to be with a family that actually cares about her.”

The neighbors all gathered around to gossip about Lu Lu and didn’t realize the person in question was silently standing next to them. Aunt Zhang was the first to realize.

Although everyone already openly disliked Zou Lixiang, getting caught talking behind someone’s back would still lead to some embarrassment.

Turning their tone a little lighter they asked, “Zou Lixiang, we haven’t seen Lu Lu in a couple of days, where is she?”

Zou Lixiang’s face had turned red with anger after hearing what they said about her, but she knew that losing her temper now in front of a crowd wouldn’t be effective.

Thus, she could only bite the bullet and control her feelings. With a soft voice, she explained, “Everyone, you misunderstood me, Lu Lu is still well.”

“How could she be fine with someone as toxic as you taking care of her?” someone retorted.

The neighbor’s tone was not kind at all. Enduring all her anger, she stated, “There was a casting group that came to our kindergarten. The director instantly wanted Lu Lu to play a role, so she’s going to act on a set! Maybe she’ll even become a child celebrity.”

“Really? Lu Lu is only three, can she really be in a film?”

“Yes, you know Song Heran, the person who sang《Me and my Motherland 》at the Spring Festival Gala this year? Lu Lu will be playing his sister.”

Although Song Heran was still a relatively young actor, he worked with many more experienced actors, plus he had already performed three times at the Spring Festival Gala, so he was well known by a lot of people.

Yet even after they heard Zou Lixiang’s words, they were still doubtful about the situation.

Zou Lixiang couldn’t waste time talking to these people, she still needed to go back and cook dinner, and as she turned away, everyone watched her, still doubtful of Lu Lu’s situation. She couldn’t have been sold to some random casting crew, right?

As Zou Lixiang walked away, she thought that she ought to let Lu Lu make her first paycheck, so she could buy a new house and move out of this stupid neighborhood.

Qiao Yi thought that getting Lu Lu transferred was going to be a complicated process because neither she nor Song Heran were Lu Lu’s guardians. What she did not expect was that Zou Lixiang had already taken Lu Lu out of her original kindergarten, which saved her some trouble.

The new kindergarten needed Lu Lu’s identity and her personal information to apply, but the principal had a good relationship with Qiao Yi and had previously worked with Song Heran. He agreed to let Lu Lu start going to school, as long as they filled in the details later.

So within two days, Lu Lu was able to now go to her new kindergarten.

On the first day of school, she wore her favorite skirt and a Disney princess backpack.  She thought the new kindergarten looked like a castle and she got very excited.

“Aunty, does this mean I’m now a Disney princess?” she asked Aunty Qiao as she looked up at her.

Letting out a small laugh, Qiao Yi adjusted her skirt and replied, “Unfortunately this isn’t Disneyland where princesses are all at castles.”

Lu Lu got a little upset. She thought she was going to be a little princess.

Qiao Yi saw how upset Lu Lu got after she knew she wasn’t going to become a princess, so she bent down to comfort her when she heard a boy’s voice.

“This may not be Disney, but Lu Lu is Disney’s run-away princess.”

Looking towards the direction of the voice, her eyes instantly lit up after seeing a familiar face. “Brother En Yu!”

Gu Enyu didn’t expect to see Lu Lu in front of his kindergarten. Words couldn’t describe how happy he was, so he went over and took her little hand, ready to go into the kindergarten with her.

Pondering the words of Gu Enyu, she realized that didn’t know what a run-away princess was. “What’s a run-away princess?”

“A run-away princess is a princess not living at DisneyLand, so Lu Lu is still a princess.”
