The Princess’s Doll Shop - Chapter 35

Even if the main character had a rough past life, the main character would someday receive redemption and love…

On the other hand, there was one character she didn’t envy.

「The Tale of Spírĭtus」

The fantasy novel stocked the entire row of a library bookcase.

It was a lengthy novel and the main character changed a lot; in the latter part, the youngest Imperial Prince had to deal with many hardships.

For someone who always envied the main character, she loathed that story.

She couldn’t imagine how many attempts he made to rise as a hero. She also couldn’t find any part of the youngest Imperial Prince’s story that was remotely normal, except for the ending.

The Imperial Empress, his mother, fell into a coma after giving birth to him, and then the First and Second Consorts had raced to take advantage of the situation, dropping him to the bottom of the hierarchy. Count Armang, who was on his mother’s side, was quite incompetent, to the point he was almost of no help.

Rumor has it that he was born with color blindness.

One could argue being color blind wasn’t a disability, but in any case, anything could be considered a huge flaw in that world.

Perhaps they were strict on the qualifications for becoming a candidate to the heir of a grand empire.

Ultimately, the youngest Imperial Prince tumbled down the ladder, turning into an insignificant member of the imperial family, ignoring the fact that he was born from the true empress.

But if needed to be, he could change the world and even defeat the devil— he’s that kind of protagonist.

Although his surroundings were deteriorating, compared to anyone else, the youngest prince was strong and smart.

Whether it was swordsmanship or academics, he was taught one and mastered one hundred. No exaggeration, he was a genius who could surpass the empire and rattle the entire continent.

Not born with a lot of magical power, he didn’t show much talent but he was up to par compared to any average magician.

Even though his cold personality and objectiveness often felt cruel, but as for becoming an emperor, he was by no means inferior.

Without a doubt, he will be THE one to become emperor.

While being trapped in a small cage, the youngest Prince was methodically preparing to spread his wings. It was closer to survival instinct, not out of ambition.

No matter who became emperor among the brothers, there was no chance they’d leave the one born from the true empress alive.

Whether to call it fortune or even inevitability, it didn’t seem that hard to retaliate thanks to his dumb-enough brothers.

As he revealed his intentions, like butterflies gathered onto a flower, there were more and more subordinated flocking to the youngest Prince because of his potential.

The only thing against him was time. About the time he becomes of age and the time the old emperor dies off.

Awaiting this time, the youngest prince naturally learned how to smile.

Looking pretty, he silently smiled. He even molded his voice to be tender. He hid away his murderous spirit.

So the maids blushed and treated him well, whilst the imperial and aristocratic families just considered him a small kid, not even worthy of paying attention to. How convenient.

The storyline of ‘having to survive like this until he became of age to become emperor’ was not usually given to the main character, as they constantly faced adversity and hardships.

In the future, a monumental incident took place, stirring up the youngest prince’s plans.

So the time is…

Soon.

“Princess, your Highness. Are you alright?”

Madam Murphy’s concerned voice brought back Kathia who was deep in thought. Kathia slowly nodded.

As she recalled of every detail in 「The Tale of Spírĭtus」, she looked rather calm.

Although she was startled, what good was it to realize she was in the world of a novel, or that she was in hell’s fiery pit?

It’s just that… She wanted to bite her tongue. Because it’s empty and hopeless.

She suddenly went crazy wanting to see Hannah.

“Be prepared. I want to go to the trial.”

As she spoke to Madam Murphy, Kathia dropped the doll as if she was throwing it away. From now on, she needed nothing but Hannah.
