The moment the young man looked up to glance at the cute girl, the cold expression on his face was gone instantly. There was a hint of tenderness in his eyes instead.

His hair was tied up in a ponytail, and he wore a straight, black kylin robe. There was a jade belt around his waist. He wore a handguard which made him look rugged.

In addition, he appeared aloof with an indifferent attitude.

Everyone liked his good looks but abhorred the coldness he displayed which made them fearful of approaching him.

“Master.” The young man came to Luo Xiaoman and nodded, his face full of reverence.

“Yuan, are you all done?” Luo Xiaoman sat up and rested her chin on her hands as she looked at the young man playfully.

“Yeah.” Mo Yuan nodded. “I’ve compensated a total of four stalls and two passers-by who were injured by mistake.”

“I can rest assured knowing that you’re the one handling this matter.” Luo Xiaoman smiled, revealing two cute dimples. “Now, the people of the Wan family are almost here…”

As soon as she said this, a sharp, cold light flew over.

Mo Yuan’s eyes flickered. Holding the handle of the sword, he swivelled around. Suddenly, a cold light flashed by. With a whoosh, he split the flying cold light in half.

“The Luo family, let my son go right away.”

“Father!”

Wan Lin’s eyes lit up when he saw Wan Wu and members of the Wan family rushing over aggressively. He had a surprise look on his face.

“Yuan.”

Just as Mo Yuan was about to attack them, Luo Xiaoman stopped him.

“It’s not time for you to take action yet.” Luo Xiaoman played with a primitive pendant on her chest and looked at Wan Wu mockingly. “You only need to prevent the other side from shooting arrows.”

Mo Yuan glanced at Luo Xiaoman, and saw her pair of eyes twinkling with confidence. He then silently stepped aside.

He believed her just like when they first met each other.

Wan Wu who was standing fifty meters away from Luo Xiaoman said in a deep voice, “Did you not hear me? Let my son go immediately!”

“I can let him go, but I want you to give me something in return.” Luo Xiaoman jumped off the snow-white dog and took out a dagger as she walked toward Wan Lin.

“Stop messing around!” Wan Wu’s eyes widened and, in a panic, said, “If you dare to hurt Lin, I’ll kill you.”

“Woof!” The snow-white dog barked. Meanwhile, Mo Yuan, who was standing next to Snowy, had a shocking, cold look in his eyes.

“Calm down.” Luo Xiaoman curled the corners of her lips and signaled Snowy and Mo Yuan to back off.

Wan Wu groaned. Known as the infamous daredevil, Luo Xiaoman might do something crazy.

“Tell me, what do you want?”

“The Qinglin Dew!”

“You must be dreaming!”

Without giving it a second thought, Wan Wu refused and stared at Luo Xiaoman angrily.

What is the Qinglin Dew?

It was the Wan family’s treasure, a vital item for Wan Lin to prepare for the attack on the core formation realm.

“Dreaming?” Luo Xiaoman played with the dagger in her hand, and her eyes were shining with a sly, divine light. She was about to stab him.

“Father, save me!!!” Wan Lin was terribly frightened. He cried aloud.

“Xiaoman, what are you doing?”

Just then, a dignified voice sounded.

Everyone turned their heads to see a middle-aged man walking over.

“Master Luo has arrived.”

Upon seeing this man, everyone felt that Luo Xiaoman could no longer harm Wan Lin. Thus, Wan Wu heaved a sigh of relief.

She might be unreasonable, but her father should, at least, be easy to deal with.

“Master Luo, you’ve got to give us an explanation.” Wan Lin stared at Luo Mushan with a gloomy expression. “How can you allow your daughter to tie my son and humiliate him in public?”
