The Male Lead’s Boyfriend is Obsessed With Me - Chapter 2

I couldn’t believe it.

Honestly, I was used to a heroine or a villain being possessed, so if I were to be in that situation, I could easily change the genre.

But this was BL.

Two handsome men fall in love, so what the hell is my role here…!

“This isn’t real…”

This wasn’t even a fresh school campus story, but a noir where bloody gunfights happen in every episode.

I couldn’t even believe that a gun was being pointed at my heart. Now that I’m thinking about it again, I closed my eyes shut at the dizzying memory.

Now you’re being timid?’

I couldn’t even move a finger since it was my first time feeling such murderous intent.

It wasn’t that his actions didn’t make sense given the novel’s setting. The original Cha Yeonbyeol was so crazy about Baek Hawon that she even liked his uninterested behavior.

To Baek Hawon, Cha Yeonbyeol was just a nuisance of a woman who was brought to replace his mother after her death but was foolish and greedy for his love.

‘Boss, there was a commotion. I think she misunderstood because she’s not in her right mind right now. She must have been lucky to find this room.’

If Jiun hadn’t stopped me, who was frozen and unable to speak a single word, I might have been shot.

Baek Hawon, the young boss of The Hundred Thousand, was a person who would do that.

Fortunately, Baek Hawon stopped paying attention to me and didn’t ask about the commotion. Cha Yeonbyeol’s intrusion was nothing more than a small incident.

The gun was pulled away along with his gaze, and Jiun dragged me out of the room with his hand. Along the way back, my head was full of so many complicated thoughts that I couldn’t comprehend my surroundings.

“You’re so pretty. You can meet another man.”

No matter how many times I looked in the mirror, it was awkward to see my reflection.

My hair, which reached to my waist and fluttered with every movement I made, shone greedily as if it was draped over with the night sky.

My eyes, which were cat-like, felt like it could make anyone want to gaze back at me, and whenever my thick, red lips moved, it drew a rather entrancing line.

I don’t know why the original owner of this body was so obsessed with him, who didn’t even spare a glance at her, when she could flirt with any other guy if she put her mind to it.

“Haa…”

I felt a tingling sensation when I held onto my throbbing head.

It would be perfectly great if I could just watch the story unfold whilst cheering for the love of the two characters of the novel I liked and fell into.

However, this body was doomed to die soon if the story unfolded like the novel as I knew it.

And it would be during Baek Hawon and Yugeom’s first meeting.

“I can’t die here.”

Clap both cheeks!1 I woke myself up as I slapped myself with my cold hands.

I laid out paper I had found from the corner of the bookshelf and grabbed a pen. A specific plan was needed in order to not die from being dragged along as the novel unfolds.

I call it ‘Everyone’s Happy Ending Project!’

The main characters of the novel, Baek Hawon and Yugeom, could be described as Romeo and Juliet if only one descriptive word each were to be used.

Yugeom was the illegitimate child born from a prostitute and the head of ‘Utopia,’ which can be said to be The Hundred Thousand’s enemy.

Utopia, tired of always being pushed back by The Hundred Thousand, infiltrated their stronghold to get even a single weakness of them, and foolishly abducted Cha Yeonbyeol right from their homebase.

And, fortunate or not, Baek Hawon went directly to Utopia for their blatant insolence.

It was then that the two met for the first time.

‘I didn’t know the head of The Hundred Thousand would come himself.’

Eyes that curved softly.

Ears as white as snow that were full of piercings, which he fiddled with like it was habit.

The moment Baek Hawon saw Yugeom for the first time, he fell instantly in love. Of course, it took him a long time to realize that.

But if I let the situation reach that point, I will die.

In the hands of Yugeom, who was my bias.

Baek Hawon was so distracted by Yugeom that he didn’t care an inch about whether Cha Yeonbyeol died or not, and she was never mentioned again as if she never existed in the first place.

“Never be kidnapped.”

I wrote that under the title.

<Everyone’s Happy Ending Project!>

<Number 1. I won’t get kidnapped>

I pressed down while writing hard enough that it wouldn’t be weird if the paper got torn.

<Everyone’s Happy Ending Project!>

<Number 1. I won’t get kidnapped>

<Number 2. I won’t get kidnapped>

<Number 3. I won’t get kidnapped>

“I am the most precious… my life is just too precious.”

I’m a little relieved now. I know how the novel’s storyline will unfold, but isn’t stopping the kidnapping the only way to not let it become like that?

It takes a while after the two’s first meeting for their relationship to go awry, but their love would have a sad ending no matter what if things go the way they’re supposed to.

In the end, after the scene where Yugeom got shot instead of Baek Hawon, I cried all night long.

I live, my bias lives, and I kill two birds with one stone! A perfect plan!

It took a moment for me to think of where I should put the folded paper with my written-down plan.

“Oh?”

Something hit my foot and made a dull sound. I lowered my head to where I heard the sound and saw a key that had fallen in the corner.

I reached for the key. In that moment, I saw where the key seemed to fit in.

“It’s a drawer key.”

Three drawers from above were unlocked. However, there seemed to be no criteria for its organization.

Red lipstick, black leather gloves, old-fashioned crumpled letter paper, a transparent bottle full of white pills, and dried rose petals.

Is this a trash can? I tilted my head and tugged at the last drawer. There was a rattling sound, but the last drawer didn’t budge.

When I inserted the key into its keyhole, the key turned and the drawer opened. But what was inside was totally unexpected.

“A gun?”

There was a black gun that didn’t go with the room that was like a picture cutout.

The moment I held the gun in my hand, I felt my head going under the illusion of having its dizzying, hot headache cooling down.

***

Bang-!!

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

“Whoa!”

As I put down the gun and wiped my sweat away, I became stirred up. A certain man, who I half-forcefully made bring me here, opened his mouth in surprise.

“I’m screwed. Screwed, just screwed.”

I can’t believe I’m so bad at shooting.

I knew that Cha Yeonbyeol grew up as a precious flower under the protection of The Hundred Thousand.

I never saw Cha Yeonbyeol shoot in the novel, but there was a gun in her room, and she grew up in this kind of place, so I was hoping.

However, it was difficult to even withstand the gun’s recoil, so it was only natural for all of the bullets to hit the outer ring of the target or somewhere unknown after completely missing it.

“Ha…”

I ended up letting out a deep sigh and sat down.

What if, for real, I were to be kidnapped by Utopia like in the novel?

As the novel unfolds, Baek Hawon comes to save Cha Yeonbyeol, but the safety of Cha Yeonbyeol, who was always a nuisance to him, was not one of his best interests.

He didn’t go all out, so she died.

I knew it from the bottom of my heart. The best plan to prepare for the kidnapping now was to have Baek Hawon do everything in his power to save me.

Now you’re being timid?’

But I couldn’t help keep thinking about the cold eyes I saw, so I had no confidence to try that despite knowing that it was the best plan.

I shook my head hard and buried my face in my knees.

The first meeting between Baek Hawon and Yugeom has a common cliché where the first snowfall also takes place.

Looking at the weather, it was clear that there was less than a month left until then.

Plan Number 1. I won’t get kidnapped.

And in order to live, it seemed that I would have to make Plan Number 2 ‘I can’t live if Baek Hawon isn’t interested enough to not let me die,’ but the possibility of doing that within a month was very slim.

“Good morning, Boss!”

“Boss! What are you doing here? Do you want these kids to leave?”

The sounds of gunfire stopped and loud voices of greetings resounded throughout the shooting range. Startled, I raised my head and looked around.

“What. Baek Hawon?”

I murmured quietly, hid behind a pillar, and peered at the side where the sounds came from.

Unlike the warm sunlight that poured in through the glass ceiling, Baek Hawon wore a fittingly ice-like expression.

“Everyone, out for this hour.”

The people in the shooting range went outside at Jiun’s words, and I, who had no intention of setting a new death flag here, intended to follow suit.

But it wasn’t before long when my steps stopped.

Bang-!!!

A straight angle, an unwavering posture. The bullet pierced the target’s center in one shot.

“Uwah…”

I hid behind the pillar again. Yeah, it would be better to learn from observing the strongest guy.

Having sat down comfortably, I stared fierecely at Baek Hawon who aimed his gun at the target. Not a single shot strayed from the target’s center; he wasn’t the boss for nothing.

After a few minutes passed, there was another round of shots, then Baek Hawon lowered his gun and walked away. It looked like he was going to change guns.

But Baek Hawon, who I thought was moving in a different direction, turned to where I was.

I got surprised and hurriedly tried to hide behind the pillar.

Bang-!

The unbelievable situation unfolded infront of me as if in slow motion.

The gun was pointed at me, followed by an explosion-like gunshot that tore through my eardrums.

“Gaack!”

I screamed and ducked down.

Even my hands wrapped around my ears trembled. It was unintentional but instinctive.

As I slowly raised my head after taking a deep breath, a small bullet rolling on the floor came into view.

‘BB gun?’

As soon as I checked it, something hot and bubbly burst out of my mouth in relief.

It didn’t matter if it was a live ammunition of a toy gun.

He looked at me, he shot me.

The fact that ridiculous sentence was reality made my reasoning sway.

“This.”

The voice that fell over my head was dry as if all emotions had been switched off or erased. My fingertips trembled.

“I thought you were a rat.”

Just like stepping on an ant while passing by, there was no emotion.

When I met those eyes, my breath got uneven because of the mess that was my own emotions.

Baek Hawon, who bent down on his knee in front of me who was sitting down and adjusted to my eye level, reached out to me and whispered.

“Why, surprised?”

A large hand covered mines. Baek Hawon’s smirk deepened as he took the gun from my hand, leaving only a chill that flowed through me like water.

“Isn’t this what you’re here for anyway?”

“…”

“Getting my attention even if you must do something crazy. You like that.”

This treatment wasn’t incomprehensible.

As he said, if she could get Baek Hawon’s attention, Cha Yeonbyeol would throw away the least of human ethics and do things beyond common sense.

But I couldn’t control what I was feeling right now.

Did I want this to happen?

Resentment from falling into this damn situation turned into anger in an instant.

Raising my head while biting my lip, I grabbed Baek Hawon’s neck and pulled him towards me, and his body leaned over in this unexpeccted turn of events.

“I’ll say it just this once, so listen up, Boss.”

At a distance that they could feel each other’s breaths.

Everyone would say that the lady of the house had finally turned insane if they were to see this scene, but my mind was clearer than ever.

“My heart is now out of here.”

Baek Hawon’s eyes narrowed when I poked him on the chest. I held back my overwhelming emotions and spitted out every word with as much power as I could muster.

“I’ll be independent within this week, so please prepare a farewell party.”

Maybe this was impulsive.

No. This was certainly impulsive, but it was a decision made in desperation.

“I think this is a good thing for Boss, too, and it has to be gorgeous and luxurious. Possible, right?”

Let’s just do it this once.
