Jon looked up and caught sight of an oversized crab that was three times taller than the other Black Rock Crabs. Its body was covered with black rocks and looked as if it was a heavily armored general. Its pincers were as huge as a small car and the crab quickly swung it towards Jon.
“Leap Wave Attack!”
Jon transformed into a wave and pounced towards the humongous black crab, swinging his sword at it as he passed by the creature.
By the time they were apart from each other, a very shallow bloody scar had appeared on the giant black crab’s chest. It merely seemed like the crab was cut by a blade of grass and was nothing lethal.
Jon stood five to six meters behind the creature and when he looked at the crab, a description popped up on his virtual screen.
“An Elite level 10 Black Rock Crab.”
“So it’s an elite creature just like me!” Jon thought.
In fact, the creature was two levels higher than Jon.
Jon then understood why he felt that the crab was different from the others when he first saw it. It was because of the difference in levels.
“Diancang Fist!”
Jon rushed towards the crab and gathered his elemental power in his right hand before punching at the creature with all his might.
The elite Black Rock Crab, too, raised its pincers in an attempt to launch an attack.

However, the Mystic Water Shield managed to buy a few seconds for Jon, which allowed him sufficient time to recover from the surprise attack.

Jon transformed into a wave and dodged the Black Rock Crab’s attack. As he slid past the creature, he suddenly stopped and transformed back into his actual physical form.

This was the skill that Jon had obtained during his first upgrade. It could instantly double up the power of the Water Demon’s Bloodthirster and it was also the first time that Jon had used this skill since the time he mastered it.

Without taking a break, Jon exhausted his elemental energy to repair his damaged body, which sustained over 50% of injuries. At the same time, he forced himself to stand up before he held onto his sword in his left hand to scare off the other creatures who wanted to take advantage of the situation.

“What a steal!” Jon thought.
He then tapped open his data panel to check.

However, if he could add up both types of advanced fragments, he would have enough to hit the criteria for advancement.
“Could I combine the advanced water-type and advanced earth-type fragments to complete my advancement?” he wondered.
He decided to give it a try.
