Since it wasn’t safe to leave Xu Ling alone at home at nighttime, Yang Guang didn’t object to her decision to come with him. They quickly prepared and left.

Yang Guang sat on his electric bike and waited for Xu Ling to sit behind him before switching the engine on and taking off.

Since it was already dark, Yang Guang turned the headlights on and headed straight toward Donggou Village.

Even though the electric bike had been designed as a two-seater, Xu Ling had installed a storage box on the back and so she had to sit a little more forward than usual.

Because of that, their bodies would touch from time to time.

When Xu Ling noticed that, it was already too late for her to regret her decision to go with Yang Guang. All she could do was rest her hands on the young man’s shoulders to prevent their bodies from touching as much as possible.

However, Xu Ling had underestimated Yang Guang. Understanding what the lady behind him was trying to do, the man would suddenly jam on the brakes or suddenly speed up. With the help of the sudden changes of speed, he was able to enjoy a heavenly feeling on his back.

When he felt two soft things squeezed against his back, he was so excited that he was about to have a nosebleed.

Xu Ling’s face became completely red from her chest constantly touching Yang Guang’s back. She finally couldn’t endure it anymore and moved her hands up to strangle Yang Guang. “You little brat! Can’t you drive properly?”

“It’s not my fault. The road has many holes in it.” Yang Guang lied blatantly.

“Lies!” Xu Ling scolded.

Fortunately for her, Donggou Village wasn’t that far from Qingshan Village. It only took them a few minutes to see the lights as they approached Donggou Village.

The moment they entered the village, they could hear a commotion. Yang Guang could tell something was wrong and sped up.

When they arrived at the Wu family’s house, the lights were on and a lot of villagers had gathered outside to watch what was happening inside.

“I knew it!” Yang Guang clicked his tongue. “Something is wrong.”

He quickly stopped the bike and charged into the Wu family’s home.

The first thing he saw was Yaya, who had just learned how to stand but still didn’t know how to walk, standing and crying.

As for Wu Xiaolian, she was being dragged around by a middle-aged man with a dark skin tone.

Yang Guang roared and leaped forward, launching a kick at the middle-aged man.

The man was immediately sent flying, and, with a loud bang, his body hit the wall of the house.

Xu Ling had also run in and picked up Yaya, while trying to calm the little girl down.

Yang Guang turned to look at his sister-in-law, whose face was already covered in tears, and assured her, “Xiaolian, don’t worry. I’m here.”

“Guang! L…lai Laosi is trying to force me to go back with him!” Wu Xiaolian sobbed. With Yang Guang around, Wu Xiaolian finally felt safe.

“What? Didn’t he get his money back? He has no right to do this.” Yang Guang roared and turned to Sun Guihua and Wu Daming. “What’s going on here? Do you guys want another beating?”

HMPH! Sun Guihua scoffed with her arms crossed in front of her. “Kill me if you dare!”

As for Wu Daming, he didn’t say anything and kept his head down to avoid meeting Yang Guang’s eyes.

Lai Laosi struggled to get up and pointed at Yang Guang. “You must be the dead husband’s little brother, right?”

This middle-aged man had angered Yang Guang with just a single sentence. He took a few steps toward Lai Laosi and slapped him in the face.

Lai Laosi gasped and put his hand on his cheek. “Y…you b*stard! Are you trying to kill me? Come on! Hit me on the head with all your might. Come on.”

“Get lost!” Yang Guang scowled and kicked Lai Laosi, sending the middle-aged man to the floor again.

The young man then turned to Wu Xiaolian and asked, “What’s going on? Didn’t you give them the money?”

“I did, but my brother took 50,000 from Lai Laosi.” Wu Xiaolian sobbed.

“What the heck?” Yang Guang turned to look at Wu Daming. “And here I am, wondering why you are keeping your mouth shut. Wu Daming, do you hate your sister that much?”

“You can’t blame me,” Wu Daming suddenly said. “M…my fiance’s family is asking for more wedding gifts. I didn’t have a choice.”

“And you sold your sister, just like that? Why don’t you just sell one of your kidneys instead?”

Yang Guang charged forward and was about to hit Wu Daming when Sun Guihua stepped in between them and yelled, “You will have to kill me before you can hit my son.”

Yang Guang was completely dumbstruck by Sun Guihua’s actions.

“Guang, just ignore them,” Xu Ling suddenly stepped in and said, “Yaya is terrified. Let’s go back.”

“Go back?” Lai Laosi, who was pretending to be out cold on the floor, suddenly leaped up. “In your dreams! Either you give me the money back or I take the girl with me.”

“You want your money? Take it from them,” Yang Guang said while pointing at Sun Guihua and Wu Daming, before grabbing Wu Xiaolian’s hand. “Xiaolian, let’s go.”

“Xiaolian!” Sun Guihua roared. “If you leave now, I’ll kill myself.”

When Wu Xiaolian heard that, she couldn’t bring herself to leave.

She turned to look at her mother and wailed, “Mom, why are you trying to send me to h*ll?”

“No! I’m not sending you to h*ll! I’m going to h*ll myself!” Sun Guihua scolded and ran headfirst toward the wall.

Fortunately, Wu Daming was next to his mother and managed to pull her back.

The son then grabbed a hatchet and roared at Yang Guang, “F*ck it! Either you live or we live.”

“Shut the h*ll up!” Yang Guang was so angry that his eyes were completely red. With a kick, he sent Wu Daming flying backward.

The scene was a complete mess. There were people crying and people yelling, while the villagers standing outside were gossiping loudly.

“Shut the f*ck up!” Yang Guang roared when he noticed that his sister-in-law was trembling in fear.

That one roar was able to send a chill down everyone’s spine, forcing them all to shut up.

Yang Guang then look at Sun Guihua and her son and said, “You want money? Fine! I’ll give you money.”

The young man then turned to Lai Laosi. “Wu Daming took 100,000 from you, right?”

“That’s right!” Lai Laosi acted tough despite trying to keep his distance from Yang Guang.

“I will give you the money, but you have to swear that you will never approach Xiaolian again.”

“That’s not enough! You kicked me twice! You have to pay for my hospital bill too,” Lai Laosi said.

“You sure are greedy,” Yang Guang scoffed.

“So? Either you kill me or I keep causing the Wu family and you trouble until the day one of us dies!”

“How much do you want?” Yang Guang scowled. His eyes were filled with killing intent.

Lai Laosi felt as if the temperature had suddenly plummeted. He shivered and said, “150,000. And I promise you I won’t approach Xiaolian ever again.”

“Who gives you the right to address her like that?” Yang Guang roared. “You better make sure you keep your word. Everyone here is a witness!”

“So? Do you even have 150,000?” Lai Laosi scoffed and rolled his eyes.

“I do.” Yang Guang laughed and turned to look at Sun Guihua and Wu Daming. “And you two…”

“W….what do you want?” Wu Daming asked nervously while taking a step back.
