The Land Of Beast Taming : My Pet Can Revert - Chapter 3

Translator: Nyoi-Bo Studio Editor: Nyoi-Bo Studio

The wild was not a place where anyone could go.

There were Beast Tamers in this world. Besides, there were some beast adventurers who relied on their beasts to earn money. Their beasts killed ferocious beasts in the wild every day so that they could obtain crystal nucleus in exchange for what they wanted.

However … Beast Adventurers lived a dangerous life.

Research had shown that the number of beast adventurers dying in the wild accounted for 80% of the human losses, which meant that there would be eight beast adventurers out of ten dead humans.

It was dangerous. Yet, if Andrew wanted to go to the wild, the only way was to become a wilderness adventurer.

In the past, he would not have the guts to set foot in the wild since he was such a useless guy. However, things were different now.

As his lizard had evolved, Andrew was confident that he could protect himself in the wild.

After keeping his lizard in Beast Space, Andrew went to the Adventurer’s Association.

Glancing at the gazes around that sized him up, Andrew strode in. “Hello, please help me apply for a wilderness adventurer.”

“Yes, sir. Please provide your identity … ”

The staff member answered subconsciously, but she froze when she raised her head and saw Andrew in front of her.

Then, she quickly changed her tone. “How old are you, kid? Do you know that you need to open your beast space before applying for a beast adventurer?”

Usually, Beast Space could not open until people turned eighteen, and their first beast wouldn’t be very strong as they had just activated their beast taming talent.

However, an adventurer had to rely on a powerful beast for surviving in the wild. Therefore, most of the beast adventurers were older than Andrew, and they had contracted with many beasts.

A teenager like Andrew, who looked no more than eighteen years old, was very rare here. That was also the reason why Andrew had been sized up along the way.

Andrew did not reply. He silently handed over his ID card to prove he was old enough.

The staff looked at the ID card in her hand, then shifted her gaze at Andrew’s young face with some hesitation.

“Help me apply for a wilderness adventurer,” Andrew repeated in a low voice.

“Okay, kid, I’ll give you an adventurer license, but you must wait until your beast becomes strong enough before going to the wild!”

The staff member hesitated for a moment and warned him before giving Andrew the license.

“Thank you.” Andrew took it and then left.

The beast adventurers who were standing around also noticed him. Seeing Andrew walk away, they began to discuss.

“I bet ten crystal nucleus that this kid will soon be torn to pieces by the ferocious beasts in the wild!”

“What a hothead! He’s so confident and can’t wait to go to the wild just because he got some powerful beasts. He could probably die!”

“He’ll lose an arm or a leg if he’s lucky enough, or he’ll only become the food for the beasts.”

On the other side.

Of course, Andrew couldn’t hear the discussions of those people.

With his adventurer license, he soon arrived in the wild.

The endless dark sky, coupled with the wasteland with steels, made it look like the end of the world.

Ferocious beasts appeared ten years ago, destroying the scientific system that mankind created and most of mankind’s civilization.

However, the former glory of mankind could also be seen in the ruins.

Andrew opened his beast space and let out the lizard.

It appeared spirited upon release as if it liked the atmosphere outside very much. Yet, the lizard still obediently followed behind Andrew under his instructions.

The wild was very dangerous. Andrew knew it. There were classes about wilderness survival in the school, which took up 80% of all the cultural lessons. It was sufficient to show the danger of the wilderness.

He searched carefully along the way and soon saw a ferocious beast in the distance.

It was a mutated spider, making a web on the ruins of a building. Under the stimulation of the supernatural realm’s spiritual energy, its body had mutated into the size of a calf.

Purple-spotted Spider!

Information about this ferocious beast popped up in Andrew’s mind.

His teacher at school had warned them about it. Purple-spotted Spider was a 2-star ferocious beast. An adult could reach level 20 and could overturn a small car. The most important thing was its venom, which could even paralyze a level-30 beast to death.

Andrew frowned. It was too powerful for his lizard currently.

Suddenly, Andrew recalled something. The system had noticed that one of the lizard’s abilities was max poison resistance. Did it mean that it was not afraid of poison?

At the thought of this, Andrew gave an order to his lizard.

Whoosh!

The Iron-armored Black Lizard received the order and dashed out.

Moving quickly with its four claws, it went to the front of the Purple-spotted Spider soon.

The spider’s large body was hanging in the air with its spider silk.

The lizard did not slow down as it faced the spider.

The next moment, it bit two legs of the spider and pulled them off with force.

Then, the spider also began to counterattack. Suddenly, one of its legs stabbed the lizard’s body and began to release its venom.

Andrew, who was not far away, was watching. He observed for a while.

As expected, the lizard did not get hurt. It was not affected by the venom and was still crazily biting the spider.

The spider did not continue the battle with the lizard. Instead, it began to dodge.

It was waiting for the moment when the poison took effect.

But even if it tried to dodge, the lizard still bit off a few more legs of it.

At last, the lizard remained alive and energetic while the spider was covered in wounds with almost all its legs bitten off.

Its compound eyes flashed with a hint of doubt like a human being. There was only one thought in its simple mind. “Why wasn’t the creature in front of me poisoned?”

Later, the lizard brought the crystal nucleus of the Purple-spotted Spider to him as if it was taking credit for it.

Looking at the lizard, which showed no signs of being poisoned at all, Andrew was pleasantly surprised. For the whole time of the fight, he had witnessed the spider crazily poison the lizard but make no difference.

The poison resistance ability of the lizard was so impressive!

Nidhogg was known as the legendary creature of the poisonous dragon. It was the king of the poison itself. That was why the lizard would be highly resistant to poison even if it had only a little of Nidhogg’s power.

Andrew’s lips curled into a smile as he thought of this.

“Looks like my little lizard will shine in the school competition in a month..”
