The Greatest Extra in history - Chapter 6

Character List

Raymond Pilius

Alex Tilinger, Baron Tilinger’s second son.

Ronald Pilius, emperor of the Pilias Empire.

Aloken Pilius, third Prince of Pilias Empire

Lisefield Dior, an Old Mage

A small awkwardness appeared within his heart, he turned his gaze to his opposite side because he could feel the emperor’s gaze full of worries about his son.

“How did this happen?” His worry only appeared briefly as the emperor soon regained his dignity. He now asked for the whole story.

Raymond tried to hide his nervous look and swallowed his dry saliva. He can’t reveal about the “Spear of sacrifice” yet, so he has to answer well here.

He needed to use his brain to the maximum in order to come up for a plausible lie.

“While being inside the imperial chamber no.7, I found a book that says how to release. I got interested in it, so I tried it while reading.”

“So what happened after?” asked the emperor. His voice was filled with curiosity. He seemed to have erased a lot of worries because the healer sent a signal from the side saying that Raymond’s condition was okay?

“I was able to release my mana.”

“Really?”

The emperor was surprised. The royal knights, who were standing nearby them, also had their eyes opened wide.

‘The Fifth Prince, famous for being an asshole, has finally released his mana?’

This was a suitable lie, and there was no way they would find the actual truth. With everyone looking at the fifth prince with astonishment, only the royal guards remained unwavering.

“Yes, His Majesty. What kind of situation would I lie about?”

“I believe in you.”

“Your Majesty, the Minister must have already know that you are absent.”

“It’s time to go now?”

It was the conversation between the confident and the emperor. The emperor seems to have left all his schedules for a while and ran back when he came to know that his son collapsed despite his busy schedule.

“Don’t push yourself too hard.”

After saying this last sentence, the emperor left the infirmary.

Only then did the knights, who were nervous about the sudden appearance of the emperor, calm their minds down.

“How is your condition, Your Majesty the Fifth?” When the situation calmed down, Alex was the first to step near the prince. When asked, the healer opened his mouth with a light smile.

“You’ve used up a lot of your vitality, but you’ll recover if you stay stable and get plenty of rest for a few days.”

“Thanks.”

Raymond didn’t want to actually rest, but he answered with a nod towards the healer.

Back at the palace of the Fifth prince.

Raymond called Alex.

“Did you call me? Fifth Prince.”

“Alex, there will be a secret visitor coming, so minimize the patrolling guards within the perimeter around the bedroom.”

“There was an attack on the Imperial Palace just a few days ago. Is that okay?”

Alex cautiously expressed his concerns. He understood the meaning of Raymond having a secret guest, still he couldn’t help but to worry.

Although his feelings for the fifth prince have been developing into fondness recently, he was still not loyal to him yet.

However, Alex was the first person to take immediate action if there was a problem within the fifth prince’s personal safety.

“Alex, there’s nothing you’re worried about. It’ll only take a few minutes, so stop patrolling for half an hour.”

“Yes, Your Grace the Fifth.”

“Go get some rest.”

Alex is gone.

Not long after Alex left, the door slowly opened and an old man wearing a brown robe walked in.

It’s Lisefield Dior.

“Has the old man come?”

He turned his head in the direction he felt as he put down the glass.

There, Lisefield stood with a tired look on his face.

“You’re not wearing the blue-tower robe.”

“Fifth Prince, that robe became a mess.”

Instead of answering, Raymond nodded slowly.

“When I came back to the tower, some of the Royal Guard were questioning me why my robe became a mess. Really, I’ve had a hard time making excuses.”

Lisefield said, while wiping his fake sweat drops. Raymond frowned as he filled the glass.

‘The Royal Guard questioned you? This is a little too much.’

“Before there were times I was being targeted, why did they send a Royal Guard for you? Old man, what the hell do you usually do? You’ve done a lot of suspicious things?”

“Sigh! The Royal Guard has no choice but to come.”

Lisefield sighed with a mixture of complex emotions.

“You have made a hole in the blue tower, the tower which was covered with an ancient defensive magic.”

Old man, what do you mean?”

“Don’t you remember?”

‘Yeah, I don’t remember. For real.’

“The spear of sacrifice used by the Fifth Prince has drilled a hole in the blue tower.”

No way.

“I’ve had a hard time putting it around to avoid people being suspicious.” Lisefield’s voice was serious.

I guess it’s not a joke.

The place where Raymond went to practice was in the Blue tower because if he were to practice on the Imperial Chamber, he may have caused ruckus with the sound. Raymond was sitting at the top of the table, and in front of him stood, Lisefield Dior, sighing.

“Do you know how powerful the tower’s defensive magic is?”

“I know most of them.”

“An ancient sage wizard, the first blue-tower master, designed it and assembled his own defensive magic. Do you know what this means? Your Majesty the Fifth…….”

Instead of answering, he shook his head. Then Lisefield opened his mouth with a serious face, taking a step closer.

“Your Majesty the Fifth has destroyed the defensive imprint from a sage. Now, It can’t be restored.”

‘Yeah, I’m sorry.’

“I will reward you when the time comes.”

“Yes, you’ll have to pay for the repairs.”

Since there was a box of precious jewels he found in Hansen’s secret room, he gladly nodded and waited for how much the tower owner would ask for the repairs.

“The repair fee is for the fifth Prince to live in the blue tower for a week.”

I didn’t expect this.

“Your Majesty…….I only ask this as a compensation Your Majesty the Fifth.” You old man, you’re so smart.

“You will learn magic from the blue tower for a week.”

Lisefield said with a soft smile. He must have been very determined that he made Raymond unable to reject the offer.

‘The Fifth Prince has God-given talent. I am not going to let him slip by.’

Lisefield thought. Lisefield’s eyes showed a strong desire as he looked at the fifth prince .

After the Great War, the only ancient country to survive was the Pilias Empire. But they lost so much in return for surviving. It has already been hundreds of years since the Sages and enemies have been cut off. The Matap Union tried to produce another Sage Wizard, but it has yet to be achieved. But hope appeared in a completely different place. And Lisefield saw the hope in Raymond.

“Old man, it’s too much.”

“Hmm! Anyway, you have to pay for the repairs!”

“Is there any other way? Even if it was not by an enemy, the Heifel Empire, the Kingdom of Mado could invite a sorcerer to repair it.” Raymond knows that there is a sage monk in the kingdom of Mado.

There were two people who officially revealed themselves, and other two secretly secluded Sages.

Raymond knew of the existence of the secluded sages who was known only by the king and the leaders of the Kingdom of Mado because he had seen the set-up book.

“Can’t you leave the repair to a foreign Sage?”

The blue tower owner raised his voice.

“Hand in the Empire then…….”

Raymond was so anxious that he quickly closed his mouth. It’s not time to take this setting out yet.

“Fifth Prince?”

“Nothing.” He shook his head, but the suspicious gaze from Lisefield also followed. Raymond felt like cold sweat was dripping. Feeling that he needed something to change the subject, Raymond hurriedly opened his mouth.

“I’ll tell the Emperor that I will spend a week in the tower.”

“It will be a pleasant time, Your Grace the fifth.”

‘That’s just for you.’ Raymond swallowed the back of his tongue lightly. With a faint smile around his mouth, he nodded and left the room to join his entourage.

“Fifth Prince, have you been acquainted with the Lord of the Blue Tower?”

Alex couldn’t resist the curiosity and asked carefully. I think Alex forgot a lot about his trauma because I’ve been nice to him lately. In the past, he would have never dared to ask a question and would not have been thought of, nor would he have been so close. “Not close enough, just being an accidental acquaintance.”

“The lord of Blue Tower is known to do little outside activity, and he is also among the Top 5 wizard.” “I’m sorry, but I have to go somewhere first.”

“Are you going to the bar?”Alex said with his head down, but Raymond shook his head. “No, I’m going to the palace.” “Hwa, are you talking about the palace?” Alex was surprised, but he was worried for no reason.

‘The Emperor loves the fifth prince.’

Knowing this is enough as a weapon to use to take the throne.

Raymond got the Emperor’s permission. When he expressed his intention to live in the Blue Tower for a week to train his Mana, the emperor nodded with a rather touching look rather than objecting.

I can’t believe my son, who’s been a troublemaker for five years, has suddenly come to his senses and will train magic. This is good news. The emperor thought.

Learning how to deal with Mana also opens the way to a high-ranking position dealing with powerful people, even if he does not become a wizard.

If Raymond develops further there, he might as well become a swordsman dealing with the honor blade.

“You go to the palace often these days, Raymond.”

“Is this Brother Aloken?”

As soon as he came out of the imperial study with the permission of the emperor, the third prince, Aloken, walked out from the corner.

“I told you not to pay attention to the throne, but you still didn’t listen to me.”

He smiled softly, but it was a threatening tone.

“I’ll take care of it.” Raymond answered coldly. Did that sound like rebellion?

Alaken’s face, which had a good-looking smile initially, was distorted.

“Are you going back at me?”

He turned his head slightly toward the attendants behind him.

“Do you believe in the imperial knights behind you? Do you really think they’re your knight?”

The third prince spoke with an insidious voice. The imperial knights took three steps back without saying a word.

Alex kept his position, but now Raymond was shaking to the point of regret.

‘This third Prince…he is scarier than what the novel has set up as.’

He didn’t expect that he would plant spies even among the imperial knights of the Fifth Prince with his own people.

Although the power of the third prince is said to be strong, it cannot be achieved in a short period of time. Maybe he had been preparing it for a few years.

“How is it?”

Aloken shrugged his shoulders with a villain-like look.

He seems to have hoped to tremble with fear, but unfortunately, he is not very impressed.

The only thought Raymond had is that he should build up his power as soon as possible and organize his own escorts.

‘I need to have my own people.’

The current emperor, Ronald Pilius, was an excellent emperor, but he is now old and ill.

Just by looking at the spies the third prince sent filled with his own people, one can see how weak the emperor’s power has become.

“I’ll take your advice into consideration.”

“If you want to live long, you’ll have to.”

The third prince spouted in a cold voice and walked leisurely with his entourage.

“Fifth prince, Your Grace…….”

Alex approached. Raymond opened his mouth while his gaze was on the back of Aloken, who was moving away.

“Don’t say anything right now.”

After saying that, he headed to the Fifth palace first. He needed time to organize his own thoughts.

“Fifth Prince, we’re all set.”

Walking through the garden of the Fifth Palace, Alex approached and reported from somewhere.

He said he would stay for a week, but he had a lot to pack because the royal family was moving. That’s why it took longer than expected.

“Yes, thank you.”

It’s time to go to the blue tower. As he moved, imperial knights waiting in and out of the garden moved in unison.

‘Too many.’

The number was over ten. Perhaps because it was only a short time after the imperial palace attack, the emperor attacked about 10 royal knights on condition that they were allowed to stay in the blue tower for a week.

The proximity escort will be two to three, including Alex, and the rest of the Imperial Knights will be on standby near the tower.

“I’ll take you to the carriage.”

“Yes.”

There was a carriage ready for the blue tower. The blue tower was near the capital, so it did not take much time to move. The carriage was comfortable because it belonged to the imperial family.

In front of the tower, Lisefield with some of the tower’s elder-class wizards came to meet the Fifth Prince.

The carriage stopped and Raymond got off.

“Your Fifth Imperial Prince is here…”

“Old man, let’s go to the office.” The first thing Raymond said as he got down from the carriage. The blue-tower owner, Lisefield, followed with a puzzled look. Soon, he arrived at the office of the Blue Tower on the top floor. He sat in the top seat and opened his mouth with a serious expression on his face.

“Old man.”

“Yes, Your Grace the Fifth. Go ahead.”

“I’ve changed my mind.”

I thought that becoming a wizard is not that important as I have most of the information in the book and I control the Blue Tower… But now I changed my mind.

“Junior wizard.”

“What?”

“What are you talking about?” With an unknown look on his face, Lisefield asked again.

Oh, is that too much? Then I’ll explain it to you properly.

“In a week, I’ll be at least a junior wizard.”

“Fifth Prince, even a genius takes more than a year. On average, the average person needs to clean up their mana for more than four years just to become a junior wizard.”

Lisefield carefully expressed his concern.

No matter how talented Raymond is, he has never learned magic, so he may not become a junior wizard within a week.

“With the cooperation of the old man, it’s possible.”

“What?”

Lisefield’s eyes trembled with anxiety.

“Give me.”

“What?”

All that Lisefield can say is, “What?” when facing Raymond.

“Give me all the secrets of the tower.”

Lisefield now has lost all his strength and almost fainted at the words of the fifth prince.
