Lin Huai grinned. He didn’t need Captain Wang to explain any further, so he smiled calmly and said, “I understand.”
“Seems like you’re indeed a smart guy. Since you’re smart, you shouldn’t have reacted so quickly in the first place. You had no foundation or relationship with anyone else outside of college, and you’re considered an outsider. I hope that you have a solution to this, instead of merely understanding the facts,” Captain Wang said with a smile. “I’ve heard about the rules you set after uniting everyone in Yulan College. I really admire a young man like you. If you face any problems in the future, please call me.”
Lin Huai understood that connections were a powerful tool for success, hence he immediately returned the kind gesture with a smile and said, “Thank you for the reminder, Captain Wang. Let’s have a meal together when we’re free.”
Captain Wang agreed gracefully. He was obviously trying to build a good relationship with Lin Huai; to him, he wasn’t sure about Lin Huai’s future, but he would be at no loss if he built a good relationship with Lin Huai in advance. Who knew? He might need him in the future.

Wei Qimian asked in surprise, “How did you get dismissed?”
Lin Huai replied with a smile, “You haven’t heard yet. The last time I was arrested and locked up, your dad wanted me to stop interfering in college matters. I didn’t agree with him, hence he fired me.”
Wei Qimian did feel that something wasn’t right back then. When Lin Huai told her the truth, she frowned and said, “I must find out the truth from my dad. My dad is a legitimate businessman. He wouldn’t be involved in such matters since it brings no profit to him.”
“It seems so, but I wouldn’t know the specifics,” Lin Huai replied. “Forget it, you should head back with them.”
“No.” Wei Qimian frowned as she said, “My dad wants me to transfer to a new college right away. I never wanted to transfer. I’m heading back to my dorm. I have rehearsals tonight, and you’re coming with me.”
Lin Huai smiled bitterly and said, “Too many things happened today, why are you still going to rehearsal? Let’s wait till tomorrow. Head back home and have a good rest. I would probably need to rest as well.”

A smile blossomed on his face. It seemed like Mianmian and his relationship had improved; she even took the initiative to hold his hands today.
In addition, Lin Huai was most joyful about the fact that the employer-employee relationship between Wei Qimian and himself had been terminated, which meant that he could finally take action on Wei Qimian—he could finally pursue Wei Qimian outrightly.

Li Qianqian sighed faintly and said, “I knew that I can’t persuade you. Ever since I saw your sense of justice when you were talking about Yulan College, I knew that I could never change your mind.”
Lin Huai’s eyes were shining bright as he asked, “Your chairman must have known that I would be here, hence he specifically asked for your help to persuade me.”
Li Qianqian hesitated for a moment and hummed in agreement.
Lin Huai then asked, “Are you the one who told him about it?”
While Li Qianqian was still hesitating, Lin Huai answered his own question. “Of course not, because your chairman was the one who sent someone to watch over you previously. Am I right?”
Li Qianqian gritted her teeth and replied, “That is not important.”
“This is important!” The look in Lin Huai’s eyes became fierce. “Previously, when you were sent to the hospital and got your head bandaged due to an injury, I have been wondering about it.
