The Great Trump Card - Chapter 86

Lin Huai stepped closer and closer as Zhou Minghu’s eyes turned red; the evil inside him could be felt permeating from his body with increasing intensity. Lin Huai could see that Zhou Minghu actually had the guts to open fire.

When Zhou Minghu was fighting with Zhang Hongdi and Li Guangzhi just now, Lin Huai could see that he was a formidable opponent. His strength was definitely above the Yulan’s Four Tigers and was similar to Li Kandao’s strength. From what Lin Huai had been informed, Zhou Minghu’s power when fighting one-on-one was not that strong but it was clear that he had been concealing his strength all along.

Lin Huai walked closer to him, treading very slowly, but his footsteps were firm and steady. Zhou Minghu’s gun barrel was still pointing directly at Lin Huai’s face and the look in his eyes was getting more frantic; he looked like he would pull the trigger any moment.

There was a deafening silence in the school compound and all the girls were covering their mouth with their hands.

Liu Meiqi was weeping as she shouted out, “No!”

Zhou Minghu asked, “Do you have any last words?”

“No.”

Zhou Minghu continued, “If I had known that you have such wild ambitions, I would’ve given a hand to Zhang Chunlei that time.”

“You’re wrong.”

“I’m wrong?”

“Yes, you’re wrong.” Lin Huai asked, “You think I’m doing all this just to become the Big Boss of the school?”

“Isn’t that so?” Zhou Minghu laughed coldly. “Don’t joke with me. We are all boys, you think I don’t know what you have in mind?”

“You really don’t.” Lin Huai’s eyes were also gleaming with an intention to kill as he asked calmly, “This is a school, a sacred ground for learning, but look how chaotic you turned it?”

Zhou Minghu chuckled and replied, “This must be a joke. You’re putting the blame on me now? I admit I’m not a good person but doesn’t this responsibility fall onto that old principal? If it wasn’t for his compromisation, would the school even be in this state?”

Lin Huai glanced at the principal who was feeling uneasy and looked back to Zhou Minghu and said, “The principal and you have your own responsibilities respectively. If you are merely the Big Boss of the school, perhaps I wouldn’t have wanted to take you down. However, you violated a taboo.”

“What taboo?”

“Drugs!” Lin Huai clenched his teeth and continued, “Do you know how harmful drugs are to us? Do you know how many families have been destroyed by that substance and how many families have been separated because of it? Yet you still came up with the idea of dealing drugs. It was from that moment on that I knew I could not tolerate you!”

Upon hearing so, the students who did not know about this suddenly started babbling.

Zhou Minghu exhaled sharply, but he did not deny it. “So what if I did? I am a fierce and ambitious person, not a saint. I only care about earning money. We will be part of gangs in the future anyway, so why pretend to be kind?”

Lin Huai laughed out. “It’s good that you admit it, then I won’t have any internal burden anymore.”

Zhou Minghu snickered and said, “Of course you won’t be having any internal burden because you will be meeting the lord of the underworld soon. Nobody in this world can betray me and destroy what I have built. You destroyed everything I had and I will kill you for that, even if it meant my own death!”

Lin Huai looked at Zhou Minghu and asked, “Do you even dare to open fire?”

“Take a guess!”

“Yes!”

Zhou Minghu cracked a smile. “Congratulations, you answered correctly. I did not want to do this but you have pushed me over the edge! Thus, you can go ahead and die. I, Zhou Minghu, have lived as a fierce and ambitious person and I will die as a hero. Today, I will drag you to hell with me!”

Zhou Minghu had a look of certainty in his eyes; his murderous aura made everyone tremble and his fingers pulled the trigger. Bang! The gun was fired.

However, Lin Huai’s body suddenly flew forward at this instant and while his body was in mid-air, the dagger in his hand flew out; the dagger was like a meteor as it streaked across the air and dug itself straight into Zhou Minghu’s throat. Zhou Minghu’s eyes opened wide and his hands grabbed onto his throat as he looked at Lin Huai—who was lying on the ground—with disbelief.

Of course, Lin Huai did not die and get shot, but that scene was so perilous and intense that everyone was shocked by it. Liu Meiqi’s body felt weak but Gao Mengchao held onto her.

Gao Mengchao mumbled to herself in shock, “What a superb skill.”

Lin Huai’s reaction was indeed very agile. He managed to dodge a bullet and although this was partly because he had anticipated it, not everyone could mimic his thought process.

Lin Huai stood up and walked toward Zhou Minghu, who was standing still, with his mouth wide open, but no words came out of it; blood was pouring out of his mouth and throat at the same time.

Lin Huai walked to his side and whispered softly in his ear, “I’ve told you, I won’t have any burden since you admitted to it. Anyway, those who create darkness in this world will have to die… Also, thank you for bringing a gun today, if not I won’t have any excuses to kill you.”

Zhou Minghu collapsed to the ground and after a moment of twitching, he did not move anymore.

The whole school fell into silence; it was so quiet that even the sound of everyone’s heartbeat could be heard.

Right at this moment, Pu Chengji suddenly stepped out and yelled, “I can testify that Mr. Huai was only defending himself just now!”

Wu Jun also stood out and shouted, “I can testify!”

“I can testify!”

“I can testify!”

“I can also testify!”

Lin Huai replied, “Call the police and the ambulance first, Pu Chengji.”

Pu Chengji agreed and made the call.

Lin Huai’s gaze swept around the crowd and he declared, “From now on, I am the Big Boss of Yulan College!”

Gao Mengchao’s eyes gleamed for a moment but she did not oppose him, nor did the others; he had just killed Zhou Minghu and his strength was at its peak now. Everyone was clear that nobody could beat Lin Huai at this moment.

Lin Huai continued loudly, “After this, I will establish my own Red Canes. The girls in the school will still be under Miss Gao’s supervision and I will not interfere with that. As for the rest of you, I will arrange all of you to serve under my Red Canes. I will establish a few rules and these rules will not only apply to my men, but also to the students in the entire school, including Miss Gao.”

Gao Mengchao’s gaze turned cold; although he had just said that her people still belonged to her and he would not interfere with that, he was setting up rules for her and her people now. How was that any different than her having submitted to him?

Nevertheless, Gao Mengchao was an emotionally stable person and did not defy him. The other people saw that even the last remaining Big Boss, Gao Mengchao, did not put up a fight and naturally, they did not have the courage to defy him as well.

Lin Huai bellowed, “This is a school, a haven for learning and not some chaotic place. From now on, none of you are allowed to disrupt classes during school hours. This is my first rule!”

Everyone there, including Gao Mengchao, was shocked at Lin Hua’s first rule.

At that moment, Wei Qimian came running into the school. Wei Qimian’s roommate had texted her the news of Lin Huai fighting with Zhou Minghu and she quickly found a way to rush there, even her bodyguards that were at home followed behind.

Wei Qimian’s footsteps slowed down and her eyes turned red after listening to Lin Huai’s speech.

Lin Huai yelled, “This is a school that was established by Madam Wei. Her goal was to allow the students from poor family backgrounds have better education with a lower tuition fee. The school has great resources and lecturers but all of you are just willing to let each day go by idly without having an ambition of your own. Don’t you feel that you have let Madam Wei—who has passed away—and Yulan’s College’s reputation down? Don’t you feel sorry for your parents? Have you guys ever wondered what your parents are busy doing while you are fighting here everyday? Do you know how tough it is for your parents to earn each penny to pay for your tuition fee!?”

Everyone fell silent. Although they misbehaved and fought often, they remembered that they still had one more identity—they were their parents’ children. Furthermore, most of them came from poor families and the children became independent at a younger age. They could understand their parents’ hardship better and would feel pity for their parents.

Lin Huai continued, “If you don’t even care about your parents, then I think there’s no need for you to come to school anymore, because how are you any different from animals?”

Everyone lapsed into silence.

Lin Huai continued his speech in a ringing voice, “Number two, we have to respect our teachers. If what had happened to Miss Pu Yingxue previously repeats, those students will be facing a terrible consequence.”

Lin Huai added, “I do not wish to bring you to fights and battles as a Big Boss. What I want to do is guide you all to become fighters for the peace of Yulan College. We only have one principle, which is, trash who breaks the school rules must be beaten and also expelled from the school! Do you all understand?”

Everyone started shouting out, “Understood!”

Although the gangsters were often fighting and felt that they were powerful, deep down they knew that most people were secretly calling them unemployed scums who were up to no good and looked down on them. However, out of nowhere, they could feel a spiritual moment because now they had become the police force of the school.

Lin Huai continued, “Number three, I hope that everyone will study eagerly but I will not force this on you. As long as you do not talk and cause trouble when the class is going on, I won’t ask for more. Nevertheless, I believe that every student had an eager attitude toward learning when they just started school but because of the poor environment, what with the seniors influencing the juniors and classmates influencing each other, everyone gradually lost the will to study and thought that there were no other fun things to do besides fighting and collecting protection fees. I hope everyone can rediscover their interest in studying.”

“Alright, I will set up my own followers after two days. All of you who are here today must be here again at that time, and Miss Gao, you will need to be here as well to bear witness.”

Gao Mengchao nodded her head slightly.

Lin Huai then turned his head toward the principal and the disciplinary teacher. He suddenly smiled in a menacing way as he said, “Mr. Principal, Mr. Disciplinary Teacher, since you don’t care about them, then I will do the job for you. Are you two satisfied?”

The principal and the disciplinary teacher’s expressions changed immediately upon hearing Lin Huai’s sarcastic comment.
