The Great Trump Card - Chapter 83

There were thousands of people on the field with imposing demeanours and the scene was just spectacular. Nevertheless, the school did not stop this gathering and it was apparent that the school tolerated their actions.

Zhou Minghu walked to the middle of the field while Zhang Hongdi, Li Guangzhi and the rest of the sports major’s gangsters followed him from behind. Even though their numbers were small compared to the thousands of people on the field, the people on the field still lowered their heads when they saw them coming. There was no other choice; the sports major had been very intimidating in the school and it was not an exaggeration at all to say that any one of them could beat two men single-handedly.

Although Lin Huai had also done an inspection before on the field, the crowd at that time was not as large as the one Zhou Minghu had now; the difference was significant between the two. There were thousands of people on the field and there were four to five hundred people behind Zhou Minghu. Altogether, half of the boys in the school were there.

There were boys and girls surrounding the school watching, and the windows of the classes were also open as students and teachers leaned out to watch the occasion.

Zhou Minghu did not utter a single word as he walked from the student at the far end on the right to the student at the leftmost end. He had an imposing demeanour, like a demon that made hearts tremble. Everyone felt their hearts thumping against their chests and their breathing were rapid; they could feel as if a force was pressing against their chest.

Even if Lin Huai was standing there, he would probably admit that Zhou Minghu was born to be an ambitious and ruthless ruler.

There were Li Kandao and Dao Zi who were born to be formidable in Yulan College, and now there was Zhou Minghu who was an ambitious and ruthless leader; Yulan College was really a college that had so many hidden and undiscovered talents.

Zhou Minghu suddenly stopped in his tracks. He glanced at everyone in front of him and everyone hung their head low.

“From now on, there will only be one Big Boss in this school. Do you all know who he is?”

Zhou Minghu did not beat around the bush and went straight to the point. For an ambitious and ruthless person like him, he felt the need to go straight to his point in order to overwhelm these people in vigor. This was the way to power for the ambitious and ruthless; the less he talked, the more intimidated people would feel toward him, and if he explained himself too much, people would simply respect him less.

As expected, everyone shouted, “Mr. Hu!”

“You’re right!” Zhou Minghu continued. “However, I want to introduce to you your new upcoming Big Brothers. You will obey them the same way you obey me. They will give out orders on my behalf and all of you will listen to my orders.”

Zhou Minghu was cursing internally as he asked in a low voice, “Somebody give a call to Pan Haifeng. Why isn’t he here yet!?”

He did not dare to scold Li Kandao so he could only take his anger out on Pan Haifeng. Li Kandao was his Twin Red Cane and even he would not dare to treat Li Kandao without manners.

Li Guangzhi was feeling very uneasy and Zhang Hongdi whispered, “I’ve given him a call just now but nobody answered.”

Zhou Minghu knitted his brows and rebuked, “What is going on?!”

Nevertheless, everyone was already at the scene and he had to continue with what needed to be done. Hence, he declared in a loud voice, “Two of them are absent today but that’s okay, you have heard of them before. One of them is the ‘Twin Red Cane’, Li Kandao, and the other is ‘Tiger’s Cane’, Pan Haifeng. I will distribute all of you to your own gangs first and you have to remember who your Big Brother is, and I will be the Big Brother to your Big Brother!”

Just when Zhou Minghu was about to distribute the manpower, two students suddenly came running with tears on their face. They were weeping while shouting, “Mr. Hu, please be a judge for our case!”

Everyone was stunned by what they were seeing. Zhou Minghu frowned and there was an upset look on his face; he could remember vaguely that these two were Pan Haifeng’s trusted men but why wasn’t Pan Haifeng here? Instead, his men were yelling at an occasion like this disrespectfully.

The two men came running and immediately kneeled down in front of Zhou Minghu as they burst into tears. Li Guangzhi was dumbfounded, but he reacted quickly and stepped forward to give them a kick. “Damn you! Why are you crying? Go away!”

He was panicking because he did not expect these two men to appear at this moment. Could it be that Pan Haifeng had sent them here to expose his doings? That would be terrible. Li Guangzhi knew Zhou Minghu’s character well enough to know that he would not tolerate this kind of behaviour. If it had been in private, they might still be able to talk it over. Now that they were in front of so many people on the field, Zhou Minghu, who was prideful, would definitely not forgive him.

He had kicked one of the men down when Zhou Minghu followed suit. However, Zhou Minghu’s kick landed on Li Guangzhi instead and he reprimanded, “Damn it, Li Guangzhi! Who gave you the permission to beat people up in front of me?”

With a kick, the formidable Yulan’s Four Tigers’ Li Guangzhi lost his balance in front of the crowd and fell to the ground. The gangsters who were initially waiting to be delegated were stunned when they saw this. They were wondering why there was a squabble all of a sudden; they did not know how to react and could not wrap their heads around the situation.

Li Guangzhi rolled on the ground and climbed back up hastily. He explained himself with a trembling voice, “No, Mr. Hu. I just thought that this is a very important occasion and they are just here to cause trouble… ”

“I will decide for myself whether they have come to cause trouble or not!” Zhou Minghu had a dark expression on his face as he continued, “If they really are here to cause trouble, then I will break their hands and it’ll be useless for anyone to beg for mercy!”

After the two of them listened to him, their bodies started trembling on the ground.

Zhou Minghu threw a look at Zhang Hongdi and he immediately understood what Zhou Minghu wanted him to do; Zhang Hongdi started observing Li Guangzhi stealthily. The two of them were very smart, and they could feel that something was off with Li Guangzhi’s reaction. Hence, Zhou Minghu wanted Zhang Hongdi to keep an eye on Li Guangzhi. It was apparent that Li Guangzhi could feel that as well as he became even more anxious.

Zhou Minghu looked toward the two men who were still on their knees and said, “The two of you, what is going on? If you can’t give me a good explanation, just break your own hand and I’ll treat it as if you’ve not been here.”

The two of them clenched their teeth. Although what they say might offend Li Guangzhi, it was still better than losing an arm. What was done was done so the two of them lifted their heads and looked at Li Guangzhi with full of hatred as they said, “Mr. Hu, Li Guangzhi had plotted against our Brother Feng.”

“What?” Zhou Minghu demanded angrily. “What is going on? Explain everything to me!”

“It happened like this, Mr. Hu. Brother Feng received a call from Li Guangzhi yesterday asking him to go to a karaoke lounge with him. The two of us had followed him but we were knocked unconscious when we were outside guarding the private room before we were tied up. When we regained consciousness, we heard people talking outside saying that Li Guangzhi had stabbed Feng and he was sent to a hospital. We do not know if he is still alive or dead. Li Guangzhi did not want to wait for one more year and wants the position of the Big Boss right now. That was why he got rid of one person first and then he will slowly get rid of you, Mr. Hu… ”

“Nonsense!” Li Guangzhi was about to go crazy; his bloodshot eyes glared straight at them as he bellowed, “How dare you frame me? I’ve never said such a thing before!”
