Liu Meiqi was only trying her luck when she came, and she didn’t have much expectations; after all, Lin Huai was arrested, all because of Xuan Yuzhai and Wan Zitao. To a poor student like Lin Huai, it was nearly impossible for him to be bailed out of jail.
However, Lin Huai was indeed sitting inside there right now. He seemed to be unharmed, except for the fact that his hand was still bandaged.
When he realized that Liu Meiqi was staring at him, Lin Huai grinned and waved. The night when he was injured in the jail cell, Wan Zitao sent some doctors from the hospital to treat Lin Huai and the other peoples’ injuries. As a result, they didn’t get to enjoy any alcohol that night, and they were still not allowed to consume alcohol now, hence they could only have some beverages.
Liu Meiqi approached him in daze, and her eyes turned red suddenly as she asked with excitement, “How… How did you make it out of there?”
Lin Huai was dumbfounded as he replied, “If you feel sad because I’m out of jail, go ahead and ask them to arrest me again.”
“I… I was afraid that something bad would happen to you.” Liu Meiqi plunged into Lin Huai’s arms directly. Lin Huai hissed, but his hands patted her back to comfort her. Although this little girl was clingy at times, she was wearing her heart on her sleeves at the moment, and it was obvious that she truly cared about him. Lin Huai was a human, and he had feelings too, hence he was a little moved.
Wu Chunli also took a few steps forward. She glanced at the table full of dishes with greed in her eyes, but she did not forget to throw a glare at Lin Huai and said, “Thank God you’re out of jail, otherwise Meiqi would have gone drinking to comfort herself.”
“Uh.” Lin Huai glanced at Liu Meiqi in his arms and asked curiously, “You were about to go drinking?”
“I… I asked for help from our Big Sister, but she couldn’t help you. I ran out of ideas.”
Lin Huai smiled. “Don’t worry, their plot was insignificant to me. You must be Wu Chunli. Please have a seat, we’ll chat while eating.”
Wu Chunli took a seat and started eating immediately. Lin Huai finally understood why she was obese; she truly loved to eat, and there seemed to be nothing else in her eyes besides the food in front of her.
Liu Meiqi sat beside Lin Huai and asked curiously, “What the heck is going on? Why did they let you out? Do you have connections in your family?”
Lin Huai laughed as he replied, “Wan Zitao let me out.”
“Wan Zitao?” Liu Meiqi was confused. “Didn’t Wan Zitao send someone to arrest you? Why did he let you out?”
Lin Huai replied with a smile, “This was all just a show that we put on.”
Lin Huai briefly explained the incident to her, and Liu Meiqi listened quietly. When he was done, she couldn’t help but fall in awe as she said, “That was freaking awesome! I thought that you fell into Zhou Minghu’s schemes, but I’ve never expected that he was the one who was tricked by you!”
Lin Huai sighed as he said, “Wu Shanhe’s incident was just an accident. I totally did not expect Ranran to be Wu Shanhe’s woman. Zhou Minghu’s plot was detailed indeed. If his target had been someone else, I’m afraid that the person would have been defeated.”
Liu Meiqi chuckled. “Are you trying to praise yourself indirectly? But you’re right though. Your scheming abilities are really scary, even I feel that you’re somewhat terrifying. But I wonder if Big Sister would be afraid of you.”
“It doesn’t matter to me whether she fears me or not.” Lin Huai then added with a smile, “By right, Miss Gao would have ended up like Wu Shanhe by now, but Zhou Minghu did not dare to offend Miss Gao. Perhaps there are some reasons behind it.”
Liu Meiqi asked, “What reasons?”
Wu Chunli raised her head up when she heard that.
Lin Huai shook his head. “You guys are so close to her, but if even the two of you have no idea, how I could possibly know? Nonetheless, it seems like Zhou Minghu’s power has been established, and you and your gang’s influence are now gone. But didn’t Miss Gao agree to collaborate with me previously? Perhaps Miss Gao could defeat Zhou Minghu only if we work together.”
Liu Meiqi asked, “How do we collaborate?”
“Help us deal with Zhou Minghu. Let’s get Zhou Minghu out of Yulan College together!”
Wu Chunli locked her eyes onto Lin Huai and asked, “How do we work together?”
Wu Chunli was the first Red Cane under the lead of Gao Mengchao after all; when she was talking about business, an aura emitted from her body, and she was no longer the foodie who only buried her head in food moments ago.
Lin Huai said with a smile, “I’ll talk about the specific details later. Since this is a collaboration, you’ll have to contribute as well.”
Wu Chunli and Liu Meiqi glanced at each other, then Wu Chunli turned to look at Lin Huai and said, “Zhou Minghu is too powerful right now. We couldn’t even defeat Zhou Minghu in the past, and now that Zhou Minghu has recruited the computer science major and those who used to be in Wu Shanhe’s gang, we’re no match for him.”
Wu Chunli deserved to be the leader of the Five Golden Flowers. She managed to point out the key to the problem without letting Lin Huai’s idea go to her head.
Lin Huai smiled. “You’re right. However, it is exactly because of the fact that Zhou Minghu seems to be full of power right now, that this would be the best opportunity.”
“What do you mean?” Wu Chunli was confused.
Liu Meiqi was in doubt as well. She pressed on, “Brother Huai, hurry up and spill it out. Don’t keep us guessing…”
Lin Huai smiled. He took out a piece of paper from his pocket chest and it was filled with a list of names, then he started to explain the meticulous plan. After he was done, Wu Chunli stared at Lin Huai with her eyes wide open, and Liu Meiqi had similarly widened her beautiful eyes that were full of excitement.
Wu Chunli asked, “Do you really think that the plan is foolproof?”
Lin Huai laughed as he replied, “There’s no such thing as a foolproof plan on Earth. I could only say that there seems to be no loopholes on the surface.”
Liu Meiqi and Wu Chunli glanced at each other. Wu Chunli then said, “I can’t make a decision on this. I would need to ask Big Sister first!”
“Okay, this plan would require Miss Gao’s participation anyway.”
Wu Chunli frowned and said, “If we really succeed with this plan, and if Zhou Minghu and the gang was expelled, what about you? Who would be the Big Boss in college? Would it be you or Miss Gao?”
Lin Huai smiled, his eyes sparkled as he said, “Of course it would be me!”
“You!!” Wu Chunli was angered. “On what grounds…”
“On the grounds that Miss Gao wanted to collaborate with me,” Lin Huai said with a smile. “No matter who arises as the winner in the end, Miss Gao would never become the Big Boss in college. However, there’s one important point to note. I have no relationship with any gang outside of college, but Zhou Minghu is earning his vote from the gangs outside. If Zhou Minghu won, he would definitely overshine Miss Gao. Miss Gao is in her final year of college, and I think that emerging as a winner in college is no longer that important to her. Her developments outside of college would be more crucial.”
Liu Meiqi stared at Lin Huai with her sparkling eyes as her heart palpitated. She suddenly realized that Lin Huai seemed to be even more charming when he was talking about business, because he could always make people believe that they would never lose, and it seemed like the world was within his grasp.
