The Great Trump Card - Chapter 52

Although Zhang Chunlei was no longer present, Lin Huai had no intention of replacing him nor taking over the gang leader position. However, Lin Huai wanted to utilize his reputation to influence and change the situation within the computer science major. The three remaining classes of freshmen were to be handled by Wu Jun and the rest of them. The sophomores might not grant them both respect, so Lin Huai had to personally pay them a visit.

There were a total of four classes within each cohort year. Lin Huai arrived at the first sophomore class of the computer science major. When he stepped in and stood there for a few seconds, the loud chatting inside the class softened and the class eventually became silent.

Lin Huai grinned and said, “Don’t panic, I am only here to pay everyone a visit, nothing else.”

All the students looked at Lin Huai with respect and thought in their hearts, Nice try. Do you expect us to believe you?

Lin Huai coughed and said, “Of course, there are certain matters that I wish to announce as well. May I know who the leader of this class is?”

All the students subconsciously looked over at a guy with a rather large head. That guy had hidden his head beneath the table. Now, he had no choice but to lift his head up. He was furious and sweared at them in his heart. This is too much, how could they betray me so easily?

The guy stood up and said apologetically, “Brother Huai, I am not exactly the leader. It’s just that I have good relationships with everyone and they are willing to listen to my advice. However, I have no intention of being a gang leader.”

Lin Huai smiled and said, “What’s your name?”

“My name is Wang Erdai.”

“Wang Erdai…Why did your father give you such a name?”

Wang Erdai grinned and said, “My father said that since I was young, I have always looked dumb.”

“Alright then,” Lin Huai said. “Everybody listen up, from now on, I will drop by the computer science teachers’ office every week. If anyone is found guilty of misconduct, I will not hesitate to punish them.”

All the students were dumbfounded. It was the first time they heard a gang leader speak about discipline!

Lin Huai looked at Wang Erdai and said, “Wang Erdai, from now on, you are my follower. If anyone bullies you from now on, just mention my name. However, I would also like you to know that the conduct and behaviour of this class is governed by you. I do not care if they actually pay attention in class, but nobody should disturb the teacher during lessons. If any teacher brings this behavior up to me, not only will I punish them, I will punish you as well.”

Wang Erdai had a sour expression on his face. However, his eyes lit up right after that. No matter what, I am considered Lin Huai’s henchmen now. Being in charge of my class and controlling these students is an easy feat. With that, he stood tall and shouted, “I guarantee that I will fulfill my duty!”

Lin Huai walked out of the classroom in satisfaction.

All the students sighed and asked, “Big Boss Wang, are you really going to monitor our conduct during lessons?”

“Exactly. If we don’t smoke, chat, and play cards during lessons, is that even considered class anymore?”

Wang Erdai stared at them and smacked the table loudly. “F*ck! If anyone misbehaves during lessons, that would mean that they are going against me. Let me warn you guys, if anyone goes against me, I will beat them up after class!”

Wang Erdai could become the leader of the class not only because of his big head, but also due to the fact that he was 1.8 meters tall. He weighed close to two hundred pounds. In addition, not only was he tall and strong, but he was also rather capable at fighting. Everyone resigned to their fate upon hearing what Wang Erdai had said.

Lin Huai brought Wu Jun and Wu Mengjie to the other three classes of the sophomore cohort. After the incident with Zhang Chunlei, the entire sophomore cohort was terrified of Lin Huai and they obeyed him. Nobody dared to go against him. After all, how could anyone not be convinced by a man that could go up against more than ten people and still win the fight?

Once they finished visiting all the sophomore classes, they headed toward the stairwell. Wu Mengjie laughed loudly and said, “This feels so great! Brother Huai, to be honest, I have never thought that there will be a day when I could intimidate all the sophomore seniors just like this. Not even in my dreams. Did you see the dreadful looks on their faces?”

Wu Jun burst his bubble and said, “They were terrified of Brother Huai, not you.”

Wu Mengjie proudly said, “We came here with Brother Huai. The sophomores were not dumb. They could tell that we were close to Brother Huai. Thus, that means we can walk freely among them without fear from now on. Eh, Brother Huai, where are you going? That’s the wrong way. Our class is downstairs.”

Lin Huai continued walking up the stairs as soon as he reached the stairwell. He heard Wu Mengjie calling after him and stopped in his tracks. He asked curiously, “The wrong way? I am going to the third year cohort classes. We are done with the sophomores. Shouldn’t we head to the third year students now?”

Wu Mengjie’s face turned green. Although he used to be Zhang Chunyu’s henchman, he still managed to gather his courage and followed Lin Huai up to face Zhang Chunlei. As such, it could be seen that he was someone with strong mental fortitude. Yet, upon hearing Lin Huai’s words, his face still turned green. It could be seen that he was tremendously terrified of the third year students.

Lin Huai laughed and said, “What’s up? You dared to follow me and faced Zhang Chunlei. Yet, you are still afraid of the students upstairs?”

“I mean, that’s true. But even Zhang Chunlei did not dare to challenge those seniors,” Wu Mengjie said with a bitter smile. “Actually, Zhang Chunlei was not exactly afraid of the people upstairs. It was just a lot more troublesome to deal with them. After all, they were seniors and had been hanging around college for a lot longer. They are a lot more united and have better physical fitness as well.”

Lin Huai knew this logic as well. Students their age would grow and develop to become stronger as years went by. It was a natural and unavoidable fact. After all, they were at the last stage of puberty and the final stage of accelerated growth.

However, Lin Huai had already taken command of the freshmen and sophomores cohort. It would be a waste and regrettable if he did not utilize this opportunity to take over the entire computer science major.

Lin Huai smiled and said, “Come, let’s continue heading upstairs.”

Wu Jun tailed behind Lin Huai without hesitation. Wu Mengjie gritted his teeth and followed suit.

Lin Huai was satisfied and he said, “Do you all think there are third year students that can face off more than ten people at once? Don’t worry, I am here!”

Wu Mengjie thought about it and it made sense. There were only slightly more than ten students in one class and half of them were girls. Unless they offended the entire cohort at the same time, the entire class was still no match for Lin Huai. Although that was the case, Wu Mengjie still felt uneasy.

The three of them reached the third floor and Wu Mengjie glanced around nervously. Even Wu Jun looked nervous, but at least he was a lot calmer than Wu Mengjie. Lin Huai led the way and casually strolled into the first classroom. Just as he walked through the door, the bell rang and a teacher walked in. Lin Huai lifted his head up and said with a grin, “Good afternoon teacher, I am Lin Huai, a freshman student. I wish to make a quick announcement to your students. Would it be possible if you withheld your lesson and started slightly later?”

The teacher was in shock. He had heard of Lin Huai’s reputation and thus hurriedly said, “Oh yes, sure thing. However, don’t take up too much time. I will head to the toilet for a cigarette break.”

“Thank you, teacher.”

Once the teacher left, Lin Huai walked in casually. The entire class was in a mess. All the students were rowdy and books were flying all over. Some students were playing catch and most of them were swearing “f*ck you” and other similar words. Nobody noticed their presence when they walked in. A few seconds after Lin Huai had stood in front of the podium, someone finally noticed him. A male student smacked the table and shouted, “Quiet, settle down!”

The class became quiet and everyone stared at Lin Huai. The tall student who shouted just now casually said, “Lin Huai, I heard about you. What are you doing in our class?”

Another guy said, “Exactly. Why did you not stay put in your freshman cohort? Why did you come to our third year class?”

Lin Huai smiled and said, “I am here to pay you all a visit, and in passing inform you all of a few things. From today onward, I do not wish to see any student misbehave during lessons, nor go against the rules.”

The entire class fell into silence. Then, everyone burst into laughter. The tall guy even took a blade from under his desk and glanced at Lin Huai while saying, “You really think that we are as soft as the sophomores?”

He stood up and all the other students stood up too. They all stared intensely at Lin Huai.

Wu Jun took a deep breath and stepped forward courageously. He stood in front of Lin Huai despite his trembling legs. At the very least, he had the courage to step forward.

Wu Mengjie also stepped forward despite the pale look on his face. A large portion of the students surrounding him were taller and sturdier than he was. They all had a scary vibe. Wu Mengjie felt like a lamb surrounded by wolves. He was even tempted to speak on behalf of Lin Huai and say that they had walked into the class by mistake and it was all just a joke.

However, he could not bring himself to say such shameless things. Furthermore, how would Brother Huai view him if he actually said that?

Wu Mengjie was deep in thought when his eyes suddenly popped out. He saw that Lin Huai was briefly stunned. Then, Lin Huai waved his hands and said with a grin, “Oh, I am sorry, we made a mistake. We should not be here; it was all just a joke. Hahaha…”

Both Wu Mengjie and Wu Jun were at a loss of words.

The f*ck? Brother Huai was so unpredictable!

Not just the both of them, even all the third year students were bewildered. After all, most of them had seen with their very own eyes how powerful and domineering Lin Huai was. Even the tall guy who looked like their class leader had no idea how to react to this.

Just as everyone was in a daze, Lin Huai dashed toward the tall guy and snatched his blade. Lin Huai then pressed his wrist onto the table and slashed the blade into his arm.

With a splash, the blade cut right into his arm and blood was gushing out. If the cut was any deeper, it would have sliced into his bones.

The tall guy screamed in pain and the remaining students were shocked. Although they were pretty good at fighting and their mental fortitude was decent, they had never experienced such a thing before. They had never faced a person who would chop off another person’s hand without hesitation. Their legs turned soft and they were petrified.

Lin Huai stared at the tall guy and with a demonic grin and said, “Do you still want to keep your arms?”

“Yes, yes… Brother Huai, I surrender. I will do whatever you ask of me!”

Lin Huai then moved the blade away. The guy held onto his arm and hopped around in pain. He quickly used his jacket as a bandage to wrap around his wound.

Lin Huai glanced across the class and said sternly, “From today onward, if anyone makes any noise during lessons and disturbs the teacher, I will chop off his arm!”

Everyone in the class kept their head down in fear.
