A thought crossed Lin Huai’s mind but he temporarily suppressed that thought deep in his heart. He followed his original plan and solemnly said, “Chairman Wei, think of how you are going to deal with this issue. The reason I have not called the police is because I want to save face for you and the other school leaders. However, you do know the seriousness of drug trafficking, right? Even if they were trafficking for a third party, they would still be sentenced with severe punishment.”
Wei Sihai pondered and replied, “Are you serious? Although these kids are rebellious, it is not until this extent. Do you have any evidence on hand?”
“Nope, my friend overheard people talking about it and he told me. I can vouch for him that this matter is legitimate.”
“If that’s the case… Sigh, I did not expect such an incident to occur in the college. Even Yulan’s spirit in heaven will not be able to rest in peace. I will reprimand the school leaders and order them to look into this matter and take it seriously. If they could find evidence and confirm such behaviors, the culprits will be severely punished.”
Lin Huai frowned, saying, “I suggest that actions be taken quickly before the matter develops and blows up. No time should be wasted. Otherwise, I would take this matter to the police. That way, the students who went astray would be held responsible for their own behaviors.”
“I understand. Mr. Lin, thank you for informing me about this matter. On behalf of the entire Yulan College, I thank you.”
“You’re welcome. You don’t have to thank me.”
“It’s settled then. Mr. Lin, you don’t have to worry too much about college matters like these, because I will take care of them. It’s enough that you help to keep Mianmian safe.”
“Okay, Mr. Wei. Goodbye.”
“Goodbye.”
Lin Huai hung up the phone but a dark cloud was still hanging over him. Although Wei Sihai concealed his emotions well and said that he would order the school leaders to look into it, Lin Huai felt that Wei Sihai was obviously brushing him off. Especially the peculiar tone that Wei Sihai used when Lin Huai brought the matter up with him. An inconceivable thought crossed Lin Huai’s mind. Could it be that Wei Sihai already knew about everything going on in the college?”
Nope, that can’t be the case. I am not sure about the other incidents but he definitely did not know about the drug trafficking issue. If he knew, wouldn’t he deal with the matter right away? Wei Sihai is of such high status, as well as the big boss of Tongcheng City business world. If he was linked to drugs, that would have a huge impact on his reputation and businesses. However, if that were the case, why am I feeling so uneasy?
When Lin Huai got back to college, class had just ended. Lin Huai had only taken a few steps into the school compound before he turned around and left in a hurry.
“Hey!” Liu Meiqi, who had just walked in front of Lin Huai, stomped her feet and grumbled coquettishly. “Do I look so scary that you have to bail upon seeing me?”
“You’re not scary.” Lin Huai turned around carefully and smiled apologetically. “You are too beautiful. I am afraid that I cannot control myself.”
Liu Meiqi’s eyes brightened up and she ran happily into Lin Huai’s arms. She hugged Lin Huai’s waist and their bodies were close together. Lin Huai looked down and swore in excitement. Because they were squashed against his body, he had a clear view of Liu Meiqi’s breast and her fair and tender cleavage.

Liu Meiqi was at a loss for words. Do you think I am blind? You were obviously staring at my breasts. How could I not have noticed that? However, Liu Meiqi wanted to court Lin Huai. Thus, she played along with him and lied, “Oh yes, I know your sixth sense is sensitive. I also know that you are a gentleman, and that’s why I want to be your girlfriend. Why don’t you yield and be mine?”
“Don’t mess around. Let me tell you, move away from me. I will rather die than yield to you!” Lin Huai said while pushing her away. At the same time, he ‘accidentally’ pressed onto Liu Meiqi’s buttocks.
Liu Meiqi snorted. Hmph, look at you! Telling me you are not interested, and yet you still yearn for me. Your body and your actions are really honest.
Although Liu Meiqi thought that, she did not voice it out. Instead, she whispered delicately, “I thought of an idea. How about you agree to be my boyfriend for a probationary period of one month? After that, if we are both satisfied at how things are, then I promise to sleep with you. How’s that?”
“No way!” Lin Huai hurriedly pushed Liu Meiqi away. He righteously said, “Do I look like the kind of person that takes relationships lightly? Sleeping together after a month of probationary period? How could you say such things? You are a girl! A girl should not behave like you are. A month of probationary period is too long!”
Liu Meiqi was speechless as she did not expect Lin Huai to reply as such. Thus, she swallowed back the excuses and explanations she had.
Lin Huai sighed and shook his head. “Society in today’s day and age is so messed up. Can’t people have more trust in each other? How disappointing.”
Liu Meiqi felt wronged and said, “There are many interesting things about me that you have yet to discover. Don’t keep staring at only my body.”
Lin Huai asked, “An interesting personality?”
“Err.” Liu Meiqi was about to say that, but for some unknown reason, now that it came out of Lin Huai’s mouth, it became a derogatory term. Thus, she had no choice but to pout her lips and keep quiet.
Lin Huai laughed. “Liu Meiqi, I shall not tease you. It’s okay for us to be friends, but there is no way we can be a couple. I really have no intention of dating you.”
“Is it because of Wei Qimian?” Liu Meiqi was not willing to give up.
“Yes, something like that.” This was only a half truth, but the main intention behind it was to thoroughly reject Liu Meiqi.
Liu Meiqi was haughty as she said, “Which part of me is not as good as Wei Qimian?”
Liu Meiqi said this as she propped up her chest.
Lin Huai stared at Liu Meiqi’s chest again and said honestly, “Your breasts are not small but they are smaller than Wei Qimian’s.”
Liu Meiqi was at a loss of words. She could not deny it because although she had no idea how big Wei Qimian’s breasts were, by the looks of it, they were slightly bigger than hers.
Liu Meiqi continued questioning with a huff, “Anything else?”
“She has better grades than you.”
Liu Meiqi was in disbelief. “Hey, you are also a gangster now. Why do you have to look for a partner with good grades?”
“Who said I am a gangster?” Lin Huai said furiously. “I am here to learn and study. Let me tell you, I really really hate gangsters—people who create havoc out of nothing.”
“Gosh, like anybody would believe you.” Liu Meiqi did not believe Lin Huai. Lin Huai had only been in the college for a week or so but he had already caused so much commotion. Yet, he had the audacity to claim that he had no intention of being a gangster. If that was the case, if only he had the intention of being a gangster, wouldn’t the entire Yulan College be under his control already?
Lin Huai shook his head and said, “Whatever. I know you won’t believe me. Either way, I have no interest in girls like you that are petite and do not like studying. Bye bye, I am heading to the canteen. Don’t keep me from my eating time.”
Liu Meiqi was extremely mad that Lin Huai had the audacity to walk away from her and head toward the canteen. However, she had no choice, and Lin Huai was getting further away from her. Thus, she jumped up and shouted, “Lin Huai, our big sister wants me to send you a message: we will not offend you, and we hope that you will do the same. Remember to tell your henchmen not to mess around with us, or any of the girls in college!”
“Okay!” Lin Huai raised his hand and made an okay sign. Without turning his body around or stopping his footsteps, he shouted in reply, “I am a gentleman, so I will never bully those girls.”
Liu Meiqi pouted her lips and murmured, “Where are your gentlemanly characteristics in front of me? Every small thing you talk is about hooking up.”
There were only a few people left in the canteen. Lin Huai had a quick meal. After that, he walked toward the field. He called Wei Qimian, and once the line connected, he asked, “Mianmian, where are you?”
“I am in the dormitory. What’s up?”
“Oh, nothing much. Don’t forget that I am your personal bodyguard. So, you have to constantly report your position to me.”
“Tsk, then don’t you have to obey me all the time?”
“Well, technically speaking, as a bodyguard, I am only in charge of your personal safety. I am not your maid or a nanny… However, I am willing to do anything for you.”
“Such a flippant attitude,” Wei Qimian said in a joyous tone. She seemed to be very happy as she asked, “Oh right, how’s the matter coming along?”
“Shouldn’t be a problem. They shouldn’t be causing any problems for Dao Zi anymore. The rest of it depends on the Public Security Bureau.”
“That’s good. As long as nobody press charges, my father would be able to bail him out. However, this matter was blown up quite a bit and that might delay the entire process by another two days.”
“No worries. It’s all good as long as he is not sentenced. By the way, I have something to discuss with you tomorrow.”
“Oh? What’s the matter? You can’t tell me now?”
“Yup, I think it’s better to keep it till tomorrow.” Lin Huai wanted to continue chatting with her but he overheard Song Tingting’s voice through the phone. She was pestering Wei Qimian to hurry up and join them for poker. Thus, Lin Huai smiled and said, “Go ahead and play. It’s not urgent anyway. By the way, let me wish you goodnight first.”
“Alright, goodbye.”
Just before he hung up the phone, Lin Huai vividly heard Song Tingting’s voice over the phone, teasing, “Are you flirting with your Brother Huai over the phone? I heard you two discussing who should wear the pants. Gosh, you two are not even married, and you’re already talking about who would wear the pants.”
Wei Qimian replied shyly, “Shoo, shoo, stop talking nonsense. Are we still playing or what?”
Lin Huai grinned happily and felt a sweetness in his heart, as if he had just consumed honey. For some unknown reason, Lin Huai had never felt this way before in his life, and it was not as if he had no prior experience with women.
Lin Huai strolled happily to his dormitory. Just as he entered the ground floor entrance, he saw that the lobby and hallway was filled with a huge crowd. Most of these people were freshmen, and there were a handful of sophomores. Once Lin Huai walked in, all of them bowed respectfully and said loudly, “Greetings, Brother Lin Huai!”
Their voices were so loud that it caused the entire building to shake and tremble. Even students who were passing by the dormitory stopped and stared.
On this day, Lin Huai’s reputation reigned over the entire computer science major. Everybody bowed and respected him. He had officially become the number one leader of the computer science major!
