With a trembling voice, Zhang Chunlei said, “W-What do you want to do? There are so many people here. Keep in mind that if you try anything severe, you would spend the rest of your life in prison.”
Lin Huai smiled. “Don’t worry. I just thought of something that I did not ask your brother to do. Back then, I was soft-hearted. However, you get to taste it today.”
Lin Huai emphasized the words ‘taste it’. The words obviously had a deeper meaning. His face turned pale and he wanted to throw up when he realized what Lin Huai was going to do.
Zhang Chunlei roared like a mad man, “No way. No way. Hurry up, all of you, come and beat him up!”
Lin Huai dragged Zhang Chunlei off the ground and smiled. “One of your red canes has been sent to the hospital, and the other is already mine. Why are you still screaming like a madman? You think the rest of them will dare to face me off?”
Although Lin Huai looked like he was in bad shape, he still had the aura of a man in command. All the students stared at Lin Huai in fear.
Zhang Chunlei was also a smart person. Otherwise, he would not have cooked up the scheme to trick Dao Zi. Upon seeing that everyone had given up, he knew that even with his advantage in numbers, there was no way they could continue fighting. The fact was that one of the red canes had lost, and the other turned traitor, coupled with him held captive, he knew that all his henchmen had lost their fighting spirit. He knew that it was close to impossible to get them to continue fighting.
Zhang Chunlei’ paled. He was unwilling to accept defeat. However, he did something unexpected, and it shamed his henchmen. He looked at Zhang Dabiao, the disciplinary teacher who was walking toward them, and shouted, “Mr. Zhang, help me! Help me!”
Everyone was stunned. Other than the students who were usually bullied in school, no one else would look to the administration staff for help. Even Zhang Chunyu, Wu Jun, Wu Mengjie—people of their status would feel ashamed doing that. Yet, this time around, the big boss of computer science major had turned to an administration staff for help. All his henchmen could no longer hold their heads up.
Even Zhang Dabiao did not expect that to happen. He privately looked at Zhang Chunlei in disdain. However, he was still an administration staff of the college, and with such a huge event transpiring, he had big responsibilities. Thus, he had no time to scorn at Zhang Chunlei. Instead, he stared solemnly at Lin Huai and said, “Are you Lin Huai? Now that I am here, let go of him now!”
Lin Huai grinned. “Don’t worry, I will no longer be beating anyone up. However, there is something I have to bring Zhang Chunlei to tend to.
Zhang Dabiao frowned and felt unhappy. It was the first time someone publicly went against his orders. With a solemn voice, he said, “Lin Huai, maybe you don’t know who I am. I am Zhang Dabiao, the disciplinary teacher of this college. All matters of discipline in this college are under my jurisdiction. I have the authority to manage and punish any student, be it Zhang Chunyu or the group of bastards from the sports major. Nobody has ever dared to disobey my order. Therefore, put him down!”
Lin Huai laughed and looked around. He asked, “Oh, so you are in charge of the discipline in this college?”
Lin Huai was quite sarcastic about it. Yet, nobody dared to laugh. Everyone kept their heads down and the atmosphere was solemn. It was as if everything had become icy-cold and frozen. Zhang Dabiao’s face turned as black as a pig’s liver. Lin Huai had the nerve to mock him in public!
Zhang Dabiao took a deep breath and forcefully controlled his impulse to choke Lin Huai to death. His eyes widened, and with a gruff voice, he said, “You are testing my patience! Let him go, and both of you come with me to my office!”
“I can follow you to your office, but I really have something to settle first,” Lin Huai said with a smile. “Mr. disciplinary teacher, since we have something to discuss, can we make a move first?”
“I said no!’ Zhang Dabiao exploded with anger. He rushed toward Lin Huai.
Lin Huai stayed calm and tightened his grip around Zhang Chunlei’s throat. With a crackling sound, Zhang Chunlei’s mouth opened and his tongue dropped out. The color of his face turned as black as a pig’s liver, and his eyes were popping out. His facial expression was as scary as you could imagine.
Zhang Dabiao was shocked and quickly stopped in his tracks. He panted and looked extremely furious. However, he dared not move forward anymore. In a low voice, he said, “Lin Huai, I have never seen a student as daring as you are. You even got to the point of using a hostage to threaten me. Do you have any idea what you are doing? This could be very serious, or it could be nothing. It all depends on your next actions. If you let him go now, I will try my best to resolve this situation for you. Otherwise, you could end up in jail!”
Lin Huai said loudly, “Mr. disciplinary teacher, I do not need your help to resolve this situation. However, I do hope that you will help all the students and teachers in Yulan College to resolve this matter. Like you said, you are in charge of all disciplinary matters. In that case, who will resolve the situation with Teacher Pu Yingxue?”
Zhang Dabiao solemnly replied, “How dare you use such a tone to speak to me?”
Lin Huai said, “Based on our roles, you are the disciplinary teacher and I am the student. Thus, I should be respecting you. However, everything in this world comes down to logic and truth. Even if you are the disciplinary teacher, the only reason I should be respecting you is that I respect your character, not out of fear of you. Mr. disciplinary teacher, in order to earn my respect, tell me how you plan to resolve Teacher Pu Yingxue’s situation?
Zhang Dabiao had a gloomy look on his face. He said, “I will expel the students involved.”
Lin Huai laughed out loud. “They were guilty of attempted rape. Their only punishment is expulsion?”
“What else do you want?” Zhang Dabiao was furious. “I am the disciplinary teacher of the college, and I am responsible for maintaining the reputation of the college. That includes this current situation. Thus, as long as you let him go and keep the police out of this, your future will also have less hassles!”
Hu Zhiqiang whispered, “Lin Huai, obey the disciplinary teacher’s orders. Otherwise, if you are charged with involvement in a group fight, you will be locked up for at least a couple of days. You might even get expelled.”
Pu Yingxue shook her head at Lin Huai and whispered, “It’s okay. They admitted to their mistake and would receive their punishment. Let it go. Don’t destroy your future over this matter.”
“What kind of future do I need?” Lin Huai could not help but laugh. He looked pitifully at Pu Yingxue and said, “Although you are my teacher, I want to address you as Yingxue. In my heart, I consider you my friend. Your recent actions have even earned my respect. I was the one who encouraged you to manage these students and stop letting them rot. Now that something bad has happened, I take responsibility for it. If not for you, which teacher would dare to stand up for justice in the future? Which teacher would dare to manage these unruly students?”
There was a different glint in Wei Qimian’s eyes. She realized that Lin Huai was not the gangster he portrayed himself to be. Yet, this was the first time she realized that there was something about Lin Huai that stood out and radiated brightly.
Wei Qimian stood there with a lump in her throat. She held back the tears that threatened to flow when she thought of the sacrifices Lin Huai made for this school. She clenched her fists. This was the college my mother founded before she passed away and Lin Huai has already done so much for the college. Shouldn’t I be doing something to help as well?
Suddenly, Wei Qimian looked at Zhang Dabiao and gently said, “Mr. Zhang, I believe nothing else will happen. Allow Lin Huai to take Zhang Chunlei away. They are merely going to have a discussion.”
Zhang Dabiao was momentarily stunned and his eyes flickered. What happened next was certainly unimaginable. To everyone’s disbelief, he smiled and said, “Since they are merely going to have a discussion. Lin Huai may take him away. All the other students can leave. Why are you all still standing around? You all wish to continue fighting?”
Everyone was bewildered. Zhang Dabiao had such a bad temper. He was an uncompromising person, and the only person that could possibly control Zhang Dabiao was the principal. If it was anybody else, Zhang Dabiao would never compromise. Why was he so susceptible to suggestions today?
Other than Hu Zhiqiang the head teacher, all the other teachers found it unimaginable as well. Due to the sensitivity of the matter, only the disciplinary teacher, the principal, and her class teacher knew of Wei Qimian’s true identity. All the other teachers in the college had no idea.
Upon seeing everyone stunned and frozen in place, Zhang Dabiao glared at them and roared, “Why are you all still standing here?”
Everyone was afraid and left. Zhang Chunlei was dumbfounded. He shouted, “Disciplinary teacher, save me, save me!”
Zhang Dabiao whipped his head around and acted like he could not hear nor see anything. He closed an eye and allowed Lin Huai to drag Zhang Chunlei into the public restroom of the college.
There was nobody else in the restroom. Lin Huai grinned and said, “I believe you understand what I want you to do. Therefore, I shall not waste anymore time and jump straight into the agenda. Time for you to start eating sh*t!”
This was the public restroom next to the field. The structure was different from the other restrooms in the building. This restroom had wooden planks whereby you would squat and take a dump. The area beneath the wooden planks were filled with sh*t. There were even disgusting maggots around.
Just as Lin Huai was about to force Zhang Chunlei’s head down, Zhang Chunlei started throwing up. Tears, saliva, and snot gushed out at the same time.
Lin Huai smiled and said, “Take a deep breath and let me know how the smell is.”
“Let me go, Lin Huai, I am sorry. You may have the position of computer science major boss…”
“That’s not enough.” Lin Huai smiled. “I don’t actually have much interest in being a boss. I am different from you guys. You all want to be gangsters, whereas I’ve hated gangsters and thugs like you all my life. Right now, all I want is for you to eat sh*t. Oh, I don’t think you can reach anything from here. I will have to kick you down.”
Lin Huai completed his sentence with a kick on Zhang Chunlei’s buttock. Zhang Chunlei fell into the hole with his head facing down. It looked like he was about to fall into the pile of sh*t. His body was mid-air and who knew if the bottomless pit would drown him to death. When he thought of tomorrow’s news reporting the death of a guy by drowning in sh*t, he broke down and crumbled.
Just as his head was about to smash into the sh*t, Lin Huai suddenly grabbed both of his feet, smiling evilly as he said, “Once I let go, you would be able to enjoy and devour this meal of sh*t.”
Zhang Chunlei closed his eyes. Everything in his stomach wanted to spurt out. The choking and disgusting smell attacked him and caused him to tear up. His mind crumbled and tears flowed out uncontrollably.
“I will transfer to another college! I will leave this college!” Zhang Chunlei, the big boss of the computer science major, howled painfully.
Lin Huai pulled him back up. This man that used to oppress and dominate everyone in the computer science major was now kneeling on the ground. He was crying loudly and screamed, “Are you the devil?”
“No, I am just naughty.” Lin Huai was in fact very naughty. “I am a naughty person that specializes in dealing with bad people like you.”
