Lin Huai was not in a good mood. He replied flatly, “She is not your sister-in-law. Furthermore, I only want to prove my innocence.”
“Yup, you are right. You must prove your innocence,” Wu Jun said. “This incident completely ruined your reputation. Now, everyone at school thinks that you almost harassed Niu Haijiao. How was it possible for you to do such a thing? Besides, you are not blind. Niu Haijiao is not better looking than Wei Qimian, is she?”
Wu Mengjie was also outraged. For the past few days, Lin Huai’s reputation had indeed taken a beating. After all, rape and fighting did not belong on the same scale. They were two completely different matters.

Lin Huai was satisfied and signalled a thumbs up. At this moment, a waitress arrived to take their order. Lin Huai randomly ordered a few drinks and let the waiter leave. The four of them pretend to chat like normal people in a restaurant. Yet, in reality, they were secretly observing Xuan Yuzhai and Wei Qimian.
Xuan Yuzhai and Wei Qimian were sitting near the windows. Other than the two of them, there were two personal bodyguards standing behind Wei Qimian, sent by Wei Sihai to protect Wei Qimian.
Xuan Yuzhai had a polite and gentlemanly smile on this face. He said, “Mianmian, thank you for giving me face today.”
“You’re welcome.” Wei Qimian had a polite and natural smile on her face. She said, “I owe you. Therefore, this meal is my pleasure.”
“Don’t bother with pleasantries with me,” Xuan Yuzhai said with a slight smile. “Although we weren’t close in the past, I’ve known of you for a long time. We met during the first day of school. On top of that, after we walked past each other from opposite directions and brushed shoulders with each other, I realized that you were always on my mind. You look really beautiful today.”
Wei Qimian shook her head. She smiled and replied, “You are the prince charming of our school. Now, I only want to study hard, and I have not thought of getting into a relationship. I am sorry but I’m afraid I’ll have to let you down.”
“Haha, it’s fine.” Xuan Yuzhai acted nonchalant and smiled. “Actually, I take my studies very seriously too, even if the school discipline is in a mess now. After all, that year, Madam Wei built this school with her sweat and blood. I can’t help but feel some heartache at that.
Wei Qimian’s eyes were also filled with loneliness and sadness.
Xuan Yuzhai quickly said, “I am sorry, did I invoke any sad memories?”

The waitress acknowledged and left quickly. Yet, Lin Huai noticed that as Xuan Yuzhai was speaking to the waitress, he also sent her a secret signal with his eyes.
“Time to move,” Lin Huai said while looking at Pu Chengji. He said, “You are quicker. In a short while, look for an opportunity to switch the cups.”
Lin Huai’s gaze was focused on the waitress. Soon, he saw her appear, holding two cups of coffee. As she passed by his table, Lin Huai took the fruit juice from his table and “accidentally” spilled the fruit juice on the waitress’ body.
The waitress screamed. Petrified, Lin Huai stood up and apologized, “Sorry, sorry.”
Lin Huai quickly took the tray from the waitress and placed it on the table. He then produced two pieces of napkins from the napkin holder. As he helped her clean up, he said, “I am truly sorry. Just now, I thought you looked really familiar. You look like my cousin that went missing years ago. As I looked, my mind wandered off and I got careless. As such, I accidentally spilled the juice on you.”
“Ah? Cousin?” After the waitress took a good look at Lin Huai’s features, she blushed and her heart started thumping. This guy is really handsome.
Lin Huai used his body to shield the dining table behind him. In a serious voice, he said, “Yes, my cousin, whom I crushed on for many years. She moved out when I was in high school. The waitress had no clue that the two coffee cups were switched. She walked over and put Xuan Yuzhai’s coffee in front of Wei Qimian, and Wei Qimian’s coffee in front of Xuan Yuzhai. She then signaled to Xuan Yuzhai with her eyes, and told them to enjoy the drinks. Then, she left quietly.
Xuan Yuzhai gave Wei Qimian a slight smile. “The dishes will take a while. Let’s have some coffee first.”
“Sure thing.”
They chatted and time passed. Soon, both coffee cups were empty. Suddenly, five or six hooligans with colorful hair rushed into the restaurant from outside. As soon as they did, they had their eyes fixed on Wei Qimian’s face. Laughing loudly, they remarked, “Hey look, this chick is so beautiful. Let’s take her with us!”
According to the plan, a few hooligans should’ve been enough to keep Wei Qimian’s bodyguards busy, while the rest would beat Xuan Yuzhai up and carry Wei Qimian out of the restaurant. Wan Zitao would then ride in like the cavalry and save the day. The next step would’ve been easy. Wei Qimian was supposingly drugged. Under this type of condition, she’d be touched, and who knew what could follow?
The two of Wei Qimian’s bodyguards immediately turned around and faced off the hooligans. They did have pretty good skills. Xuan Yuzhai lay on the ground, his mouth, however, curled into an evil grin. The two hooligans sprinted out of the restaurant, and kept chasing.
At this point of time, a sedan car stopped by the side of the road. It was Wan Zitao’s grand entrance. He just got out of the car, saw the situation, and had a ‘stunned’ look on his face. Shocked, he cried out, “Isn’t that Miss Mianmian from the Wei family? Why are you all… f*ck, you are not allowed to hurt her!”
Both hooligans had their hands on Wei Qimian’s arms. Wan Zitao was beaming with heroic gallantry as he neglected his own safety. Rushing forward, he wrestled the two hooligans, getting punched a couple of times in the process. Half of his face was swollen and both the hooligans were knocked flat onto the ground.
“Damn it!” Wan Zitao swore, his heart full of curses. He had reminded Xuan Yuzhai to have his henchman land scanty punches on him. He hoped that would win him extra points with Wei Qimian. However, the opponents were ruthless with their punches. His face hurt a lot.
Nonetheless, the plan worked perfectly. All that remained was to bring Wei Qimian into the car and confess to her. Because Wei Qimian was already drugged, she would be in a daze and unconsciously… Hehe, tonight, this exceptional beauty would be mine!!!
