Lin Huai knew Li Liner caught feelings for him as it was obvious through their interactions in their daily life. However, he thought Li Liner was merely appreciative towards him and he had no idea she had fallen so deeply in love with him.
Lin Huai gently replied, “Liner, you are an adorable and beautiful girl so there would be few guys who wouldn’t fall for you. Thus, don’t think too much and have a good night’s rest alright?”
“You don’t like me, you just don’t like me…” Li Liner opened her eyes but it was clear she was drunk. “Brother Lin Huai, I can tell that you pity and sympathize with me. You are a great person and I am appreciative of your help. However, I don’t want your pity and sympathy… Actually I dare not think about having a relationship with you because there is no future for the two of us; I am not worthy of your love.”
Lin Huai’s heart ached. “You foolish girl. Why would you say something like that? Who said you are not worthy of my love? You are a great girl so you would be worthy to be with anyone you like!”
Li Liner sobbed and said, “I am not worthy of you. I know clearer than anyone else. I used to be a prostitute…”
Lin Huai’s heart ached; he really felt heartbroken. The more he felt, the more he hated Thunder God. If it hadn’t been for someone like him, Li Liner would not have been traumatised. Lin Huai took a deep breath and solemnly said, “Never think about yourself in that way. Do you understand? Never ever think about yourself that way! Li Liner sobbed and said, “T-Then why won’t you touch me all this why? I don’t need you to be responsible for me, I just want to accompany you for one night.”
Lin Huai sighed and gently replied, “Liner, I know you want to repay me but I don’t need you to do it in that way.”
“I am not just repaying you. I really love you,” Li Liner said as she suddenly leaned forward and kissed Lin Huai. They kissed and although Lin Huai wanted to push her aside, he couldn’t bring himself to do so. As a matter of fact, Lin Huai’s body was overcome with urge as well.
Li Liner was a beautiful girl. Lin Huai lived under the same roof as her so it was impossible for him to not catch feelings for her. However, like what Lin Huai had said, he was not able to take responsibility so he rather not hurt Li Liner. Being friends was pretty alright as well.
However, now that Li Liner took the initiative to kiss him, it brought out Lin Huai’s inner desire. Normally it was difficult for Lin Huai to admit he had no feelings for her and now that they were tipsy, he got more impulsive. A certain body part of his got erected and they breathed heavily as they hugged and kissed each other while rolling on the bed…
As Lin Huai sat on top of Li Liner, he noticed Li Liner’s eyes were shut and looked like she had fallen asleep. Suddenly, Lin Huai got to his senses and slapped himself softly on the face before getting off from Li Liner’s body.
Lin Huai could hear Li Liner breathing steadily and she had fallen asleep.
Lin Huai quietly got out of bed and sneaked into the bathroom. He took off his clothes and had a cold shower which freshened him up. The sexual urge he had also disappeared. Lin Huai knew he almost made a grave mistake. Despite knowing that Li Liner would be perfectly content even if they had sex, Lin Huai would feel a strong sense of guilt. Even if the day eventually came where they had sex, Lin Huai hoped it would happen when they were sober and in a clear state of mind.
Finally, he was done with his shower and after wiping himself dry, returned back to his room. He changed into pajamas before sneaking back into her room again. Since Lin Huai had promised that he would accompany her for the night, he planned to stick to his words.
Lin Huai quietly climbed into bed and lay next to Li Liner. He turned his body to face Li Liner and let out a smile as he glanced upon the cute and innocent look she had when she was asleep. Lin Huai no longer had the sexual desire. He merely stared at Li Liner in enjoyment as she was really beautiful, innocent and adorable. She was also extremely kind.
A girl like her would definitely be able to find a good husband someday in the future.

The both of them were asleep until the next morning. When Li Liner woke up, she rubbed her temple and was dumbfounded when she saw Lin Huai sound asleep in pajamas next to her. Then, she tried to recall what happened last night and everything came back to her. Even though she was drunk and her memories were in patches, she could vividly recall what happened between them last night.
She glanced down at her clothes and although it was a little disheveled, she was well-dressed. She heaved a sigh of relief but at the same time she was a little disappointed. She couldn’t stop herself from grumbling inwardly. I was so proactive last night, but why did Brother Huai still not touch me? Does he not have feelings for me?
That doesn’t seem like it. I could recall we almost had sex last night. Nonetheless, Brother Huai really is a great man that is hard to come by.

After dawdling around for ten minutes, Lin Huai also got up and changed out of his pajamas. He folded his pajamas and brought it back to his room before heading out to the kitchen.
“Good morning!”
“Morning.” Li Liner kept her head down as she made breakfast, clearly a little embarrassed.
Lin Huai felt like laughing. Li Liner was so passionate last night and now she is back to her cute and shy self. Both personalities belong to her but they were two distinctly different vibes; both of which were rather adorable. I am so tempted to tease her.
Lin Huai suddenly walked to Li Liner and gently hugged her by the waist from behind. Her body shuddered and she blushed, but even so, deep down, she was overwhelmed with anticipation.
Lin Huai leaned in close to Li Liner and whispered into her ears, “Liner, now that you are sober, I have to let you know, it’s not that I don’t have any lust for you but rather you are a kind girl and I would not want to touch you inappropriately. I don’t want to hurt you and also have sex without being certain I can take responsibility. Thus, don’t flirt with me anymore, alright?”
Lin Huai then let go of Li Liner. He wanted her to know she was an extremely attractive girl!
Lin Huai walked out of the kitchen while Li Liner’s heart was still thumping. Then, she stomped her feet and bit her lips as she thought to herself, I thought you were going to do something to me but turns out you only wanted to tell me this. Lin Huai had no idea that just because of what he said to prove Li Liner was attractive, he was misunderstood as flirting with her. As such, he was not prepared for the upcoming teasing of all kinds of the next few days.
Li Liner informed Lin Huai breakfast was ready and as they were eating, Lin Huai noticed she would glance at him with a baffling look for no apparent reason which made Lin Huai edgy. Li Liner finished her food first so she picked up her bag and said, “I am heading off to work first. Goodbye, Brother Lin Huai.”
“Goodbye.”
After Li Liner left, Lin Huai gobbled his breakfast and went to the bathroom to take a good look at himself in the mirror. That’s weird, I am no different from my usual look!
Lin Huai was a little confused. Ultimately he shook his head and put it at the back of his mind. He decided to head to the bar and check if there was any pungent smell left. If not, the bar could be officially open for business.

A guy with glasses who looked rather skinny said, “Are the issues the singers and signboards?”
