After Li Qianqian’s explanation, Lin Huai roughly understood the entire situation. Li Qianqian’s ex-boyfriend was called Liu Shuai. By the name alone, it was clear that he was a playboy. Li Qianqian smiled and said, “Even if you are a leech, I willingly allow you. What are you afraid of? Hurry up and change. I want to see how it looks on you.”
Lin Huai turned around and changed into the new clothes. He adjusted his collar while gasping in admiration. “Wow, I have to admit it does look good on me. I will just have to kindly accept your gift then. It makes me look really handsome.”
Li Qianqian pouted her lips, smiled and said, “This confidence you exude is exactly what I like about you.”
Lin Huai smiled and replied, “Don’t you think I’m a little too narcissistic?”
Li Qianqian chuckled. “Nope, you do look handsome!” Li Qianqian was unable to take her eyes off him. Suddenly she said, “To be honest, you are much better looking than him.”
Lin Huai’s heart ached. He leaped onto the bed, hugged Li Qianqian and said, “Don’t compare the two of us.”
Li Qianqian chuckled. “Okay. Are you getting jealous? Don’t worry, I no longer have feelings for him. I am just bitter.”
Lin Huai said, “Alright. That makes me feel way much better. Tonight I will let you release your anger. I will also make you proud and help you gain your reputation back.”

Li Qianqian sighed and in a faint voice said, “It’s not like I have a choice. Both of them made the decision because they just got engaged and wanted to invite everyone over for a short gathering.”
Lin Huai nodded and said, “Oh. So both of them are the star of the show. No wonder you said that they are the ones hosting tonight’s banquet.”
Li Qianqian snorted. “ Logically speaking, under such circumstances, they shouldn’t have invited me but somehow they did. They thought that I wouldn’t find out their intentions, huh? Of course I know that woman just wants to show off to everyone that she is better than me.”
Lin Huai gently kissed Li Qianqian on the forehead. He smiled and said, “Tonight they will find out that Qianqian is the best and her man is much better than them.”

Just as everyone was looking on in envy, a voice spoke up, “He does look pretty handsome.” The man in the suit walked over, glanced at Lin Huai and sneered. “However, he looks rather young. Is he around twenty years old? I am guessing he is still in college. Qianqian, I know back then when I broke up with you, you felt a little depressed. Guys naturally mature much later than girls. So at the end of the day is he taking care of you or the other way around?”
“Exactly.” The girl in the evening gown clung onto the man’s arms and smiled. “My husband is right. You have to be smart in picking a boyfriend. You cannot choose a man only based on their looks. Guys still have to have talent and be capable. After all, they are going to live with you for the rest of your life. Let me guess, he successfully courted you through sweet talk and wants you to take care of him in the future, right?”
By then, Lin Huai was certain that the both of them were the couple engaged in the illicit love affair that Li Qianqian mentioned. The man was called Liu Shuai and the woman Chou Sihan. On a closer look, Liu Shuai looked rather handsome and Chou Sihan was quite pretty as well. However, the arrogant and mean look on her face superseded her pretty looks. Therefore in comparison, her beauty was nowhere close to Li Qianqian.
Li Qianqian unhappily said, “What do you two mean?”
The classmates looking on from the side were stunned as well. Even if they had that thought, it was extremely disrespectful to say it to Li Qianqian’s face. How could they openly disgrace Li Qianqian in such a manner?

Despite her apology, it was clear that it was meant to bring up Li Qianqian’s past. Everyone felt the atmosphere getting tenser by the minute. Chou Sihan had taken things too far. However at the same time, they were curious about how Li Qianqian would react. Would she be unable to stand this and leave?
To their surprise, Li Qianqian smiled, “Fine, down a cup of alcohol as punishment then.”
Chou Sihan had meant to agitate Li Qianqian and she did not mean what she said. Thus, upon hearing Li Qianqian’s reply, she was stunned and muttered, “What?”
“Didn’t you say that you want to down this cup of alcohol as punishment?” Li Qianqian smiled. At the same time, she also took the initiative to pour a cup of white wine for Chou Sihan.
