The Extra Refuses Excessive Obsession - Chapter 7

***

At this point, we should explore the author’s mind.

Why on earth did Bastian is not specified that he has a Sister Complex just because he couldn’t care less about Amelia? Is he/she trying to screw me?

There is no real reason why Bastian ordered him to follow me if he really intended to kill the Knight Commander, who just followed in suit aloofly.

And as the only normal person, I had to put on a one-man show in tears to stop the two.

After all the persuasion and appeal I have done, Bastian decided not to kill the Knight Commander.

And Knight Commander Huon looked at me with a strangely touched face.

“Thank you for your mercy, Ms. Amel…no Ms. Sophie.”

I couldn’t get enough of the melody of Sophie. Either way, this guy or that guy doesn’t have a normal mindset.

I thought the case would end like that, but it was all a mistake.

It is because Bastian suddenly called the Chief of Justice of the Imperial Palace, saying he needed to know what exactly what I am doing.

Even if Bastian Cedric is the emperor’s childhood friend, as the Duke, is he even capable to use the palace staffs as he pleases? Until the henchmen started under the order of Bastian, he while laughed thinking so.

“Your Excellency, Duke Bastian Cedric is here.”

But they’re really here. In exactly three minutes, someone is really sent here.

Perhaps because he is a close childhood friend, the emperor sent Royal Family’s staff nonchalantly.

For that reason, I am now in the middle of a luxury duchy lying in his bedroom for a consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of the Imperial House.

“There’s no health problem at all.”

I nodded proudly with what the physician said.

Of course I am. How healthy and regular I lived in that country town. I eat a lot of vegetables, work at an inn, and build up my stamina.

While standing a little far from the bed, Bastian stared at me. He then grinned while sitting at the chair.

“Again.”

“I’m really fine.”

“Try again.”

I looked at Bastian shamefully, but it didn’t work.

“I earnestly asked His Majesty to send me the best imperial physician, but if you produce such a poor result, I would feel ashamed to see him again.”

Wow, look at those threats he said.

“Well, that’s.”

“So try again.”

The doctor examined me again, sweating profusely.

However, it is the same no matter how many times it was repeated.

“…I’m sorry, Duke, but the young lady really has no health problems.”

The doctor gave the exact results the twelfth time around.

He looked five years older than when he is first called the duke.

“Then why doesn’t she remember her brother?”

“That’s.”

“Try to convince me.”

He is on the verge of killing if the doctor isn’t capable to convince him. I sighed deeply because I couldn’t bear to see it.

“Brother Bass.”

I spit it out but shivered due to the title I have voiced out.

Bastian had a cute pet name for a psychopath.

‘Brother Bass. It is said that only Amelia could call him like that.’

That’s why this crazy man tried to cut off the head of the knight because his sister, whom he finally met after five years, didn’t call him his brother.

It is clear at this point. Bastian is already out of his mind.

“That’s enough.”

“….”

“I’m really fine.”

A gentleman then stepped in between us.

“I’m sorry, Young lady, but there seems to be another reason why she had amnesia.”

“What?”

No, mister, now that we’re here? As I looked at the chair in the stupor, I coughed and murmured in a crawling voice, “There’s no time to talk…”

Are you effing kidding me?

“I believe that she is in a great shock of the same place where she went missing.”

I was shocked too. When I woke up, I transmigrated in a novel.

“I think the shock caused both of her aura and had memory loss.”

“Damage to her aura?”

“Yes, it doesn’t happen very often. It’s amazing that the Young Lady is alive and well.”

Does the damage to the aura mean Amelia died and I came into this body?

Unlike me, who is rather surprised, Bastian said nothing.

“Usually, if an aura is damaged, it’s a serious condition, or it’s a common death but the Young Lady is not physically ill. It’s really a strange thing.”

…I guess he’s right. Oh no. The doctor who never knew what is going on inside of me calmly continued.

“In this case, it’s difficult to treat it in a normal way, thus you have to use a different way… and that’s a little difficult, sir.”

“What do you mean?”

“Young Lady’s condition is the kind of thing that modern medicine can’t accurately diagnose.”

Only damaged aura and missing memories should be restored without touching the body, but Bastian’s eyes narrowed when he said it is virtually impossible.

“So, does that mean there’s no other way?”

Bastian asked in soft tone.

However, unlike his gentle voice, his eyes glimmered fiercely.

“Well, there’s only one way. But for now, there’s only one person on the continent who’s available, and willing to cooperate.”

The doctor looked into Bastian’s countenance, blabbing his words . He does seemed quite frightened.

“That’s nothing for you to worry about, so tell me.”

Bastian spoke in a softened voice.

The doctor then replied with hesitation.

“It is a sorcerer living on the west continent.”

“A sorcerer?”

“Yes, he/she is a person who uses mysterious power, not magic or tricks.”

“Hmm.”

“But he’s been around for almost a hundred years now, and he’s very prickle and cruel. Even if you reach him, it is unclear whether he will do favors.”

“Most of all, he’s not an Imperial citizen, so I need permission from the Emperor to come into contact to him.”

I had to tilt my head with a strange sense of Deja vu.

I’ve heard this a lot before. Where did I hear that again?

“Do you know any distinction of him?”

“I’ve heard that he has bizarre crimson eyes and pitch-black hair.”

The doctor’s reply made me blank as if someone had hit my head really hard.

“…Wow.”

God, why did I forget about him.

Crimson eyes and black hair. There is only one person in this world who had that appearance.

My head went blank when I realized that I had come to me.

‘Carlys Erkadane.’

It was the name of the villain who appeared bored in the second half of the novel.

At this point, there are two kinds of villains in this novel.

The villainous rascal behind the scenes, and the villain who says, “I’m the bad guy.”

Among them, Bastian was the former, and Carlys is the latter.

If Bastian is the suffering and other adversity of the main characters, Carlys is a disaster itself.

He lived on the western continent, which belonged to any other nation, and there is no animal, let alone a single person, around the castle.

The reason is simple.

Because Carlys killed every life he saw because they are so annoying.

“I’ve heard rumors, too, but the people who saw him said in unison that he had a inhumane appearance. Maybe it’s because of the magic, but he hasn’t aged in decades.”

Of course, he isn’t, because Carlys is born with a blood of God. Half God, half a dragon tribe. He is both beautiful and powerful. The problem is that he used that kind of power on his disposal.

As a fragmentary example, 600 years ago, he blessed a South Continent because he is bored, and the following year he destroyed it with his own hands. The reason is that I don’t really want to see him. What a sorcerer, man who has a crazy personality wreck.

In that sense, Carlys is even more crazy than Bastian.

‘Cause my bloodline doesn’t kill people for fun.

Most crucially, “It would be better get in touch with him.”

Duke Bastian joins hands with Carlys in the second half of the novel and destroys the continent in half.

Bastian is devastated by the failure of his first murder and loses his temper after his plan to detain Trisha goes down the drain.

This time, he made a plan to destroy the Royal Fortress, and in the process, he visited Carlys.

After waking up for a long time and feeling bored, Carlys shows great interest in Bastian, who came to the castle with his limbs intact.

And hearing Bastian’s suggestion, he replied:

“Just in time, I am bored.”

It is a moment when these two crazy guys met and showed jeopardy.

After that, it is rather obvious. The two lunatics ruin the entire capital, as well as the Royal Castle.

Not getting enough of it, the two of them, they did that to two continents.

But now that I’m back, it’s normal not to go all the way to the catastrophe, why is his name coming out of here?

“Come on, hold on!”

I grabbed the blanket in a hurry and shouted.

Member for Bastian and the eyes of the House are on me.

“I don’t think I need to remember. I’m healthy enough and I’m fine!”

At any cost, I must prevent Carlys from meeting my brother.

I don’t want to die.

“He’s a dangerous man. Do we really need to recover my memories?”

“Amel.”

“The most important is that I have met you Brother Bass than remembering anything. It’s enough for me to come back home. Don’t you think so, Doctor?

I then gave the doctor a desperate look. I’m asking him to agree with me. But Bastian is a little faster.

“My lovely sister, Amel.”

He sat on the bed and tucked my hair behind my ear. It was a friendly touch.

“And you always get worried about your family.”

“…….”

“You still look after me, not yourself.”

No, I’m not trying to buy any of it.

“But you don’t have to do that anymore. No matter what anyone says, you’re the most precious thing to the duchy.”

His expression is so smooth.

I think this guy is thinking of something different than mine.

“Well, brother Bass. I mean.”

“Don’t worry, I’ll get the sorcerer in front of you somehow.”

At the moment, something flashed at Bastian’s blue eyes.

“Even by cutting off his hands and feet.”

…Mom, he’s eyes is definitely bad.
