He drew a picture using his sister as a model, then he put down his pencil. He lay in bed and went to sleep.

The next morning, Xia Yu woke up and saw the time.

It was only 5 a.m. He usually got up at 7:30 a.m.

He woke up earlier since he wasn’t sleepy anymore.

The sleep he got after his body was controlled by the system was also counted as his sleep.

It’d be easier now. He could use the eight hours of game time to do homework, sleep, and save lots of time.

While playing with his phone in bed, he heard the door being opened and a low coughing sound.

His father, Xia Dongyang, came back.

Xia Dongyang was a bum when he was younger; he never had a real job. He was working at a bar at night these days.

It was convenient that he liked to drink. He always drank at the end of his shift.

Good thing the bar owner was his classmate, and the liquor was at a cost, or his salary wouldn’t

even pay for his drinking.

Clang—

A loud noise came from the door; someone seemed to have fallen.

Xia Yu didn’t bother looking. Xia Dongyang was a college graduate. A college graduate with such a pathetic life in the modern world couldn’t be a good person.

Now that the man was older and weaker, it was better. In the early years, when Xia Yu was younger, he was lectured a lot by his dad.

“Youxue! Youxue!” Xia Dongyang seemed to have fallen hard as he yelled out the name of Xia Yu’s younger sister.

Five years earlier, he’d shout Xia Yu’s name at such moments. After Xia Yu beat him, he started calling for Youxue.

“Where the h*ll are you? Come help me up!” There were noises of him falling to the floor.

After 10 seconds, Xia Yu heard a door open. It was his sister.

“Get the h*ll over here! How are you sleeping when I haven’t slept?! How dare you!”

Xia Youxue seemed to be freaked out as she shouted something.

Xia Yu got off the bed and opened his door.

Xia Dongyang’s voice stopped instantly. He looked at Xia Yu and said in a low voice, “It’s only right that a daughter helps her dad get up.”

Xia Yu ignored him and looked at his sister, “Youxue, my room is messy, come help me.”

“Help me up first!” Xia Dongyang insisted.

Xia Yu pounded the wall. His father shut up.

Xia Yu gingerly walked past his father. Youxue came to his room.

He closed the door and looked at his sheepish-looking sister, who was in her nightgown.

He reached out and touched her face.

Youxue was pretty and likable. She was in 7th grade. If she was in another family, she would have lived like a princess.

“Brother.” Youxue sounded pitiful.

“Go sleep,” Xia Yu said.

After Xia Dongyang got drunk, he wouldn’t pass out right away. He’d mess around for at least another hour. If Youxue left Xia Yu’s room, she’d be in trouble.

Xia Dongyang wasn’t drunk daily. Today, he probably had a fight with a customer at the bar.

He wasn’t able to do much but had a lot of pride.

After smiling at Xia Yu, Youxue crawled into bed.

Looking at Xia Yu, who was in front of his desk, she asked, “You aren’t sleeping?”

“I slept early last night. I can’t sleep anymore,” Xia Yu answered. “Get some sleep.”

“OK.” Youxue closed her eyes.

After drawing a bit and thinking about the body swap game, Xia Yu turned to look at his sister’s sleeping face.

Compared to the happy and comfortable family in his previous life, his current life was unfortunate, although there was some fortune in the misfortune.

And that is his adorable and lovely sister.

Xia Yu, who was not sociable in his previous life, never knew a girl who was so likable like his sister.

He was an only child in his past life, so he never had a sibling.

When he first traveled into this life, he had made some goals, like becoming a millionaire, a renowned intellectual, or a hot guy, etc., and helping his sister live a happy life.

Too bad he didn’t have any business experience, nor any outstanding talent, and his face was just a little handsome.

Maybe he could have done better than his previous life, but probably not much. Without any family support, he’d have had to work harder.

He’d believed this before yesterday. But now, he had the body-swap game.

Last night, his improvement in drawing really amazed An Siyao. According to the girl, his improvement in one night would have had taken her a whole week.

And she practiced more than eight hours a day.

If he kept going like this, perhaps becoming an artist whose work sold for millions wouldn’t be impossible.

This was only Drawing Skill Lv 1, there must be a Lv 2.

A wonderful future was within reach

That was in the future, however, today, he was still a poor guy who needed to work at a convenience store to save money for a notebook computer.

He sighed and picked up his phone to browse some chat rooms.

After two hours, Youxue got up from Xia Yu’s bed. She made the bed and left the room to make breakfast.

At 7:30 a.m., Xia Yu began to wash up. He had breakfast with Youxue, and they headed to the subway.

Their schools were in different directions. Xia Yu’s was in the east and Youxue’s was in the west. The train heading east arrived first. He waved goodbye to Youxue and got on the train.

Eight a.m. was peak travel time, so the subway was very crowded.

In five minutes, he got off the subway. There was some distance between the subway station and the school, which he walked.

If only he had a bicycle. He wouldn’t need to be on a crowded subway or walk under the sun.

Still, having a notebook computer was more crucial than a bicycle.

If he had all the money he needed, it’d be even better.

Xia Yu arrived at the school entrance at 8:20 a.m.

The world was already united. There were various districts relative to the countries. Xia Yu lived in a district with the most Chinese residents.

While there was a competition between districts, it wasn’t fierce, so the national policy was relatively relaxed.

In education, their country was similar to Singapore, the second-largest Chinese country in his previous life. Every day, classes started at 8:40 a.m. and ended at 2:40 p.m. The rest of the time can be used for extracurricular activities or at home.

The classes were simpler too.

Of course, his school was a public one. Some of the expensive private schools had more work than the ones in Xia Yu’s previous life.

Elites were chosen for intensive education, while the other students were educated less rigorously. There were only so many jobs that required elites. A filing clerk who read “Capital” was the same as a filing clerk who read “Harry Potter.” There was no need for making elites out of the whole society.

After going inside his classroom, Xia Yu spent a distracted day, then he packed up and went to his job.

While he had the body-swap game, he still needed money. He couldn’t lose this job.

If the pianist plans didn’t work out, it’d be hard to find another easy job like this one.

At 5:30 p.m., he did the job transfer. Then, he got back to his bedroom and started the game again.

After the darkness faded, a tall and slim vase appeared. A bunch of flowers was beside the vase.

He had a single flower in his left hand and a pair of scissors in his right.

Was he… flower arranging?

“Miss?” The maid next to him reminded him.

“En.”

He answered dismissively and looked at the flowers he held.

I don’t know how to arrange flowers!
