The car seemed to go crazy and flew out, scaring the security guards into fleeing in a panic. Standing in front of the window on the second floor, Qiao Yushan watched them in a complicated mood.

She didn’t know why her grandfather would force herself to marry him. She thought, ‘I’m his biological granddaughter. Am I less important than Su Han? What’s so good about him?’

Qiao Yushan knew that her sister was just deliberately trying to teach Su Han a lesson now. She initially wanted to dissuade her but after thinking about it, she decided to just let Yuman be. It was a good thing that she could stand up for her too.

Qiao Yuman was like a demon who stepped on the gas pedal rhythmically while the stereo in the car boomed. Her unique outfit made her look like a gangster.

Su Han sat in the passenger seat without moving an inch. He merely frowned slightly, feeling that someone was amiss as he sat in the car.

Su Han took a casual glance and quickly discovered something but he merely smiled without saying anything.

“I really couldn’t tell that you’d actually be engaged to my sister.” Qiao Yuman hummed a tune and glanced at Su Han nonchalantly. “You’ve really gotten a great advantage!”

Su Han merely smiled, still remaining silent.

He knew that regardless of what he said, Qiao Yuman would definitely retort with a hurtful and harsh remark. Since she was out to spite him, he decided that he might as well keep his mouth shut and remain quiet.

Seeing that Su Han wasn’t answering her, Qiao Yuman began to get a little bored. She humphed coldly and sped to the entrance of a bar.

She got out of the car with a fleeting glint of cunningness that flashed in her eyes. She suddenly held onto Su Han’s hand affectionately and exclaimed smilingly, “Come on, Brother-in-law, I’ll take you to the bar!”

As she spoke, she dragged Su Han into the bar without giving him the chance to reject.

As soon as they entered the bar, the colorful light blinded Su Han and he subconsciously reached out to block his eyes. Seeing this, Qiao Yuman humphed and asked with a smile, “Hey, bumpkin, you haven’t been to a bar before, have you?”

‘How can a man like him who has never even been to a bar before, be fit enough to marry my sister?’

Qiao Yuman ignored Su Han and instead, walked straight to a private room in the bar, which she was familiar with. She was even more at ease and casual here than she was at home.

Su Han shook his head and was just about to say something but decided not to. There was nothing he could say now. Since Qiao Yuman wanted to take him out to explore, she would probably be enraged if he were to reject and ask to leave now.

He followed Qiao Yuman into the private room, which was so noisy and loud that he almost turned deaf.

There were cigarettes, beer, and a few provocatively-dressed women who were accompanying a few young people who seemed to be high school students. They began exclaiming when they saw Qiao Yuman entering.

“Yuman, you’re finally here!”

“Come on, our Goddess Yu Man is late so she has to down a couple of drinks!”

Qiao Yuman didn’t pay any attention to Su Han at all and walked straight to the sofa. She pursed her lips and a woman who was dressed flamboyantly, walked away immediately to give up her seat to Qiao Yuman.

Qiao Yuman sat down casually with great nonchalance. She picked up a bottle of alcohol from the table and said, “Haha, since I’m late, I have to punish myself by drinking. Is one bottle enough?”

“No! Given your liquor level, you have to chug at least three bottles. It’s Wu Hongwei’s birthday today. How can you be late?” The few of them started clamoring and coercing Qiao Yuman to drink. “Three bottles! You must drink three bottles of liquor. Goddess Yuman, you have to do us this honor, don’t you!?”

Seeing that someone had already opened three bottles of wine and placed them in front of Qiao Yuman, Su Han frowned slightly.

Qiao Yuman was still an underage student. Yet, she had the guts to drink.

Drinking at this age would be detrimental to her health and he didn’t know how long Qiao Yuman had been keeping up with this lifestyle. He wondered, ‘Does Qiao Yushan not take her in hand at all?’

“Yuman, you’re still young, go easy on the alcohol.”

Su Han looked at Qiao Yuman and said solemnly, “Too much alcohol is bad for your health. Being young is not a reason to indulge yourself.”

As soon as he spoke, everyone in the private room fell silent and a fashionably dressed man turned off the music. With his head tilted upwards and his thick eyebrows raised, he glanced at Su Han before turning around to look at Qiao Yuman. He asked, “Yuman, who’s this guy?”

Everyone looked disdainfully at Su Han and his tacky clothing.

“This guy? He’s my brother-in-law. Although he didn’t graduate from college, he’s now a houseman in my family’s hospital.” Qiao Yuman pursed her lips and casually introduced him.

Her tone was also filled with disdain because she was extremely dissatisfied with this brother-in-law of hers. She had brought him here with the intention of letting her friends humiliate him badly!

She wanted him to realize the massive gap between him and her sister so that he would give up sooner!

Qiao Yuman humphed and the few other people immediately understood what she meant. They began bursting into laughter, especially after hearing that he hadn’t even graduated from college.

However, they were also surprised and bewildered that a college dropout who needed to rely on connections to get a job, would be Qiao Yuman’s brother-in-law.

They thought that it must be a joke because everyone knew that “Big Qiao”, Qiao Yushan, was a stunning beauty who was high up in the air and had countless suitors. Her beauty was unparalleled and she was put on a pedestal by many who saw her as a goddess. How could she possibly fall for a person who has such an ordinary appearance?

“Yuman’s brother-in-law, do you know how much a bottle of wine here costs?” A man stood up with a smile on his face, which seemed very unfriendly.

He picked up a bottle of wine on the table and knocked it gently with his finger. “You can’t afford it even with your annual internship salary.”

As soon as the man said that, the others began guffawing loudly.

“Wu Hongwei, how can you say that? He’s at least Yuman’s brother-in-law after all. It’s no big deal for her sister to give him some allowance to get some drinks.” Hearing Wu Hongwei deliberately humiliate Su Han, the others chimed in too.

On the other hand, Qiao Yuman remained seated without moving an inch. Although she was a little uncomfortable when she heard them mention her sister, she didn’t say anything because she wanted Su Han to be taught a lesson.

Su Han looked at the man with a slight frown but he ignored him.

Money was just a number to him. As long as he wanted to earn money, many people would be willing to offer him money with both hands.

He glanced at Qiao Yuman, and nevertheless said, “Yuman, your sister is going to be worried about you coming out here to drink. You’d better head home early.”

“Hehehe, what do you mean? Yuman is my friend and I asked her to come here. Is she supposed to leave just because you tell her to?” Wu Hongwei humphed coldly, walked towards Su Han, and reached his finger out to poke his chest. He looked at Su Han condescendingly and said in disdain, “If you can’t afford the wine here, just leave!”

A fleeting, icy cold gaze flashed in Su Han’s eyes and he looked at the finger that was poking him. He said indifferently, “Move your finger away.”

Wu Hongwei chuckled and said with even more disdain, “What? Are you angry? You’re threatening me, huh? Yuman, your brother-in-law is so scary!”

He deliberately put on an exaggerated expression, which made everyone else laugh out loud and mock Su Han. He wished that they would all go forth and humiliate Su Han, a hillbilly who failed to graduate from college and even had to rely on connections to get a job.

“Let me tell you, people like you can never reach the starting point of any of us here, regardless of how hard you work. Punk, it’s important to have self-awareness!” Wu Hongwei squinted and stared at Su Han disdainfully..
