Temptation Only You Don’t Know - Chapter 6

Chapter 6: I don’t mind sharing a room

TL: Liz

PR: Neko and May

A huge body so big that one might think it would get stuck in the door frame came pounding at the door.

“You son of a bitch!”

Pessini’s eyes turned into triangles when he found the intruder. Iska could clearly see that the veins were bulging on the back of Pessini’s thick hand that held the axe.

“Long time no see.”

Pessini’s forehead grew tense at the nonchalant greeting.

“You have a death wish, don’t you?  How dare you show up here!”

‘It’s annoying…’

Iska, who was crouching on the window frame, sighed with his arms crossed over his lap.

In Iska’s eyes, it was as if a large dog was barking without fear.

‘Do I have to take this?’

Instead of responding to Pessini’s fury, Iska sent a signal asking Lavella for help.

“Pessini.”

Whether Iska’s plea was delivered, Lavella, who was standing leaning against her desk, clicked her tongue and straightened herself.

“Captain! I’m gonna rip his head off this time!”

“Isn’t it too late to stop an intruder?”

“Well, that’s…”

Embarrassed and stabbed in his heart, Pessini rolled his eyes like an innocent deer.

“And put that away. He’s our colleague now.”

“…Huh?”

While Pessini had a puzzled expression on his face, Lavella. pushed down the ax blade and unfolded the contract that had been rolled up in front of Pessini’s eyes.

“As of today, he’s a member of our guild.”

“What?”

Pessini’s mouth was agape. She was worried that his jaw might fall off.

“Take good care of me, Hairy.”

Iska raised one hand and waved softly at the sharp gaze that reached him.

“Wa-wa-wa-what!”

Pessini, who was looking for something to say while the tension was high, suddenly fell forward with a scream of death.

“Why are you blocking the entrance?”

Excited, Argen reached out his foot and kicked Pessini’s ass and stepped inside.

“Oh, Captain! What’s going on? I heard you had a visitor.”

“I’m glad you’re here, everyone.”

Lavella quickly rolled up the contract and sealed it as if she was afraid someone would steal it.

“Wow, that’s a pretty face, isn’t it?”

Argen, who saw Iska step down from the window frame, openly showed his curiosity.

“!”

Although Canpiden had seen Iska before he was still a little surprised, but he soon accepted it as if he knew this would happen.

Lavella, who coveted talented people, couldn’t just let him, who dealt with Pessini so easily, go.

“Captain, I can’t approve of this!”

However, Pessini, whose face was shaking with a scowl, hit the ax handle on the floor to express his dissatisfaction.

“Pessini, be quiet. You know each other’s faces, don’t you?”

Lavella, who shut up Pessini at once, looked at the group alternately.

“Let me introduce you formally. This is Iska. I brought him here especially.”

Lavella emphasized the word ‘special’, so Pessini, who was still furious, could not complain any further.

“Iska, that hairy one you crossed with is Pessini. The tall one here is Canpiden, and that red haired one is Argen.”

“Nice to meet you. Please take care of me.”

At Iska’s friendly smile, Canpiden only nodded, and Argen smiled and waved.

“By the way, the fact that you brought him yourself must mean he’s pretty good, right?”

Argen’s curious eyes scanned Iska’s beautiful face.

“Ah, I guarantee it. He avoided all my attacks.”

“!”

Contrary to Lavella’s grinning face who was laughing, the other guild members became stiff.

“Haha. How do you feel about actually making it out alive?”

Iska, who read the atmosphere, waved his hands in humility.

“…I’m curious about your talent. Can I trust you to handle a big request?”

In Argen’s mind, he was already thinking of all kinds of ways that Iska could bring wealth to the guild.

“As much as you want.”

“I like your personality. Let’s get along”

As Iska shrugged, Argen quickly reached out.

“Argen, I need you to take him around and explain everything to him.”

Lavella, who was pleased to see them shake hands lightly, ordered.

“All right, Captain. Come on, Iska.”

“…….”

Iska was a little disappointed to see Lavella pass him on without hesitation, but silently followed Argen.

“Goodbye.”

Whether or not she knew Iska’s mind, Lavella saw them off with a smile.

‘He said a lot of money……’ Her golden eyes looking at Iska seemed to look like gold coins for a moment.

I don’t know if that bright smile was the same person who wielded a sword and let me live.

‘……It’s attractive.’

Iska swallowed a smile and walked out of the office.

Pessini glared at the disappearing back.

* * *

“This is the best fortress in terms of location, isn’t it?”

Argen, who had been walking before, showed a proud expression.

“That’s right.”

Iska was easily convinced. It was what he thought when he infiltrated the Guild.

The guild, located in the middle of the mountains slightly distant from the surrounding villages, was hiding in such a secret place that Iska, who knew the way, still wandered.

“There’s everything in this building, the office, the restaurant. Oh, if you can, try to eat while others are eating. Otherwise, the chef gets annoyed. The building next door is the lodging.”

Argen strode through the building and quickly explained.

“This is the training facility.”

“Training facility?”

There’s a training facility in the guild? Were they planning to build a military force?

Iska laughed as if he was having fun. There were about a dozen men training in the broad room.

“You know, our guild doesn’t accept just anyone. It’s the Captain’s policy to only bring in talented people and make them better.”

<Lavella: “If you put people together on the pretext of training, it makes them live as if they’ll kill each other……Then, it’s thrilling to watch.”>

The Captain seemed to have a different meaning, but Iska did not mention it.

“I explained everything…… Oh! You’re supposed to decide your own room. The first floor is already full, so I’ll give you a second floor room.”

“It doesn’t matter.”

“Okay, it’s the room at the top of the second floor of the lodging building. I’ll see you again when a request is made.”

Argen, who pointed to the window of the lodging building, headed back to the building where the office was located as if his business was done.

Iska, who was left alone, began to tour the inside the guild in a relaxed manner.

‘It grew this much in just a year.’

Iska had been deeply impressed many times. It was surprising that, despite its large scale, it was managed fairly systematically.

Was this all Lavella’s work? It was very interesting.

Looking back at the guild, the sun was already about to set. After thoroughly examining every corner of the place, Iska belatedly moved to his room.

‘It was the last room, right?’

Iska climbed the wooden stairs, passed the doors on either side of the corridor and opened the last door without hesitation.

“!”

However, where it was supposed to be vacant, there was already a person. Platinum blonde hair scattered over the hand pulling up and taking off the tunic. It was Lavella.

“…What?”

“…….”

Lavella frowned at the uninvited guest. The embarrassed Iska stopped and stared at Lavella.

Her skin, which he saw unintentionally, was breathlessly beautiful to see.

The sunset dyed on the white skin that looked as if it had been sprinkled with white pearl powder.

“……Are you going to keep standing there? Why don’t you come in or close the door and leave?”

Lavella threw the clothes she was holding onto the table, and picked up the new clothes. She mumbled calmly as she tucked her head into the new clothes.

‘You’re not even surprised?’

She wasn’t even conscious of him being a man at all. Lavella’s calm response made him angry.

“Argen gave me this place.”

Iska, who came to his senses belatedly, coughed in vain.

“Oh, did you get this room? Sorry. I was alone on the second floor, so I’ve been using any room I wanted to. Are you going to use this room? Can you step aside?”

“…No, it’s okay.”

“Use the room next door, then. The sun shines nicely there.”

Maybe it was because she considered that they were alone now that she spoke in a rather gentle tone.

“…….”

After a moment of contemplation, Iska chose to enter the room.

Iska leaned against the closed door.

“…What?”

Lavella turned her head to the side and looked at Iska in wonder.

“Come to think of it, I don’t mind sharing a room.”

Lavella, who remained still at Iska’s words, began to giggle belatedly.

“Get out while I’m being nice.”

Then, Lavella, who quickly changed to a cool face, grabbed a sharp dagger as if she would throw it right away.

“Goodnight, Lavella.”

Iska burst into laughter at her sudden change and then smoothly opened the door and left.

* * *

A faint darkness fell on Iska’s face lying on the bed.

“Maybe I picked the wrong room.”

Iska jumped up and sat down as if he couldn’t stand the fact Lavella’s presence was on the other side of the wall.

The fact that the woman who could kill anyone if she wanted to, made him one of hers. It had to be because she either decided to trust him or she had some other purpose. Either way, he liked it.

“…Is it hot?”

As the heat on his body did not go away, Iska moved to the window. The beautiful naked body he saw a little while ago would not leave his mind.

‘Is this what it’s like to be possessed?’’

[According to those who have seen them1, their beauty felt so unrealistic it made them feel like they were dreaming. They have blonde hair and eyes that resemble moonlight, and glowing skin that looks like powdered pearls were sprinkled on it…]

Iska blinked as he recalled what he had read in an ancient book a long time ago.

Perhaps the goddess of the night was blessing her. A golden moon resembling her hair and eyes began to appear in the dim sky.

Iska sighed heavily.

He bet she didn’t care. It was annoying that he was the only one conscious about this.

“That’s not going to work.”

Iska jumped through the window due to the heat that seemed unlikely to cool down.

He thought it would get better if he moved his body.

It was time for Iska to wander around and head to the training ground.

“Hey, new guy.”

Thick hands pressed Iska’s shoulder.

“…Did you call me?”

Iska looked back with a cold face. The owner of the hands, which were covered in hair, was Pessini.

“Who else is there besides you? New. You. Don’t act all stuck up just because the Captain brought you here herself.”

“Hmm?”

Iska burst into laughter. Seeing Pessini come to him to quarrel, his purpose was obvious.

“Why did the Captain bring such a corrupt guy? I don’t understand.”

Pessini looked over at Iska, unsatisfied.

“Do you want to personally confirm why I was brought here?”

Iska twisted the corners of his mouth and bowed his head towards Pessini.

“Oh good, I’ll make you regret it.”

Someone said something. It was a tough fight but he took it well.

Iska licked his lips with the tip of his tongue when he saw Pessini triumphantly apply pressure to his shoulders.

* * *

“Huh? Where is everyone?”

Lavella’s nose wrinkled. It was clear that it was still dinner time, but the restaurant was empty.

‘It smells like food….’

She went into the kitchen, but Lavella couldn’t see anyone busy cooking.

“What’s going on?”

It was when Lavella walked out of the restaurant again.

“Hey, who are you going to bet on?”

“Of course, on Pessini.”

“I think I’ll bet on the new guy.”

“Isn’t that a risky gamble?”

“The Captain brought him in herself.”

“Really? Should I bet on the new guy, too?”

The conversation of the guild members, who were in a hurry to walk, flew into Lavella’s ears.

“Hey, you there.”

“Hiik.”

“Captain.”

The faces of the men who stopped at Lavella’s call and looked back turned white as if they had seen a ghost.

“What were you talking about just now?”

Lavella crossed her arms and asked.

“Oh, well….”

The two men scratched their heads and looked at each other. It seemed that they didn’t know if they could be honest with Lavella.

“Tell me quickly. Don’t you know I’m in a hurry?”

The man on the left of Lavella stood at attention with a face that was embarrassed.

“We’re on our way to the training facility.”

“Why the training facility?”

She was sure they were done with their training. Lavella asked with a look of incomprehension.

“I heard that Pessini and the new guy are playing.”

“…What?”

Lavella’s response, which came a beat late, flustered the men.

“These things….”

Lavella made a big impression and spat out. At the same time, the men’s shoulders shrank even more.

Oh, why did we get caught? We’re not even the ones who are fighting.

The men felt it was unfair. They were suddenly afraid of getting scolded by Lavella.

“You’re doing such a fun thing without me? Let’s go quickly.”

“Yes…Yes?”

“What are you doing, aren’t you coming?”

“Yes, yes!”

The pace of Lavella, who thought she would miss an important scene, automatically sped up.
