Yu Chu helped him inside and placed the food on the table. She asked casually, “Where is your bedroom?”
The man leaned against her, placing half of his weight upon her. He fell silent briefly before replying softly, “On the second floor. The room right at the end.”
Yu Chu supported him as they ascended the stairs. She asked him curiously,
“Do you stay alone?”
After she asked, she felt that it seemed inappropriate. Hence, she grinned shyly and blurted, “Sorry, I…”
“It’s fine.” The young man pressed his lips together quietly. “I’m here alone.”
“Oh…” The girl nodded as she tried her best to help him to his bedroom. She grabbed a pillow and placed it on his bed before she pressed him down on it. Then, she pulled a blanket over him before she straightened her back. “Where is your medicine? I’ll get it for you.”
When she raised her head, her eyes met a pair of inky black whirlpools. He was leaning against a soft white pillow. His raven black hair, his eyelashes, and eyes seemed to have the power to seduce anyone.
The young man’s expression remained unchanged as he glanced at the nearby table. “It’s in the drawer.”
Yu Chu pressed her lips together and strode towards it. She found the medicine and poured him a glass of water before returning to the bed. Su Yanbai reached out with his fair hand to receive the glass. He gazed at the glass of water and his fair fingers accidentally brushed against the girl’s fingertips. He swiftly took the medicine, looking stoic.
After he took his medicine, Yu Chu took the glass from him. She smiled and said, “In that case, I’ll be going…”
The young man still looked composed and quiet. His beautifully shaped eyes glanced at her as he pressed his thin lips together. He suddenly asked, “Have you eaten?”
Yu Chu was taken aback. “Not yet…”
“Let’s eat together.”
The man’s gaze rested on her face, but his pitch black eyes didn’t betray any hint of emotions.
He hitched a polite smile on his exquisite face and his gaze remained steady. Yu Chu saw his adorable dimples and her heart suddenly tingled.
She felt like prodding them…
She coughed and replied, “It’s okay. I…”
“It’s already afternoon.” The man raised his head to look at her while sitting down. With his black hair and white shirt, he was as beautiful as an angel in a painting. “Aren’t you hungry?”
The sunlight made his long eyelashes look golden as the young man pressed his lips together. “Let’s eat together. I ordered too much food and I can’t finish it all.”
Yu Chu’s heart jerked as she thought quietly. ‘Did Master order the food this time?’
Was he thinking of her?
With that thought, Yu Chu carefully observed the man’s expression. However, he continued to look impassive and quiet, with a tiny smile at the corners of his lips.
She retracted her gaze in disappointment and she immediately thought of something. “You’re unwell so you should be eating something light. You shouldn’t eat the food you ordered. Can I use the kitchen?”
Su Yanbai was startled.
Half an hour later, the girl came in with a bowl of porridge. She smiled. “There is white fungus in the refrigerator so I cooked it with the porridge. Try it.”
The young man turned his head slightly to meet the girl’s smile. His eyelashes fluttered slightly and his fair cheeks had blushed slightly despite his usual stoic expression.
He took the bowl and ate a mouthful. He looked surprised when he tasted it. His long eyelashes drooped and he politely remarked, “It’s delicious.”
The girl pressed her lips together and grinned. Her gaze fell on the laptop on his desk and she suddenly blinked.
“You… are playing this game as well?”
Su Yanbai glanced at it and he paused. “Yeah, I’m S,” he replied calmly.
