Surviving As The Villain’s Childhood Friend - Chapter 17

Leniana took a breath. She was so startled that her heart was pounding.

‘As expected…’

She realized that Yuria had extraordinary skills while watching her training, but…

As a matter of fact, there was no certainty. It was because she was such a free-spirited person.

However.

‘My prediction was correct.’

Leniana could accurately read the trajectory of the stones thrown by Yuria.

‘It was completely intentional.’

It was no coincidence. That was entirely the ability of Yuria.

Leniana put her hand on her chest. Her heart was still beating fast. She couldn’t believe a girl just over ten years old had that kind of talent.

She hid behind the wall and glanced at Yuria. Surrounded by girls, Yuria looked very embarrassed.

Even though Leniana worked so hard to break the stone with her hands there was no change.

‘It was because even her breathing itself was different from others.’

In the first place, people with good senses were slightly different from others in breathing and moving. As if they were part of Mother Nature, they easily assimilated with their surroundings.

The problem was…

Her swordsmanship itself was a mess.

‘She was probably not properly trained.’

It varied from family to family, but there were places where you started training in swordsmanship around the age of 14 when your secondary growth came(puberty).

‘So she’s…’

This meant she was an unpolished stone.

From then on, Leniana began to observe Yuria. From what point of view does she view swordsmanship? And what kind of swordsmanship did she want to do?

A knight can roughly tell what their opponent was like by looking at the opponent’s swordsmanship.

But.

‘…’

Once you’ve got that level of skill in swordsmanship, you are going to reveal your values in some way or another.

Yuria didn’t have any. It was just a swing to fill the number of times.

Even so, the sensation itself was so superior and beautiful that Leniana couldn’t take her eyes off it. Although she was shocked in many ways, Leniana did not give up. Obviously, Yuria must be hiding something. After all those days she spent killing time, it was the day Leniana came into the room later than usual.

Yuria was not in the room. At this time, she used to fall asleep or lie in bed and read strange novels.

‘No way.’

Leniana recalled what her father once said. A quiet night with no one around. Moonlight and sword polishing alone improved concentration.

Perhaps, Yuria Zeos trained every night, avoiding the eyes of others.

While Leniana was playing around with her wild assumption, Yuria came in. She deliberately pretended not to know and lied that she almost called her teacher because it was too late.

She didn’t want to put any pressure on the knight who was hiding her power.

Leniana’s gaze turned to Yuria’s clothes.

‘There’s leaves on her.’

Did she go into the forest and not the garden? Leniana asked if she had been to the forest where entry was forbidden. Of course, Yuria denied it, but Leniana didn’t believe it.

‘Lies.’

The leaves on her clothes were proof.

Leniana felt her mouth dry. She heard there were a lot of dangerous things in the forest. And yet, Yuria casually returned from training there alone…

Leniana thought that the only person who could stand against herself here was Roziel Evellian at best. The appearance of a new rival made Leniana’s heart race.

However, there was still a question as to why Yuria was hiding her power.

‘Is there any reason to hide your power?’

Was she afraid that if she revealed her power too quickly, she would get attention?

‘Well, that’s plausible.’

After all, interest in a young aristocrat from a small aristocratic family in the province might be burdensome.

Leniana tried to understand in her own way. If it hadn’t been for what she said.

“To save the world… I’ve been working hard.”

There was silence for a while. Originally, she acted as if one screw was missing, but she thought it was just her optimistic personality. However, she seemed to be sincere.

Come to think of it, even when we first met, she said something strange.

She suddenly lost her strength.

…Was it all my fault?

Leniana was confused. She had a good feeling. As she was the daughter of a knight commander, her eyes were better than others, so she couldn’t accept that she was wrong.

When she was distressed and doubting herself.

Finally today.

Leniana looked.

Yuria’s true worth.

Yuria did not hold the sword. Instead, she was holding something else. It wasn’t much of a weapon. It was just a stone.

A little rock cut through the wind and flew away. It neutralized the enemy at once.

‘I can’t believe it.’

Such speed and such precision.

Leniana shuddered.

With that kind of skill… When she learned the sword properly, how wonderful would her sword be?

“From now on, don’t go around talking about Roziel Evelian.”

Besides, Yuria had a great knightly spirit.

Before she knew it, Leniana looked at Yuria with sparkling eyes like the girls around her. A genius knight who hid her skills. She pretended not to be, but in the end, Leniana was also a young girl… and longed for romance. (TL/N: gl maybe??? ? )

“Sign, please!”

“Huh, my back’s bad! I’m done!”

In the end, Yuria fled, leaving behind the children who had become fans of Yuria. Leniana stared blankly at Yuria’s back.

Even her running was like flying.

‘Sparring… I want to try it.’

But would such an opportunity come easily? Yuria seemed so ignorant of the sword that she didn’t even know how to clean it.

Leniana replayed the stone-throwing scene over and over in her head.

‘But someday.’

If she’s in Agelisk, the day will come when she can confront her.

And when that time comes.

‘I will definitely win.’

She made a silent vow.

Leniana was an adolescent girl who could not even fully grasp her own mind, but she had a perfect sense as a knight.

‘After all, you shouldn’t judge a person from the outside.’

She instinctively recognized the warrior who would save the world.

* * *

Once a week, there was a time when a servant from the administration office came to the annex and delivered the mail.

“Oh, my father sent me a dress!”

“I got a new sword!”

No matter how big they pretend to be, they were still at an age where they would miss their parents.

Each received letters and gifts from home and laughed.

Of course, I was in that group. Hehe, the corners of my mouth kept going up. I looked at the letter that the maid had brought me.

The sender was Blandis Zeos.

As expected of my brother. Did he miss me? I thought I should send a letter, but I didn’t expect you to send it first.

Hehe.

Even though I entered Agelisk with the intention of saving the world. Sometimes I missed my family. I carefully opened the envelope of the letter. A cute pink stationery that matched Blandis was enclosed.

“How cute.”

I smiled happily and opened the letter.

“Hik…cute.”

I fell to my knees.

It was a lovely feeling that I had no regrets about entering Agelisk to save my family and the world. Besides, practicing swordsmanship. My heart ached even more at the thought of jumping around with that little body.

“I’ll send you a gift.”

I still had a lot of pocket money my parents gave me.

‘I’ll go out for a little bit this weekend.’

I was sure I could buy you a good present because my pockets were large.

(TL/N: large pockets = a lot of money)

Plus, there was the bejeweled button from Roziel. If I sell this, I will be able to live in luxury for the next year.

I ran to the administration office and filled out an application so that I could go out this weekend.

‘What can I buy you?’

I came back to my room and made a list of gifts for Blandis. Blandis liked a lot of things.

‘I seem to like this one these days… this one too. That too.’

Thinking of the gift that would go well with Blan’s loveliness, it became night.

‘Wait.’

Instead of making a list, I put my pen down as a thought came to mind.

‘Let’s give Roziel a present, too.’

There are many ways to get close to each other. Among them, bribes… No, giving gifts was one of the best ways.

What does Roziel like?

There was nothing to worry about.

‘I think he and Blandis have the same taste.’

The tastes of young boys, regardless of their status, were there. Judging by the way he pampered Cutie, he seemed like a very affectionate child.

“It’s good to teach the villain love.”

It is also important to provide the right object of affection for the right person.

Okay. The object of affection.

Affection…

Okay, I’ve chosen you!

Doll!
