Lu Zhanbei’s gaze shifted away from the document and watched the girl’s slender figure as she entered the bathroom. A smile flashed across his deep eyes.

When Tong Yi came out after washing up, she saw Lu Zhanbei close the document in his hand. He got up and walked around the couch toward the door.

“Where are you going?”

The man did not stop walking. “Breakfast.”

Tong Yi took her mobile phone from the coffee table and followed him. “I haven’t eaten either. Let’s eat together.”

The man softly mumbled an agreement.

Tong Yi was a bit surprised. Thinking back, he only closed the document after she came out from the bathroom. She couldn’t help but ask, “Were you waiting for me just now?”

Lu Zhanbei turned to look at Tong Yi but didn’t say anything.

Tong Yi did not ask further and changed the topic. “I waited for you for the entire afternoon yesterday, but you didn’t come back. I wanted to wait for you for dinner. At eight, I got too hungry, so I called room service for dinner. After dinner, I didn’t go anywhere. I was worried that we would miss each other if you came back and I had gone out, so I waited and fell asleep.”

Her goal was to win him over, so she did not conceal any of her efforts from him. She had to tell him everything that she did for him so that he would know how much she valued him.

Tong Yi thought he would say something. However, he did not even bother replying to her with a simple ‘hmm’.

The two did not speak again until they reached the hotel restaurant.

Tong Yi wasn’t angry at all, she had gotten used to his silent treatments and indifferent attitude. However, even after having said so much, the other party did not react at all. It was quite boring because it was like talking to a wall.

She was not a talkative person. If not for the sake of completing the game mission, she much preferred to go about in silence like Lu Zhanbei.

Breakfast was an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Tong Yi picked up a fried dough stick and a glass of soy milk, then found an empty table to sit down at. However, she didn’t eat immediately. Instead, she watched Lu Zhanbei, her gaze following his movements.

It was just a little past seven in the morning, not the peak hour for breakfast yet. The restaurant was not packed, but there were quite a few people around.

Lu Zhanbei stood out from the crowd.

His outstanding facial features, exquisite clothes, mature and steady temperament, low-profile quality, and innate nobility attracted quite the attention.

Tong Yi saw many women stealing glances at Lu Zhanbei. Some even looked eager to go over and hit on him.

Perhaps it was his cold aura that kept people away.

Those people were only interested, but none of them dared to approach him.

The corners of Tong Yi’s lips subconsciously curled up. From the looks of it, she was actually quite brave.

Seeing that Lu Zhanbei had taken his food from the buffet counter and seemed to be looking for a seat, Tong Yi hurriedly raised her hand and called him, “Here.”

She had to seize every opportunity to be with him.

Even if the two were silent, it was good to remain in each other’s presence.

Lu Zhanbei met her gaze and walked toward her.

He placed the tray on the table and sat down opposite her.

Tong Yi glanced at Lu Zhanbei’s breakfast. One serving of pasta, some fruit salad, one fried dumpling, and two glasses of milk.

‘It seems like he is quite the big eater and likes to drink milk.’

Just as those thoughts flashed through Tong Yi’s mind, Lu Zhanbei took away her plate of fried dough sticks.

She looked up at him. “What are you doing?”

Lu Zhanbei placed the plate of fried dough sticks aside and put the fried dumpling, fruit salad, and a glass of milk on Tong Yi’s tray.

Tong Yi was confused. “What’s this?”

Lu Zhanbei met Tong Yi’s gaze. “You should eat less fried food. It’s not healthy.”

Tong Yi looked at the breakfast on the tray and then at Lu Zhanbei. Her tone was a little shocked when she said, “You got this for me?”
