So You Have Loved Me Too - Chapter 55

After leaving the courtyard, Qi Helian caught up with Ji Chicheng. Coming close to his ear, he relished over his misfortune, “Those little love birds seem to get along well. How can you be so unethical as their little uncle?”

Ji Chicheng coldly eyed him, “What the fuck would you know?”

A glint of malice flashed across his eyes.

Qi Helian shivered before instantly diverging from that subject, “I’ve a scene to do tomorrow night. Rehearse it with me.”

“Mhm,” Ji Chicheng nodded his head in agreement.

Seeing him agree so straightforwardly, Young Master Qi found it too easy, so his phoenix-shaped eyes curved as he added, “It’s a kissing and bed scene.”

At the sound of that, Ji Chicheng turned his head to say coldly, “I know you treasure your life.”

“…”

“Anning, you two are back.”

Seeing Ji Anning and Ji Jingfeng return, Yang Yufang went towards them cheerfully.

“Mom,” looking at Yang Yufang, Ji Anning gently greeted her while mixed feelings arose in her heart.

Now that she and Ji Jingfeng were putting on an act and deceiving her, she had no idea how to face her.

“My child, why didn’t you call to tell me since you were with Jingfeng? You gave me such a fright,” Yang Yufang reproached her lovingly with unmistakable joy.

In her heart, she longed for her and Ji Jingfeng to be together. Since young, she treated her well to the best of her ability. But they were destined to fail her.

As Ji Anning mulled, she lowered her eyelids guiltily, “Sorry about worrying you.”

“It’s okay. You look exhausted,” Yang Yufang observed after eyeing Ji Anning’s face and said sympathetically, “Hurry upstairs and have a rest. I’ll come upstairs to get you when lunch is ready.”

“Sure,” Ji Anning curved her lips to smile at Yang Yufang before heading upstairs.

Ji Jingfeng followed closely behind.

“Anan.”

After they got upstairs, he kept standing at Ji Anning’s door.

Ji Anning halted her steps to impatiently eye him, “I’m tired. I want to go back to my room and rest for a while.”

“Okay then,” Ji Jingfeng pursed his lips and nodded before gradually pulling back his outreached hand.

Ji Anning reached her hand out to push the bedroom door open gently.

Suddenly, she turned to look towards Ji Jingfeng, “Jingfeng.”

Ji Jingfeng halted and turned to smile lovingly at Ji Anning, “Yes?”

“3 years ago…” Ji Anning suddenly paused before finishing her question, “Did you save me from that fire?”

Ji Jingfeng got dumbfounded.

Seeing his hesitance, Ji Anning pursed her lips upwards and said mildly, “You don’t have to answer, since it’s now meaningless.

Then she turned to enter the room and shut the door.

Turning around, she leaned against the door before gradually squatting down and hugging her knees.

It was tiring! It was simply too exhausting!

“Look at the sweat you broke out in after barely playing. It’s time for you to work out.”

Carrying a tennis racket, Yang Danning complained about how poorly she fared physically while wiping Ji Anning’s perspiration from her brow.

Ji Anning rolled her eyes at her, “Thank you for your concern, Miss Yang. It’s not like I plan on doing menial work. What’s the point of having all that stamina?”

This woman insisted on dragging her out of the house on this beautiful weekend.

Honestly speaking, it surpassed staying home and keep seeing Ji Ruoqian and the rest.

“Oh, yes. How are things with you and Ji Jingfeng?”

Suddenly, Yang Danning looked at Ji Anning and asked.

Ji Anning acted quizzically, “What do you mean by that?”
