So You Have Loved Me Too - Chapter 54

It was a luxurious hotel, it was above five stars and had a posh lobby. The moment Ji Anning exited the lift, she caught sight of Ji Jingfeng sitting on a couch in the reception area with a lit cigarette between his fingers.

Astonishment flashed across her eyes. When did he start smoking?

The Ji Jingfeng whom she knew neither smoked nor drank and was diligent. He did not suffer from any of the problems that most other rich men’s sons were prone to.

All it took was less than a week for the image she had in her heart to alter entirely.

Did Ji Jingfeng have a hard time pretending in the past?

“Anan.”

While Ji Jingfeng flicked a cigarette, he caught sight of Ji Anning. Hastily throwing the half stick of cigarette in his hand straight into the ashtray, he rose and walked towards her.

Ji Anning pursed her lips and said mildly, “Let’s go.”

She sensed the immense constraint and helplessness in Ji Jingfeng’s smile.

But it was not her fault, and she did not pester him. He wanted to remain an obedient child in his mother and grandfather’s heart and rise to his coveted position.

She had her concerns and desires too.

Both of them were now selfishly thinking only for themselves. She always felt there was nothing wrong with being a little more selfish.

Ji Anning walked up ahead while Ji Jingfeng followed behind her, keeping a pace’s distance between them.

“Anan.”

Ji Jingfeng suddenly took a big stride to reach and hold Ji Anning by the hand.

Without any hesitation, Ji Anning flung him aside, “Jingfeng, you can start acting when we get home.”

After finishing in a moderate tone, she walked off without turning back and boarded Ji Jingfeng’s car.

Staring at the gloomy Ji Anning from behind, a sense of disgust swept across Ji Jingfeng’s eyes. Lowering his eyes to see the hand he used to hold Ji Anning’ earlier, he found it so repulsive he wanted to chop it off.

The car drove straight into the courtyard and stopped steadily. After Ji Anning got off, Ji Jingfeng followed behind quickly.

When they got to the stairs at the front door, Ji Jingfeng reached his hand out to hold Ji Anning’s.

Ji Anning’s hand instinctively pulled back.

Someone happened to come out from inside. As she was worried others might notice something amiss, she did not struggle any longer.

When two tall silhouettes came out one after another from the house, Ji Anning and Ji Jingfeng glanced over at the same time.

On seeing them, Ji Jingfeng courteously nodded, “Little Uncle. Helian.”

Ji Chicheng and Qi Helian stood shoulder to shoulder on the third stair above them. One of them smiled gently while the other wore an overcast expression.

“Oh, where have you little lovebirds gone?”

Staring at Ji Anning and Ji Jingfeng holding hands, Qi Helian curved his phoenix-shaped eyes and smiled profoundly.

After inquiring, he turned to glance at Ji Chicheng as he stood next to him, “Chengcheng, it looks like you’ll be an uncle-in-law and a granduncle in a matter of years. Hanging out with you is going to make me seem old.”

Ji Chicheng twitched his lips, wanting to punch him for his affected mannerism.

With his hands in his pant pockets, Ji Chicheng clenched his fists tightly. He walked away, cutting between Ji Anning and Ji Jingfeng.

When he walked down, knowing he was too lazy to make a detour and wanted to pass right in between them, Ji Anning flung Ji Jingfeng’s hand away just in time to give way to him.

After Ji Chicheng walked away, she turned her head to frown at him hard in disdain.

This domineering fellow!

“I’m heading off.”

Qi Helian watched Ji Chicheng from behind as he walked away furiously. Suppressing his laughter, he greeted Ji Anning and Ji Jingfeng before giving chase, “Hey, Chengcheng. Wait up!”
