The man’s large hand reached over to cover her eyes. As though charged with an electric current, his soft palm sent tingles through Ji Anning’s body, making her shiver a little.
By her ear came the perfect mandarin once again, “Who bullied you? Tell me, and I’ll help you seek revenge.”
His large hand covered Ji Anning’s eyes the entire time while he rubbed her brow gently with his thumb.
His actions were gentle.
In a twinkling, a sense of déjà vu flashed across Ji Anning’s heart.
She surprisingly felt a shred of warmth… from this monster who ruined her.
Her lips curled in self-ridicule.
