Ji Xiangting went to the same university. She reported to school today too. If she caught wind of her doing part-time work, then it would be impossible for her to attend university.

Yang Danning lowered her voice. Reaching out her finger to point at Ji Anning, she was at a loss for words. In the end, she poked her on the forehead, “Sure, just do whatever you like. If Grandpa Ji finds out, then your good days are numbered.”

Haha. Good days…

All these years, it was her biggest dream to earn money. Perhaps from the standpoint of others, money was not almighty, but for her having no money actively haltered her.

But what would Yang Danning, who was born with a silver spoon, understand?

The set for today was at the seaside. Without any traffic jam, taking the public bus would take approximately two hours.

Ji Anning alighted the bus and ran straight to the set. Since it was still being set up, the people inside were bustling around.

“Hong,” through the crowd, she made a beeline for someone dressed in a black T-shirt. It was a middle-aged woman instructing others on their work.

Upon hearing her, the lady named, Hong, swung her head around to see Ji Anning. She smiled and headed over, “Anning.”

“Sorry, I’m late,” apologized Ji Anning breathlessly. Then she scoured the place.

She spotted several familiar faces, who could often be seen on the television.

With such a cast, the producers must be quite influential.

Ji Anning speculated. Hong suddenly reached out and pulled her by the arm, “Let me introduce you to the director.”

Before she realized what was going on, she was pulled in front of a man in his 40s, who was sitting behind a camera.

The man donned a pair of wire spectacles and sported crew-cut hair. Ji Anning gaped in astonishment.

No wonder the cast was stellar, it was Director Wang Xiaozhong’s work. It was the topnotch local production team with the best reviews.

“Director Wang, this is Wan Ruier’s body double for the water scene,” Hong pointed at Ji Anning as she introduced her to the director sitting in front of the camera.

“Hello, Director Wang,” Ji Anning hastily nodded to the director.

Having worked as an extra for so long, this was the most eminent director she had ever met. He also happened to the youngest.

Because she was the lead’s body double, Director Wang scrutinized Ji Anning before gently nodding to Hong, “Mhm, get her prepped.”

“Okay,” replied Hong. Then she pulled Ji Anning towards the makeup zone for extras.

Looking at the big-time artists, who circled together happily chatting, made Ji Anning uneasy.

She came close to Hong’s ear and whispered, “Hong, are you sure I don’t have to show my face?”

“Don’t worry. It’s not like I don’t know what you’re like,” Hong smiled as she reached her hand out to pat Ji Anning on the shoulder, “Hurry up and get your makeup done.”

Ji Anning pursed her lips tightly as she looked appreciatively at Hong. She nodded then acknowledged with an, “Mhm”.

“Qi Helian. Qi Helian is here.”
