Seven World Martial God - Chapter 60

Shocking!

Incomparably shocking!

The grizzled recruits and fearsome mountain bandits could only watch in awed disbelief as the young man dueled the bandit chief.

How old was this child?

He was clearly only a Martial Artist; how could he match a Martial Master?

Everyone was filled with the same wonder.

But the truth was right in front of their eyes as the youth fought evenly against the glorious Martial Master, the most dazzling of existences.

“Little brute, you must be the leader of this group!” The one-eyed chief called out between thundering machete blows, his eye filled with a terrifying coldness.

“That’s right. Your group of mountain bandits is fair game to all!”

Ye Tian sneered, his saber strikes growing in strength, his killing intent billowing out around him.

“Arrogant!”

The one-eyed man roared, slashing forward with a blast of a dozen Machete Qi strikes that exploded through the air.

The Martial Master expert pushed his True Qi into his weapon and shot forth sharp weapon Qi.

Of course, Half-Step Martial Masters like Ye Tian could also fight with such ranged strikes, but he couldn’t do so as easily or as extensively as the Martial Master.

So, the one-eyed bandit chief quickly recovered from his astonishment, completely confident in his eventual victory.

And normally he would be correct, but unfortunately his opponent was a genius who had formed a Saber Intent Seed.

This piddling expert bandit had no idea what Saber Intent even was, and as he focused on the fight, he soon forget Ye Tian’s glorious strike.

“Ha!”

Ye Tian roared as if he were possessed by Shiva, red light gleaming from his eyes, his killing intent instantly bursting outwards and almost taking physical presence around his blade.

The long saber seemed to grow a mind of its own as Ye Tian danced, cutting forward with blistering cold Qi that seemed to freeze the air.

The one-eyed chief’s pupils narrowed as he stared unblinkingly at the long saber. His body trembled uncontrollably as he lost control over his limbs, the air around him pressing down and trapping him in place.

Ye Tian’s eyes disappeared as the gleaming killing intent of the saber strike conquered everything.

“Impossible! What is this blade? Ah…”

The cyclops roared, all his Qi bursting out against the invisible bonds around him, forcefully breaking away and bringing his machete down at Ye Tian.

“Shua!”

Ye Tian’s Saber Intent cut forward, the boundlessly vast wave flashing outwards with Ye Tian at its epicenter.

To the wide-eyed astonishment of the mountain bandits and Scarlet Guard recruits, weapons trembled and struggled in their hands.

Soon, the mysterious power had wrenched their weapons away and into the sky.

Hundreds of weapons flew above Ye Tian before slashing down with his strike, cutting forward at the bandit chief.

Clang Clang…

Weapons pounded forward in a mind-numbing attack that truly exceeded everyone’s expectations. The bandits and recruits could only watch in dazed silence as Ye Tian wielded the flying swords and sabers.

“What’s happening?”

“Heavens, what am I seeing?”

“Madness! I must be dreaming!”

Every face was filled with stunned disbelief.

Liu Hongwu glared in wide-eyed astonishment.

Saber intent! Impossible! He’s only a Martial Artist yet he comprehended Saber Intent? How talented is he? The little girl thought, her heart a mess as she faced the undeniable truth of a genius who far exceeded her.

As the daughter of the Scarlet Guard General, obviously she knew things that ordinary Martial Warriors did not.

She would never forget what her father had said to her when she turned ten.

…That year, she had just advanced to Martial Artist. A ten year old Martial Artist! She was incredibly proud. Even if you looked at the entire history of Blood Jade City, she would be considered a peerless genius!

But then her father instantly disabused her of any arrogance.

“Little Wu, you’ve only broken through to Martial Artist. Our Shen Zhou Continent is wide and boundless with countless geniuses born everyday. A ten year old Martial Artist is nothing to be proud of, for there are countless geniuses more talented than you. You are not yet a true talent,” her father had said directly.

The young Liu Hongwu had pouted unhappily and replied: “Then what is a true talent?”

“If you can comprehend any of the Martial Dao weapon intents while you are in the Martial Master realm, then you are a true genius,” Liu Hongwu’s father replied, his eyes turned upwards in yearning.

“Martial Dao Intent? What’s that? Have you comprehended it, Daddy?” Liu Hongwu asked, never having heard the term before.

Her father had shaken his head and sighed before replying: “If your father had comprehended Saber Intent, this small Blood Jade City wouldn’t be able to hold me, and I might’ve even been able to defeat the higher realm City Lord!”

When Liu Hongwu heard this, she had sworn that she would one day comprehend a Martial Dao Intent, but of course it wasn’t as easy as that.

In all of Blood Jade City’s history, there had never been a genius who comprehended a Martial Dao Intent.

But now–

Liu Hongwu’s face was filled with surprised envy and reluctance as she examined this young man with soaring killing intent, her feelings complicated beyond anything she had ever experienced.

“Saber Intent… in the Martial Artist realm!” Liu Hongwu murmured dazedly. If a Martial Master who comprehended Saber Intent was a true genius, then what was a Martial Artist who had comprehended it? A true genius among true geniuses?

“Little girl, what are you thinking? Let’s go quickly look for treasure. The bandits just took down a caravan so there must be a lot of treasure here. The Commander said to bring back everything valuable,” Ye Tian said, patting the dazed Liu Hongwu’s head as he led the way to investigate the nearby caves.

The little girl stirred, looking over at the remains of the one-eyed bandit chief. The man’s body had been slashed and cut by hundreds of weapons, surely killed a thousand times over.

As soon as their Martial Master leader had died, the mountain bandits had escaped and fled, absolutely terrified.

Soon, only Scarlet Guard recruits remained. The battle was smoothly concluded, and even after some twists and turns, none of the recruits had received anything above a light injury.

And so, the warriors followed Ye Tian to search through the bandit stash.

Ye Tian headed over to the cave that the one-eyed chief had emerged from.

His guess hit the mark and there was indeed treasure hiding within the cave. Almost twenty steel chests lined the inside of the cave, and when Ye Tian opened them up, golden light flashed up at him.

“These bandits were rich!” Ye Tian exclaimed, shaking his head at the golden ingots.

He opened the chests one after another. The vast majority were filled with gold and silver and precious jewels, and only a single chest was filled with precious herbs.

Ye Tian ignored the wealth piled up in the other chests, focusing on the plants. As an ambitious Martial Warrior, he cared most for medicine that could improve his cultivation.

Ye Tian soon unearthed Ginseng, Spirit Fruit, Ganoderma, and other precious herbs, but the object that took up his attention was a fiery red spirit root that seemed to burn with energy.

“A Fire Dragon Fruit!” Ye Tian’s eyes flashed excitedly as he examined the spirit fruit.

The broad and boundless Shen Zhou Continent hid all kinds of natural treasures, but even in this wide land, the Fire Dragon Fruit was among the top ten treasures for the Martial Master realm, even desired by some lofty Level Nine Martial Master experts.

Ye Tian never expected the bandit chief to have such a treasure and could only conclude that it must’ve been stolen from the Blood Jade City’s caravan.

That was the only explanation.

Ye Tian made a casual conclusion, but he really paid very little attention to the origin of this treasure. All he was wondering now was that if a Level Nine Martial Master treasured this, what would happen if he ate it?

Would he directly break through several levels?

Ye Tian was so excited that he wanted to eat the Fire Dragon Fruit right at that moment, but there was no way he could fall into a lengthy cultivation here, so he quietly tucked the Fire Dragon Fruit away and left the cave.

Once outside, he called for the Scarlet Guards to come over and carry the chests.

When they saw the treasure they had recovered, the Squad Leaders were all thrilled.

“Heavens, boss! All this gold and jewels and even precious herbs! I’m sure that even the Commander will be excited by this!” Old Zhang said excitedly, not even realizing his change in address.

But of course, strength spoke for itself. Every Squad Leader now looked at Ye Tian with awe.

His power had truly shocked them.

They had all witnessed Ye Tian killing a Martial Master expert. Respect filled every Scarlet Guard’s eye.
