Seven World Martial God - Chapter 6

Translator: Aristophaneso Editor: Caron_

“Stupid girl. How could you fall for a cripple without a Martial Spirit? You’re throwing away the Lin Family’s face!”

Lin Jiao snorted as Lin Xue walked away before turning back to glare at Ye Tian, her face dark as she said, “Without a Martial Spirit you will forever be trash. You will never become a Martial Warrior. Understand the gap between us and stop dreaming of eating swan, you toad!”

Her cutting words were like sharp knives stabbing Ye Tian’s heart. His eyes reddened and his veins bulged as he clenched his fists so hard that they began to crack.

“What? You want to hit me?” Li Jiao’s eyes glinted, a disdainful smile crossing her lips.

At that moment, the young man beside Lin Jiao walked forward. A proud look covered his face as he sneered at Ye Tian, saying: “Ye Tian, Jiaojiao is my fiancée. You better put away that stupid glare before I teach you a lesson you won’t forget.”

As Ye Wei loomed over Ye Tian, the former genius who could now only swallow his fury, he felt indescribable happiness. He was the original number one genius of the Ye Family Village, but then Ye Tian had come out of nowhere and stolen his glory.

But now, none of that mattered. Geniuses would always remain geniuses, and trash would always be trash. Without a Martial Spirit, Ye Tian could no longer pose a threat to him.

Ye Wei leered at Ye Tian, his eyes arrogant and cold.

“An ugly-hearted woman like you will get what’s coming to you!” Ye Tian snorted, gritting his teeth and turning away.

With the memory of his thirty-year past life, Ye Tian could be patient. There was no need to pay two children any heed, and now that he had a plan to move towards his goal, he wasn’t bothered too much. When he became a true Martial Warrior, he could come back and pay back all the humiliation he had to stomach.

“What did you say? I dare you to say it again!” Lin Jiao’s pretty eyes flashed with anger as she roared.

Ye Wei stepped forward again, stopping right in front of Ye Tian, his cold eyes staring straight into Ye Tian’s. His voice was cold as he said, “You better apologize to Jiaojiao, or else…”

His eyes were fierce and cold, and he didn’t bother finishing his threat.

Ye Tian stood coldly, indifferently replying, “Apologize? I don’t have this word in my vocabulary. If you want an apology, you should go apologize to her yourself.” After he finished speaking, Ye Tian turned and continued walking away.

Ye Wei stepped forward and blocked Ye Tian again, his glare deepening and his voice dropping: “Apologize. If not, I’ll leave you lying here for others to carry away even if that means I’ll be punished by the Village Chief.”

As Ye Wei finished speaking, a ferocious aura of Qi burst forth from his body, aimed directly at Ye Tian.

“You and what army? Even if I don’t have a Martial Spirit, you aren’t a Martial Warrior yet. We’re both Peak Martial Apprentices, yet you think you can be so arrogant in front of me? Wait till you’re a Martial Warrior then talk.” Ye Tian sneered.

Ye Tian still had his confidence. With the memories of his past in the special forces, no one in the same realm could be a match for him. Ye Wei was only a Peak Martial Apprentice and was no threat at all.

“Really?” Ye Wei replied, a strange smile crossing his face. He lifted his fist and struck forward like a Flood Dragon erupting from the waves, striking at Ye Tian.

“The skill of an insect, pah!” Ye Tian snorted, long prepared for his attack. Before Ye Wei’s fist could even approach him, Ye Tian’s counter had already crossed and was striking towards Ye Wei’s chest. When his fist landed, Ye Wei would definitely spit blood.

Ye Tian smiled coldly. With the accumulated skill from his past life, how could a young child who had never left his village be a match for him?

But just as Ye Tian was about to strike Ye Wei’s chest, he noticed a strange gleam in Ye Wei’s eyes, but by then it was too late to hesitate and his fist flew forwards and slammed into Ye Wei’s chest.

“Hong!”

A blast rang out, but Ye Wei didn’t fly backwards. Instead, Ye Tian felt as if he had hit a steel plate. His entire arm was jolted numb, blood dripping forth from a painful wound in his purlicue.

Ye Tian narrowed his eyes, disbelief on his face as he looked at Ye Wei.

“Your skills are decent, but too bad you’re too weak, ha!” Ye Wei said, a disdainful smile covering the twisted expression on his face. While Ye Tian was still in shock, Ye Wei finished his punch, mercilessly striking Ye Tian’s shoulder.

A crack rang out as Ye Tian’s shoulder was popped out of its joint, his arm dangling uncontrollably.

At the same time, the powerful impact tossed Ye Tian backwards into the air.

As he painted an arc through the sky, Ye Tian glared at Ye Wei, disbelief filling his face. His voice trembled as he spoke: “You… you advanced to Martial Warrior?”

“Hong!”

Ye Tian crashed to the ground, the area around him shaking slightly from the impact, but his eyes never left Ye Wei.

Martial Warriors utilized the True Qi in their bodies to increase their defensive capabilities, and this power was something that no Martial Apprentice could achieve. If Ye Tian still didn’t understand Ye Wei’s abilities clearly now, then his past experience would be a waste.

“Hmph!” Ye Wei snorted, his face covered in pride as he looked down at Ye Tian’s shocked face.

Lin Jiao walked forward, casting a disdainful glance at Ye Tian, smirking happily. “That’s right! Ye Wei has woken his Martial Spirit and is already a Martial Warrior, and his Martial Spirit is Orange. A loser like you will never catch up to him for the rest of your life.”

Ye Tian’s eyes shook at her words and he gritted his teeth, disbelief still covering his face.

“Remember this lesson. In the future, Jiaojiao will be part of our Ye Family Village and you better not disrespect her or else I’ll beat you every time you show your face!” Ye Wei threatened.

“What are you doing?”

Suddenly, a cold voice called out as a man approached from the village gate. The captain of the village’s hunter team strode forward, his sharp eyes glancing over Ye Wei and Ye Tian. “Fighting?”

Ye Tian stayed silent, and the arrogant and proud Ye Wei was like a mouse who had stumbled before a cat, smiling and hurriedly replying: “Uncle Feng, you misunderstand. Younger Brother Ye Tian and I were just comparing notes, and I accidentally hurt him. Ay, it’s all my fault for being careless. Please punish me.”

Ye Feng was the captain of the village’s hunter team and was the primary teacher for all of the village’s children. In the entire village, his Level Nine Martial Warrior status was only surpassed by the Village Chief’s, and he was deeply respected by the entire Ye Family Village.

“Ye Tian, is this true?” Ye Feng asked calmly, staring for a long moment at Ye Wei before turning to Ye Tian.

Right now, not even the arrogant Lin Jiao dared to interrupt and she could only lower her head, not even daring to look at Ye Feng.

Ye Wei was also somewhat nervous and was secretly throwing a threatening glare at Ye Tian.

Ye Tian brushed the dust off his clothes and expressionlessly climbed to his feet. He glanced at Ye Wei’s stealthy glare and Lin Jiao’s frightened posture before calmly replying, “I accidentally fell.”

Lin Jiao let out a sigh of relief while Ye Wei shifted into smug satisfaction as if his eyes were saying: at least you know your place.

“Oh?” Ye Feng replied, his eyes flashing. He waved his hand before continuing: “You have no Martial Spirit and cannot advance to become a Martial Warrior, while Ye Wei is already a Martial Warrior. You two are not on the same level. In the future, there will be no more comparing notes.” As he finished, he turned and left.

“Uncle Feng, I understand,” Ye Wei shouted at Ye Feng’s back, his face covered in glee as he turned a disdainful glance back towards the expressionless Ye Tian. He sneered: “It’s good that you know your place. Jiaojiao, let’s go.”

“You better not think about my sisters! A loser cripple like you!” Lin Jiao sneered as well before turning and following Ye Wei.

Ye Tian straightened and brushed his clothes again, not paying the pair a single glance as he picked up the little white tiger lying on the ground and walking towards the village gate.

Each step forward felt as if he was weighed down by a thousand catties, but Ye Tian strode forward step by step until he disappeared into the wide forest.

A familiar waterfall soon appeared before him, and Ye Tian approached and climbed atop a boulder, sitting and listlessly looking up at the sky. It was only here that he felt some comfort come over him.

The little white tiger beside him kept playing with his thigh, meowing.

Ye Tian had suffered terribly today, and both Tingting’s loyal affection for him and Ye Wei and Lin Jiao’s humiliating words had indelibly marked his heart.

If this exchange had come even a day before, Ye Tian might have given up all confidence and hope, because he truly could never become a Martial Warrior.

But now…

Ye Tian looked up at the magnificent waterfall, a brilliant light filling his eyes as he yelled out his deep and powerful oath.

“Martial Warrior! I will definitely become a Martial Warrior!”

With the quick successive blows and mockery descending upon him, Ye Tian was even more eager to rise to become a Martial Warrior. He tried to climb down the rocks around the waterfall to find the mother white tiger’s corpse, but the stream was so rapid that only the heavens knew where the body had been washed to.

“I hate this!” Ye Tian cried out to the heavens. If he hadn’t thrown away the white tiger’s corpse yesterday, then he might already have the devouring property by now.

But unfortunately, there was no cure for regret.

When the sun fell, Ye Tian dragged his tired body back to the Ye Family Village.

“Da da da…”

Suddenly, a peal of horse hooves filled the air. Far in the distance, near the edge of the forest, a group of Martial Warriors clad in scarlet clothing rode atop black horses, sweeping forward like a bloody flood, exuding bloody and sharp, world-shaking Qi.

The Scarlet Warriors road in Ye Tian’s direction.

“Not good!” Ye Tian’s heart leaped with fear as he hurriedly jumped into the bush beside the road.

Their thundering steps swept forward.

The crashing hooves struck the ground in a deafening wave as the leader of the Scarlet Warriors led the way, a tall man with a spear in hand. His gaze was like lightning, glancing over Ye Tian before turning back to the road. That single glance brought a suffocating pressure that instantly pressed the air out of Ye Tian’s lungs, covering his body with a cold sheen of sweat.

“What an incredible force. Even our Peak Martial Warrior Village Chief isn’t this powerful. Is he a Martial Master?” Ye Tian wondered in shock, on the verge of hyperventilating.

Before he knew it, the Scarlet Warriors were past him, already disappearing down the bend of the road.
