Scoring the Sacred Body of the Ancients from the Get-go - Chapter 56

Even Ji Xuan had trouble dealing with the Ancient Remnants in the Unifying Stage.

Jun Xiaoyao, who was at a lower cultivation level, barely had a chance.

Although Ji Bangyin didn’t make any snarky remarks, he was obviously watching the events unfold with a gloating smile.

Jun Zhantian’s wrinkled face remained composed. He even cracked a shallow smile.

He knew better than anyone else what Jun Xiaoyao was capable of.

Jun Xiaoyao stared at the Demon Ape dashing toward him outside of the Supreme Treasures. The expression on his handsome face remained calm and indifferent.

As he raised his hand, the golden waves roared across the boundless Spirit Sea inside of his body.

The mighty, golden magical power surged with great momentum.

The magical power formed countless sabers, halberds, spears, glaives, and many other types of divine weapons in midair.

It was the Torrent of the Weapons, the unique skill of the Jun family.

“Go!”

Jun Xiaoyao pushed millions of weapons forward with one hand. The weapons transformed into a golden torrent and rushed toward the Demon Ape.

The Demon Ape sensed the danger and howled at the sky. Much to everyone’s surprise, the black demonic energy around the Ape’s body burst and hardened into a black armor.

Bang!

With an earth-shattering clashing sound, the Torrent of the Weapons cracked open the Demon Ape’s black armor. However, it didn’t damage him very much.

“The Ancient Remnants truly are impressive creatures.” The Demon Ape’s defenses took Jun Xiaoyao by surprise.

The black horn growing on the Demon Ape’s forehead released inky runes along with a beam of dim light that moved directly toward Jun Xiaoyao.

The cultivators who rushed to the scene from all directions continued to watch Jun Xiaoyao.

Ji Xuan and Xiao Chen arrived here not too long ago, while Wu Mingyue was still hiding in the shadows. All three of them were also watching Jun Xiaoyao closely.

Jun Xiaoyao remained calm and collected.

He activated the Divine Elephant Overpowering Force again.

The black specter of the Reaper floated out of his body.

It was the Underworld Protection, the most powerful defense skill of the Divine Elephant Overpowering Force.

Bang!

The dim black light slammed into the Underworld Protection, creating huge waves of black light, but it couldn’t penetrate the Underworld Protection.

Even the ferocious Demon Ape was astounded, his bloody eyes widened. He obviously didn’t expect that the human before him, who was at a lower level, could endure his ultimate attack.

Jun Xiaoyao stretched out the Wings of the Devil from his back and flew to the Demon Ape like a whirlwind.

Jun Xiaoyao applied the sealing technique with his fingers. A giant and imposing figure formed behind Jun Xiaoyao, with its head towards the sky as it stomped into the ground.

Jun Xiaoyao unleashed so much terrifying energy that it could overwhelm the entire universe.

He stood in front of the specter of the emperor; together, they looked like the ruler of the world and the son of God!

His Seal of the Emperor overwhelmed everything else around it with superior strength!

Bang!

Jun Xiaoyao struck the Demon Ape with the Seal of the Emperor. Like the far ancient divine mountain bearing down, the seal instantly squashed the Demon Ape. It was left badly bruised and bleeding profusely.

As the Demon Ape bellowed in pain and anger, Jun Xiaoyao soon punched it one more time.

Using his fist, he created a storm in the air which swept through the entire area.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The savage and fierce Ancient Remnant drew his last breath after taking three more attacks from Jun Xiaoyao.

The sight took everyone’s breath away.

The whole field was dead quiet because everyone was too astonishing and disturbing to say anything!

At first glance, Jun Xiaoyao had a soft and refined appearance, with a stately manner that made him seem like an ethereal deity. However, he attacked the Ancient Remnants so violently that he pulverized them with only three blows.

Ji Xuan had never looked so serious before.

Xiao Chen, on the other hand, clenched his fists tightly. His eyes were filled with a mixture of indignation, shock, and fear.

Jun Xiaoyao was too powerful.

Xiao Chen thought that he had caught up with Jun Xiaoyao after cultivating diligently over the past few years. However, it now appeared that Jun Xiaoyao’s ability was still scary enough to put Xiao Chen to shame.

Wu Mingyue, who was still hiding in the shadows, was also astonished. Her clear and bright eyes widened in disbelief.

People who enjoyed a grand reputation were usually capable of something extraordinary in the first place, after all.

Ji Bangyin hovered above the Great Wild Forest.

He wanted to say something, yet he was at loss for words.

Jun Zhantian stroked his beard and said with a satisfied chuckle, “Aye, it looks like my grandson is good at everything except for laying low.”

Ji Bangyin’s expression was even more puzzled upon hearing Jun Zhantian brag about his grandson. Ji Bangyin was left distressed and flustered, feeling as if he had a fishbone stuck in his throat.

Thankfully, Ji Xuan didn’t perform too badly. Otherwise, Ji Bangyin would be too ashamed to stay there any longer.

“The divine child of the Jun family is probably the only star shining in this time of conflict,” the elder of the Jiang family exclaimed.

He wasn’t trying to tell people a hidden message. After all, Jun Xiaoyao was partly a member of the Jiang family as Jiang Rou’s son.

“Well, there is no result yet. It might be too early to come to a conclusion,” the elder from the Lair of Zulong commented dispassionately.

Meanwhile, Long Bichi of the Lair of Zulong reached the Supreme Treasures.

The Nine-headed Lion Clan and the Sky-devouring Swallow also rushed to the scene from a different direction of the Great Wild Forest.

At that point, numerous formidable contenders gathered outside of the Supreme Treasure of Yuantian. The tension was palpable.

Long Bichi noticed Jun Xiaoyao right away, but it wasn’t as if she was actively searching for him.

Jun Xiaoyao was able to attract everyone’s attention no matter where he stood. It always seemed like he was the center of attention.

Long Bichi stared at Jun Xiaoyao and calmly asked, “Are you Jun Xiaoyao?”

“Who are you…?” Jun Xiaoyao looked back at her.

Of course, he could tell the woman in front of him was from the Lair of Zulong thanks to the dragon horns on her head.

“I am Long Bichi. I am of the lineage of the Heavenly Dragon from the Lair of Zulong,” Long Bichi replied, a hint of arrogance in her voice.

A strange look flashed across Jun Xiaoyao’s face when he heard her answer.

He replied after a while, “Well, what a lovely name…”

Long Bichi gave Jun Xiaoyao a confused look. She didn’t understand what he meant by that.

Rays of golden divine light illuminated the sky from a different direction.

A mighty golden lion lumbered toward them, making the ground tremble.

The most unique thing about it was that it had nine heads. Additionally, its Qi and blood surged like tidal waves.

Meanwhile, the nine heads let out a thunderous roar filled with both power and dignity.

“It is the young supreme from the Nine-headed Lion Clan!” Many human cultivators shouted with pale faces.

The Nine-headed Lion Clan was an extremely fearsome far ancient group.

According to legend, an unstoppable Nine-headed Lion caused trouble for many people a long time ago. Eventually, a Buddhist Emperor intervened and subdued the Nine-headed Lion, making it his personal mount and protector.

Although the Nine-headed Lion Clan diminished in recent times, a Highest Supreme called the Nine-Spirit Dimensional Saint restored the group’s reputation.

The Nine-headed Lion Clan would’ve certainly joined the far ancient royal family if they had more members.

“Could this young supreme be the descendant of that Nine-Spirit Dimensional Saint?” One human genius was visibly scared.

The Nine-headed Lion looked at Jun Xiaoyao and said, “Not bad. Young supreme cultivator, your impressive strength makes you qualified to be my follower.”

A strong wind suddenly blew from the other side of the sky. A black bird large enough to block the sun flew towards Jun Xiaoyao.

Its wings looked like clouds hanging in the sky, while its eyes resembled two blood moons.

The bird left a stench of blood behind it that made many human cultivators nauseous.

The Sky-devouring Swallow was another infamous far ancient race.

“Humans are never qualified to be followers. They are only meant to be consumed…”

The bloodthirsty Sky-devouring Swallow spoke while glaring at Jun Xiaoyao with its red, glistening eyes.

The Sky-devouring Swallows were exceptionally violent, preferring to feast on humans.

For the Sky-devouring Swallow, Jun Xiaoyao’s Sacred Body of the Ancients was a certain kind of tonic.

Even so, this Sky-devouring Swallow didn’t have the vain hope of eating Jun Xiaoyao alive; it knew about his mystic guardian.

Jun Xiaoyao tilted his head and looked at the pompous far ancient creatures in bewilderment. He asked, “Are all of the far ancient races as stupid as you two?”
