Su Ye was about to pull the robe off, but before she could, something heavy slammed into her arms. With the robe blocking her eyes, all she could feel was a warm softness. Instinctively, she curved her arms to hold whatever it was. For Su Ye and her superstrength, such a feat was nothing.

Suddenly, the robe was pulled off her face.

Su Ye’s eyes widened as she saw the figure in her arms. She had actually caught a man!

How could she describe him? Beautiful? Foxy? Gorgeous? A siren? Those descriptions were for women, but they really suited the man in her arms!

The man was leaning against her, his long eyelashes shadowing half-lidded eyes. He only wore a white inner garb, since his outer robe was the cloth that had landed on Su Ye. His skin was pale to the point of looking sickly, a stark contrast to his thin lips, which were such a vivid crimson it seemed as if they had been painted with blood. To top it all off, he had an alluring fingernail-sized mark of a red spider lily on the corner of his right eye.

The man’s exquisitely delicate features could really leave people breathless!

Suddenly, the man in her arms cleared his throat, his face turning paler as he swallowed. He seemed to be as delicate as he looked. He lifted his gaze to meet Su Ye’s eyes and said slowly, “You saved me.”

Suddenly, the man’s nose twitched as he picked up a fragrant aroma. It was not the sickening scent of perfumes, but a seductive sweetness. The scent became even more distinct as he raised his head. He shifted his head towards it… and ended up pressing his nose against Su Ye’s neck. His crimson lips brushed against her fair skin as he murmured, “You smell so sweet.”

The man’s warm breath fanned Su Ye’s skin, and her knees felt wobbly, a faint blush rising on her cheeks. Nonetheless, she came to her senses and tried to lay the man down on the ground, but he kept his hand wrapped around her neck, refusing to let go.

He was basically pressing himself to her. It was clearly their first meeting, but the man did not have the self-awareness a stranger should have.

Su Ye awkwardly pressed his shoulders, trying to push him away. Despite holding back her strength as much as she could, that little push left the man coughing and stumbling backwards once he let go of her shoulder. Seeing his reaction, Su Ye quickly reached out and grabbed his arm to keep him from falling.

His repetitive coughing made that red spider lily look even more attractive, somehow. As a matter of fact, the first thought Su Ye had when she saw that red spider lily was ‘could he be the male lead’?

She quickly dismissed the thought though, since the male lead was supposed to show up two months after she fought Su Ruoruo.

It was her novel—she would know.

Su Ye breathed a sigh of relief at the thought. However, after studying the man from head to toe, she realized that he was quite good-looking regardless. As she ogled him, she stuffed the dark red robe back into his hands and wondered which other man in her novel looked this good.

Oh, right… there were several side characters who could give the male lead a run for his money when it came to looks.
