Return back into the Novel as the Antagonistic Playboy - Chapter 30

Lee Dong Sheng and Yang Zhi quickly looked at each other for a moment. Even though they weren’t saying anything to each other, the [Mindreading glasses] were showing that they were thinking the same thing.

When the hell did Song Shi Cheng, an ignorant young boy who knew nothing but to fool around, become so smart all of a sudden?

However, this level of surprise was not enough to win over a elite businessman like Lee Dong Sheng.

Lee Dong Sheng said in a firm, slightly cocky voice, “I admit that we think alike, Mr. Song, but that doesn’t mean I’ll agree to help you. Actually, you are the ones who want to ask for my help. If having Ye Wen Sheng in charge is all the idea you’ve got, I’ll have to ask you to go away now and not drag me into your mess.”

“It is just as you said, chief Lee” Song Shi Cheng replied calmly, “Now we are the ones who are in need to ask for your help, but who knows? Maybe you’ll start owing us once we work together.”

Obviously, Lee Dong Sheng wasn’t taking Song Shi Cheng seriously with that statement. As he turned his head back towards the treadmill, Song Shi Cheng continued to speak.

“My answer to the second question was that I can make chief Lee more money than Song Chun Lin. Now, if I happen to make the right guess again, is the third question about how I can make more money for chief Lee?”

Yang Zhi broke out into a chuckle,”Damn, I didn’t expect you to be both good looking and smart! Sorry for not taking you seriously before, but I’m going to really start paying attention to what you have to say now, okay cutie?”

“You have two more minutes,” Lee Dong Sheng said as his treadmill was running even slower. He was now fast walking and wiping his sweat off with his towel.

“I don’t need two minutes,” Song Shi Cheng said, then took out a folder from his pocket, “Here, you’ll be able to decide for yourselves once you see this project plan.”

With a slightly uncertain look on her face, Yang Zhi hopped down from her treadmill and began walking gently towards Song Shi Cheng. She then took over the project plan and gave it a brief scan.

As Yang Zhi flipped over to the second page, she suddenly froze

“Read it out for me,” Lee Dong Sheng said curiously when he noticed the shock on Yang Zhi’s face as she was reading the project plan.

Yang Zhi was entirely focused on reading, “Hang on, there’s something unusual with this. Let me have a thorough look at it first.”

Noticing how eager Lee Dong Sheng was becoming in knowing what was written, Song Shi Cheng decided to speak instead of Yang Zhi.

“Like Miss Yang Zhi said earlier, the real estate market isn’t doing well lately. Since we are approaching the turning point of the urbanization trend within this country, we will no longer be able to make money while simply sitting on our backs. Chief Lee, if you want to use the Fenghua group to make more money, we must find an alternative model that is more suited for the upcoming times”

In an effort to sound impressive, Song Shi Cheng tried to add in as many professional jargons as he could.

“Are you talking about that retirement village project your father-in-law proposed?” Lee Dong Sheng sneered, “I’ve done my research, boy. There is a lot of potential, that’s true, but how much of it do you think Chen Guo Tao would share with us? If we work with him, who’s to say that he won’t place all the burdens onto us and keep the benefits to himself? Go for it and fail all you want, but I’m not going to trouble myself for something so unprofitable!”

“Very sharp of you, chief Lee, but!” Song Shi Cheng smiled mysteriously, “I’m sorry to say this, but you and my father-in-law have same problem: you are both too rigid in your thinking! You are always talking about starting new opportunities because of how saturated the market has become, but why don’t you innovate on what you already have?”

“Make it straight. I don’t have a lot of patience,” Lee Dong Sheng breathed in exhaustion.

Like Yang Zhi, Lee Dong Sheng too turned off the treadmill and began looking over the project plan Song Shi Cheng gave them. As Lee Dong Sheng saw the title of the project plan, he tiny pea eyes suddenly widened like two walnuts.

The title of the project was ‘Proposal to Install Fundraisers for the New Medical Network

Song Shi Cheng didn’t bother to repeat what was written in the business plan, so he decided to cut to the chase.

“The Ma family has a project plan just like this one you’re reading right now,” Song Shi Cheng stated. “With the overwhelming advantage they have in the internet industry, the Ma Family has been trying to build their own medical network. Even right now, they are hiring a doctor called Ye Tian to set up an online service platform for them. The service platform is designed to earn donations from the public, and as a private fundraiser yourself, chief Lee, I’m sure you would understand how much profit there can be made.”

“Wait, something like that should be top secret! How did you get your hand on this?” Yang Zhi asked in surprize.

“Doesn’t matter how. The point here is that we have something we can make more money out of,” Song Shi Cheng answered plainly.

To be honest, the medical network project was something that Song Shi Cheng had already planned in his original plot synopsis. It was supposed to be a stepping stone for the original protagonist, Ye Tian, so that his skill in medicine could be recognized by others.

In other words, Song Shi Cheng was effectively stealing something that was supposed to kick-start his archenemy’s life.

From the way Ma Jin Biao was protecting Ye Tian during the engagement ceremony, it appeared that the project had already begun before Song Shi Cheng’s reincarnation. Too bad they can’t hide anything from the original author of the story.

Song Shi Cheng said to Lee Dong Sheng, “This project plan is only a draft. Chief Lee, if you are interested in the specifics, why don’t we meet again some other time and have nice, long discussion about it?”

Without saying anything back, Lee Dong Sheng stood where he was and gave a long stare towards Song Shi Cheng. After a few seconds of awkward silence, the grim look on his face finally squeezed into a kind, friendly smile.

“Sure. We can have a good, long discussion once the shareholder’s assembly is over,” Lee Dong Sheng said.

And that sentence marked the success of Song Shi Cheng’s negotiation plan

From the readings of the [mindreading glasses], Lee Dong Sheng had made up his mind to support Ji Ling. And with that, Song Shi Cheng knew it was finally the time to leave.

“Oh wait, there’s something I’ve been meaning ask this whole time,” Song Shi Cheng said to Yang Zhi before he left, “May I ask who you are, sweetheart?”

This Yang Zhi chick was neither to be found in Ye Wen Sheng’s profile, and nor was she a character from the original plot line.

‘Maybe she’s Lee Dong Sheng’s lover or something,’ Song Shi Cheng thought, but even that didn’t seem right from the way she was talking so freely before.

“I’m Sun Shu Yang, the new business partner of Jun Shi Funds,” Yang Zhi reached out her hand and gave a flirtatious smile at Song Shi Cheng, “Maybe we will be working with each other for a while from now.”

“Of course,” Song Shi Cheng replied as he gently squeezed onto Yang Zhi’s hand while they were handshaking.

Since there was still some time before the [Wang Ba jelly]’s effect wears off, Song Shi Cheng decided to tease her a little bit before he leaves.

“I can give you my number if you are interested in my company,” Song Shi Cheng gave a suggestive smile, “You don’t have to pay for me though. I’m not an escort”

As he said that, Song Shi Cheng quickly went for the door and left, leaving Yang Zhi and Lee Dong Sheng speechless right at where they were standing.

“Don’t tell me you fell for a kid like that,” Lee Dong Sheng asked dubiously as Yang Zhi’s face was starting to turn red.

“Stop worrying about stuff like that! I just think that boy has an interesting personality,” Yang Zhi spoke in a slightly guilty voice as she made a quiet tsk sound with her mouth.

Lee Dong Sheng scratched his head in confusion, “Huh. I’m wondering about the same thing myself. That snotty brat used to annoy me every time I see him. It’s really weird. I don’t why, but he’s actually quite likeable today. Fuck me if I’m right, but maybe he can help the Song Family to get back up on its feet.”

“We’ll just stand by and observe for now. Let’ s just focus on making our own money,” Yang Zhi replied absent-mindedly.

Lee Dong Sheng suddenly turned a perverted smile towards Yang Zhi,”Sure, sure, make more money. What about us though, Yang Zhi? Shouldn’t there be a little more progress to be made between us? Come on, bae, when are you going to give it straight to me?”

“Goodness, would you stop talking about that?” Sun Shu Yan rolled her eyes, “Isn’t it a little creepy to go after you niece? I mean, aren’t you technically my uncle since you’ve been my dad’s friend for so many years?”

Lee Dong Sheng persisted on like a disgusting old man. “What do you ‘creepy’? I’m divorced. You are single. How is status and age an issue here? Come on, bae! I’ve lost twenty kilos for you already. Haven’t I shown enough sincerity yet?” he said in a way which did not resemble a tycoon at all.

“Get rid of the other two hundred kilo then. I don’t want to get trampled over on in bed.”

“Well, we could always try different positions…”

“I don’t like being on top.”

“…”
