Reset of The Apocalypse - Chapter 60

You Qian realized that things were not right whilst eavesdropping on the conversation, instantly exiting the bathroom and wearing his clothes. He glared at the two foreign young men in the room and shouted at them, “What are you guys doing!”

“Sending you two on your way!” Both young men wore a malicious smirk as they pulled white gloves on their hands from their pockets strategically to avoid leaving their fingerprints. Then, they pounced at Lin Chao on the bed who was the nearest to them.

Leaning against the wall, Lin Chao looked at the two people coldly. The moment they pounced, he shot out a punch at one of the slender young man’s forehead!

Bam!

Twenty-six times of strength was exerted like a tidal wave!

The tall thin man only saw Lin Chao suddenly disappear from his sight before a punch came right in front of his face. He closed his eyes instinctively and raised his arms to resist.

There was a crack. When his arms were lifted up, he felt an earth-shattering pain hit him; tough and powerful, it felt like an unstoppable train!

Terrified, his arms were broken before his thoughts could make any reflex. Lin Chao did not stop there, his punch following through to the young man’s forehead.

Bam!

A distinct bone shattering came from his skull. The spot between the tall thin young man’s brows sunk deep as blood dribbled from his skin; his eyes were squeezed and popping out whilst terror filled his eyes, but they were already lifeless.

He was killed in a punch!

Everything had happened in a blink of eyes. Lin Chao withdrew his fist speedily and hurled it at the plump young man on the left!

Just as his visual synapse had sent the scene to his brain, the plump young man saw Lin Chao’s punch arriving before him. Overwhelmed with fear, his mind went blank and he could only instinctively exert his maximum strength to rouse his special ability as a defense.

Metal!

His power was controlling metal. Any metal within three meters of range could be manipulated according to his wish. Other than that, he could metalize his skin.

His arms that he raised in defense shone a faint gold, looking vaguely resembling the Goldenized effect but it was apparent to be less frightening than that.

Wham!

Lin Chao’s fist was like a berserk beast that came down fiercely with such destructive force!

The plump young man immediately felt his arms losing senses and were broken in a particularly odd angle. Lin Chao’s fists appeared to be magnified in his eyes, so fast that his brain was unable to react.

Buzz!

His mind felt like a heavy hammer had pounded his consciousness, as his ears lost the ability to hear. He thought that perhaps blood had flooded his eyes as his sight turned red. Whilst his body also felt as if it had lost its weight as he flew out backwards. The last thing he saw was the man’s cold cutting gaze in the world painted red.

Lin Chao looked at the two corpses distantly. Although they were Special Evolveds and their abilities were not weak, but there was no chance to showcase their powers when just his physique had already overthrown theirs.

Manipulating metal?

His speed was not as fast as Lin Chao’s fist!

Even if both of them had not underestimated their opponent and fought with their might, their fate would have still ended the same!

Although You Qian had been a witness of Lin Chao’s capability, he did not think that it was far more powerful than his imagination. Both of the young men were Evolveds like him but they lasted less than three seconds facing Lin Chao.

He even questioned. if he were to run amok on Camp Ability. Would there even be enough people to resist? Perhaps they would all fall victim to Lin Chao.

Zhou Xin who was standing at the door was stupefied. The just lit cigarette perched between his lips fell inaudibly. He looked at Lin Chao in a stupor, doubting if this was a dream; he was well aware of his lackeys’ abilities. They were in the top three hundred of Camp Ability and that was more than enough to subdue a newbie. However, the reality was the complete opposite of his expectations.

“You – you…” He pointed at Lin Chao. There seemed to be an overload of information in his mind which turned chaotic, disabling him from composing a proper sentence, despite the time that had lapsed.

Lin Chao flashed, vanishing from the bed and appearing by the door in the next second like a ghost, and looked at him closely.

Feeling like he would enter into cardiac arrest, while the air was weighted like metal prickling his pores, Zhou Xin forced a smile on his face. “Don’t – don’t be offended. I’m just joking…”

Ice cold without a hint of emotion, Lin Chao choked him and made a soft yet violent thug. There was a crack. Before Zhou Xin could even struggle or unleash his special ability, his neck was promptly broken and he died.

You Qian watched Lin Chao kill three people in such a clean and succinct fashion. The thick coppery scent of blood in their dorm would definitely attract a throng of zombies and mutated beasts if they were in the wild. He was a little scared. “Bo – boss, you’ve killed them. What do we do?”

He had seen Lin Chao killed zombies but he had never witnessed him kill people.

In his perspective, murder was still something significant, thus he inevitably felt guilty.

Lin Chao waved his hand, summoning the Golden Hound from his alternate dimension space, and ordered, “Drag them in.”

The Golden Hound perked up, promptly biting and dragging the three corpses into the alternate dimension space. After devouring the giant red-scaled snake, it had a twelves times physique now. Entering the maturity phase of the growing stage, its size doubled, looking more like a pony now. Its fur now even more radiant gold, like they were shining; it was as if genetics and cells could already produce pure Golden Blood!

When a certain maturity was achieved and when the Golden Blood within it had reached a certain amount, one could occasionally extract some to modify their physique.

After cleaning the corpses, Lin Chao went out.

“Where are you going?” You Qian followed.

“The girls’ dorm,” Lin Chao replied coolly.

“You mean… them?” Struck with realization, You Qian quickened his steps.

Coming to the ground floor of the female dormitory, Lin Chao identified that there were only a total of seven people in the building based on his twenty-six times more enhanced senses of hearing and smell. Two of the seven people were Hei Yue and Fan Xiangyu, who were currently on the sixth floor.

Lin Chao manipulated the light to conceal himself and You Qian before they entered the female dorm. Lin Chao avoided the other female Evolveds on their way lest Sensory Evolveds could sense both of them.

They arrived at one of the rooms on the sixth floor smoothly.

Depending on his strengthened hearing and sense of smell, Lin Chao had sketched out a model of the room in his mind from the data he collected despite the door being closed.

Other than Hei Yue and Fan Xiangyu, there were two other females in the room; one of them was no longer breathing while another was seated on the floor, probably subdued.

Lin Chao pushed the door open.

What he saw nearly matched the picture in his head. Hei Yue and Fan Xiangyu were seated on the empty beds on both sides while a dead young woman lay on the floor of the bed inside; her eyes rolled up, fingers writhed into claws, terror and pain colored her expression.

On the bed beside her, a mature woman sat with her shoulders tainted red in blood and her face fearful.
