Repaying With Marriage - Chapter 12

Shi Su entered the house with the script in her hands. As soon as she walked in, she remembered something and quickly went downstairs to purchase a few stuff from the nearby supermarket.

She had written down a list in order not to forget anything, but the list had disappeared for some reason. It had probably fallen out of her pocket. She did not take it too seriously, though for she still luckily remembered the items she needed to buy.

After parking the car by the fence on the other side of the district, Sister Jun saw Shi Su enter the supermarket and return home with two bags of things half an hour later.

“I’m home.” Shi Su first went to the master bedroom to take a look. The man had probably rested enough in the afternoon and was doing simple exercises with his limbs now. Although his movements were still slow, he seemed to be much better than in the morning, and his spirits were even lifted.

Jing Jihan had already heard the door opening earlier but did not know why she had gone out again. At this moment, she came in with a shopping bag and placed the things by his bed.

“These are for you; they’re all necessities,” said the woman as she took out a new shirt. “The supermarket didn’t have clothes, so I went to the store in a hurry and bought two sets of men’s homewear. I think you’re about 1.9 meters, so the size of these two sets should fit you better than the previous one.”

As she said that, the woman held up the clothes against him before she nodded in satisfaction. “Not bad. The material is also very soft, so it’ll be comfortable to take off when you change your dressing.

“Oh, and I also bought you this pair of indoor slippers. Try it out; the size should be fine…”

He watched as she took out all kinds of things from the shopping bag and then fiddled with the novel things for a long time. For example, she did not know how to use a razor and played around with it before finally putting it into his hand properly.

“That’s all. Jihan, is there anything else you need?” Shi Su felt like there was no need to call him ‘hey’ all the time and simply directly called his name.

Just as he was about to pick up all the things she had bought for him, he slightly paused upon hearing her call his name.

At that time, she had thrown the dictionary to probe him out of boredom, and he had also randomly scribbled a name which was similar but was unconnected to the Jing family. Having not thought much of it, he did not expect her to call his name so nicely…

The woman asked again, “Anything else?”

Jing Jihan looked away from the woman’s face and, at the same time, pointed to the cell phone which was charging on the bedside. “Your mobile can be used after charging. Please lend me a secondary card.”

“Oh, it’s still usable? I’ve used that cell phone for three years.” Shi Su looked at the phone and saw that it was indeed still usable, though it was not as responsive as a new phone. Still, it did not affect much. She removed her secondary card and put it inside.

“Then I’ll save my current number on the phone. I’ll be very busy from next week onward, so if your family still hasn’t come to find you, then we’ll make another plan. For now, you can use this.”

She returned the phone to him and was about to hang the clothes in the closet when there was a sudden knock at the door.

“Shi Su, open the door!”

It was a woman’s voice, laced with anger.

The man listened to the increasingly heavy knocks at the door and calmly looked over at the woman, whose face had instantly turned green.

The woman looked back at him, her eyes showing dismay…

Why had her senior sister run upstairs?!
