Reborn Queen’s Uprising - Chapter 52

After a whole night of hesitation, Director Ceng finally bit down and got into his car the next afternoon. He headed straight to a group of palace-like mansions in the outskirts of Donghai City. After getting a favor from someone he knew, he finally saw the person he wanted to meet at the swimming pool behind a mansion in the east.

That was a huge and tall young man. All of his muscles were intertwined together, looking like formations of rocks. An extreme bursting force and impact force exuded from his exquisite firmness and strength. His shoulders were wide with a thin waist, and his figure looked extremely good. His eyebrows and eyes were narrow, long and a little raised. There seemed to be a hint of chilling fierceness in his pretty eyes. His eyelashes were so long and dense that even women would be jealous of it, just like two black butterflies resting on top of his eyes. His black orbs were bright but deep, and his nose bridge was tall and his lips were extremely thin. They were curled into a devilish yet chilling smile. His scarlet lips shined with an alluring shine. His facial features were handsome and alluring, as he exuded a hint of devilishness. From head to toe, there was a vicious chilliness that made one not dare to look straight at him.

Ever since it was heard that he was going to come to this mansion, the entire courtyard had fallen into a thick feeling of suppression and suffocation. Every servant was doing their best to be light in everything they did to try and minimize their existence as much as possible. From the moment that he stepped into this courtyard, even the bird chirps seemed to be gone from the entire area, as the area fell into a vortex, as if the entire world had lost its sound and color, and the only thing remaining was his terrifying coldness.

When Director Ceng entered the backyard, he couldn’t help but shrink into himself from the fear of this overwhelming suppression and coldness. He did his best to shrink his surface area. When he saw that cold yet devilish young man suntanning there with not a shred of material on him, his legs instantly fell weak as he took a step forward. He almost fell on his knees with a loud plop. “Young Master Long.”

“I heard you wanted to see me?” the other’s voice was extremely low yet magnetic as well, as it exuded a uniqueness belonging to him. However, his voice made the listener’s hairs all stand up unconsciously.

“Y-Young Master, I have something to report!” Director Ceng did his best to muster his courage as his figure trembled. He looked up and met that pair of dark eyes before he looked down quickly once more. He gritted his teeth, “The youngest master of the Wei family, Wei Yanmo, bullied my people too much. Not only did he snatch a person Shengshi Entertainment had eyes on, he even said disrespectful words like what is the Long family… Young Master Long, it’s alright if they bullied me, but we cannot let them bully the Long family like this. Young Master Long, please show your invincible prowess and teach them a lesson!”

“Oh?”

A soft hum with an increasing intonation rang in the backyard like a silent bomb had imploded into the atmosphere. The servants could not help but shiver from the cold as they bowed their heads even lower.

“Wei Yanmo? I heard that the Wei family’s youngest master has a pretty good reputation. Did he really say that?” the young man asked softly.

Director Ceng hesitated for a second, looking as if his head was going to touch the ground if he bowed even more. “Yes, Young Master Long!”

“Ceng Wei, you’ve been working for the Long family for a few decades already, right?” the young man suddenly raised his eyebrow and asked calmly and naturally, “All these years, from a small nothing that fought in the mafia to the director of Shengshi Entertainment today, did we, the Long family, ever treat you badly?”

The cold sweat on Director Ceng’s forehead fell as he said with trepidation, “Yes, I am extremely indebted and grateful to the Long family. If it wasn’t for the Long family, I, Ceng Wei, wouldn’t be what I am today.”

“Although the Long family has never been afraid of anyone on this land, we were never willing to become enemies with others easily too, especially with those elite families.” The young man’s expression seemed to be laced with some nostalgia. “And it’s because the Long family has always stayed low-key, never made enemies with anyone, and knew how to keep our places that we can have such intimate relations with the current administration and have today’s glory… If not, China would have no mafia. Just your words are enough to make the Long family’s influence in China disappear instantly.”

Director Ceng was completely confused, not knowing what Young Master Long was implying.

Young Master Long hummed softly as he suddenly straightened his legs. “Someone come and bring Butler Qian over.”

What did this mean? Ceng Wei was a little confused, but this Young Master Long’s mind had always been hard to read with his dark and somber character. He never said if he was going to take care of the Wei family and instead, simply called a butler over. What did this mean then?

A few minutes later, a middle-aged man dressed conservatively walked over and bowed slightly at this Young Master Long. “Young Master.”

Young Master Long hummed as he crossed his legs once more. As he played with the tall red wine glass in his hand, he chuckled. “Butler Qian, you’re in charge of our Long family’s intelligence. Tell me, what exactly happened between Shengshi Entertainment and Donghai’s Wei family?”

Hearing this, Director Ceng felt as if lightning had struck him as he fell on his knees immediately!

Was he trying to joke around by thinking to deceive the intelligence agents of the Long family? Was that something a small nothing like him could do?

Butler Qian ignored Ceng Wei, who was beside him, as he hesitated for a second before he bowed his head and said calmly, “Young Master, this isn’t counted as a confrontation. It’s just that Mr Ceng Wei has a manager under him that is called Zhao Zhigang. He had his eyes on a celebrity, Cheng Mu’s manager beauty. He wanted to force himself on her, only to have the Wei family’s youngest master, Wei Yanmo, bump into them and he saved her. Zhao Zhigang got too angry and used the female celebrity he was in-charge of, Yang Shan, in exchange for Mr Ceng Wei’s support. Also, I heard that the female celebrity under Zhao Zhigang, Yang Shan, had some animosity with that manager beauty as they had a dispute before.”

“I-I… I’m wrong! Young Master Long, the people under me were the ones who concealed the true state of affairs from their superiors, I was fooled as well…” Ceng Wei’s face turned pale immediately as he couldn’t help but cry out.

Young Master Long took a sip of red wine as he ignored Ceng Wei’s explanations completely. He said with slight emotion, “Tsk tsk, you’re throwing a thousand gold just for a beautiful smile. Even I, the Long family’s young master, have become a pawn in your hands. If our Long family’s intelligence wasn’t what it is, wouldn’t all of you be waiting for me to start fighting with the Wei family while you… spectate the whole farce from the side?”

“Someone, come,” Young Master Long stood up and stretched his tall figure. He blocked some rays of sunlight and cast a dark shadow across the ground. “Take this Ceng Wei away and settle him with the industry’s rules. Also… throw that Zhao Zhigang into the Huangpu River to feed him to the fish. As for that celebrity called Yang Shan, just throw her into the public relations department. You don’t have to come and bother me about such trivial matters in the future.”

With that said, this Young Master Long wanted to leave the backyard, but Butler Qian, who had remained on his spot, suddenly said, “Young Master, I’m afraid that this won’t do.”

Young Master Long stopped in his tracks but did not turn around. He raised an eyebrow, “Oh? Why do you say so?”

“Because… I’ve yet to say the most important point,” Butler Qian’s eyebrows were tightly furrowed as he continued lowly, “The manager beauty Zhao Zhigang wanted to force himself on is called Tang Xiaoxiao.”

“Tang Xiaoxiao?” Young Master Long digested the name, yet his eyes were staring straight at Butler Qian.

“Yes, Tang Xiaoxiao. The only baby daughter of Tang Yuanfeng of S County, Liyang City’s top elite family, the Tang family and of the Tang Dynasty Corporation.” Butler Qian’s words made Young Master Long freeze instantly.
