Wearing a white robe, Nangong Liuyun sat leisurely on top of a luxuriant tree not far away from the lotus pond. A faint smile crawled across his charming face. His bright eyes were filled with immense interest and enjoyment.

It looked like it had been a terrific decision to come to the Grand General’s Mansion today. It was serendipitous that he had managed to catch quite the show. Who would have thought the Grand General’s daughters would be so entertaining?

The infamous imbecile of a daughter was clever and slick, yet the one that was fawned over in public had been played and was made suffer dreadfully.

Stroking his smooth jaw, Nangong Liuyun turned his eyes toward Su Luo with interest.

In spite of her young age, the girl was foxy and quick-witted with endless tricks. Her physical skills were also passable.

As for her appearance… Nangong Liuyun looked the girl up and down carefully.

She was only 14 or 15 years old and had a relaxed smile with a pair of clear and sparkling eyes. Even so, there appeared to be a part of her, deep within her eyes, that reflected dedication and callousness. This part was as dark as an abyss, and no one seemed to be able to reach the depths of her heart.

A smirk flashed across Nangong Liuyun’s face. He had reached his conclusion; the girl was definitely cunning and treacherous. She liked to plot and plan for her own gains in secret. She would hide in the shadows and smile in triumph when she succeeded, even if she had killed someone.

She was virtually identical to Nangong Liuyun himself. How fascinating.

All of a sudden, Nangong Liuyun had the feeling that he had finally discovered the one person that was the same as him after he had searched throughout the whole world. The magical, unprecedented sensation caused him to feel instantly enchanted by Su Luo.

At that moment, Su Luo suddenly felt as though something was off. She realized that someone seemed to be leveling an intense gaze at her.

Su Luo raised her head while searching for the source and saw a dazzling young man leaning on the top of the highest parasol tree. With a smile on his face, he was watching her with intense and curious eyes.

He was wearing a brocade robe. His almond-shaped eyes narrowed, and his luscious upper lip curled stylishly. He was resting his forehead on his hand and lounged lazily on a fork high up in the tree. The sight of him sitting there was exquisite and romantic. He looked like a beautiful young man walking straight out of a comic book.

His eyes were sparkling brightly, yet they were also watchful, as if they could see through everything. He stared firmly at Su Luo with a cheeky yet meaningful smile.

“Are you enjoying watching?” Speaking with a grin, he seemed to be in a cheerful mood.

His four words held a double meaning.

He could have either been asking if she had enjoyed watching Su Wan and Su Xi suffer and fight with each other, or if she found pleasure in watching his handsome face. Or maybe, he was curious about both.

Su Luo’s pretty eyes squinted a little.

When had this man come? Had he arrived before or after her? To her great surprise, she hadn’t been aware of him at all.

Was it because she was not cautious enough, or was his martial arts cultivation level too high? She knew for sure that she had been highly alert the whole time. Then, her ignorance could only be on account of his remarkable martial arts skills.

Su Luo’s lips curled slowly, and she said in a frosty voice, “Have you seen enough?”

Su Luo was quite hostile to the uninvited stranger who had snuck up on her and watched the fun at ease.

A feeling of amazement rattled Nangong Liuyun’s heart. His dark, inky eyes locked with Su Luo’s bewitching ones. All at once, he realized the heartbeat in his chest had sped up a little.

With an amused countenance, he said, “What a cunning and duplicitous woman.”

Su Luo raised her eyebrows slightly. “What a sanctimonious man,” she replied with a tender look. It was hard to tell whether or not she was smiling.

Nangong Liuyun’s beamed, his face full of delight and exuberance. His gentle voice was deep and captivating. “You’re wrong,” he said. “You and I, the Prince, are the same type of people.”

What Nangong Liuyun implied was that Su Luo might as well be ridiculing herself if she mocked him any further.
